Be immersed in the peace and quiet of a Tuscan olive orchard by staying in this stone farmhouse which features traditional architectural elements such as terra cotta floors, vaulted ceilings, and original wood fixtures. Dive into the plunge pool with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. For adventurous travelers who will appreciate the 10-minute panoramic walk to the house (we will transport your luggage and groceries by tractor). The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

SUMMER ONLY WEEKLY Sunday/Sunday. At the beach by bike, forget the car and the rush! A bright and air-conditioned semi-detached house awaits you in a quiet area with all the shops within walking or cycling distance! (two included in the rent). Easy and free public parking around the house – independent entrance, first floor, of a semi-detached house free on 4 sides, a few meters from the supermarket, bus stop, pharmacy, bakery, pizzerias, bars and many other stores. Consisting of a kitchen and living room (with sofa bed) on the ground floor, a double bedroom, a bathroom, a small bedroom (with bunk bed) and a balcony on the first floor. Outdoor laundry room with bathroom. 3 bikes (2 adults 1 child) and a barbecue are available free of charge. Indoor parking for motorcycles. Garden on three sides. The house is in a quiet area, on a private road. Parking is 10 meters from the house. We provide guests with: Beach towels, linens and kitchenware, towels, sheets, pillowcases and certified mite-proof pillow covers. Toilet paper, soaps. There is a small safe and washing machine on site. We also provide free use of 1 women's bicycle and 1 mountain bike. Air conditioning, internet, Wi-Fi included. TV in the living room and bedrooms. The house is in the center of the village but in a very quiet residential area. It has an outdoor space on two sides with a garden and gazebo for lunches/dinners. You can park your car inside the property or outside in front of the house. On the ground floor, there is a living room with sofa bed, air conditioning, kitchen and bathroom. Upstairs, there are two air-conditioned double bedrooms, one with a terrace, a walk-in closet, and a bathroom.

There is a place a few steps away from the famous VERSILIA (Tuscany) called BORGOMETATO. Here various structures have been designed by the Architect Stefano Viviani, who has realized In each of them, a very refined style respectful to the place. Il Borgo di Metato is surrounded by olive trees, lots of green spaces and there are some donkeys for the joy of children. La Cipressa is part of this place.
