Possibly the most hospitable Airbnb host I have ever had. Such a lovely and warm welcome. Stay at Suman’s place if you are in the area!

Hasith made us feel at home, he is incredibly friendly and accommodating. We booked the safari through him and it was really great, he gave us breakfast and then came to the park to bring lunch. Because I was stung by a bee during the safari, he got ointment in the pharmacy without us noticing. The accommodation itself was really very very clean and beautifully furnished, you really live in the middle of nature, there are great plants and experience a bird song of the finest 😄 Hasith's mother prepared a Sri Lankan dinner every evening, we did not eat better on our trip than here, just incredible! Many of the foods were from their own garden, which made it even more special. We would come again and again and recommend the accommodation to friends and family ❤️

Staying with Thisarn and family was like Airbnb used to be - unique, special and like you were invited into the real heart of the country you are visiting. I felt so lucky to experience this little piece of paradise in the rice paddies. It was so peaceful to just sit and watch the nature. Such a calming place! Thisarn was so kind to escort me on a tour of the rainforest for a very reasonable fee, and is an expert at spotting creatures and making the whole experience fun. Meals were delicious and had that extra home cooked love! I would recommend this place to anyone who loves being in nature and just soaking up the local vibes of this small village. Also recommend using the infinity pool up the road by the national park entrance for a small fee. And swimming in the river near Thisarns home is lovely too. Thanks to Thisarn and family for their kindness.

Only stayed one night at Sandun's place, but a fabulous stay. Went on a great safari tour organized my the host, just a few minutes after checking it. The safari was fantastic with a guide who really knows his stuff, with a keen eye, he kept spotting the animals, that would otherwise not been noticed. After the tour we had a great srilankan dinner at the stay, and then again breakfast in the morning. Delicious!! Highly recommend!!
