Holiday rentals with a kayak in Vänern

The house was very sweet and perfect for a short break for a family. Fengersfors is a pleasant little village, and we really enjoyed using the sauna by the lake which Gaby helped the fix. There's clearly more going on in the village in the summer but there's still plenty of nice walks to do in the area. Gaby was extremely helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Top marks!

We had an amazing stay at Imre & Olga’s lake house! From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed by their warmth and hospitality. The location is absolutely serene, quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature with the lake just steps away. No neighbors, no noise—just pure relaxation. The house itself is beautifully designed with a cozy, thoughtful touch in every detail. You can feel the care and love they’ve put into it. Whether enjoying a quiet morning by the water or a relaxing evening inside, everything about the space invites calm and comfort. This is a true hidden gem and perfect for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge. We left feeling refreshed and grateful, and we already hope to return! Beautifully located house by the lake and forest. Very great furnishings and amenities

This place is truly magical—peaceful, with an amazing lake view. If it had been warmer, we’d have taken the boat out. The house is spacious, in a private, quiet, and idyllic setting. The kitchen is fully equipped, the floor heating is cozy in winter, and the fireplace adds a wonderful touch. We were welcomed with a bottle of delicious wine and a lit fireplace. Overall, an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a quiet escape in nature.

We had a nice evening at Anna-Karin's house. It was clean and nice and had a nice location with lake view and pool. The area was quiet and Anna-Karin was quick to help us if we had questions. Recommends this accommodation :)

An absolute dream surrounded by nature! The house is wonderfully quiet in the forest with a breathtaking view of the lake – pure relaxation. The furnishings leave nothing to be desired: sauna, jacuzzi and a lovingly designed, tasteful furnishings make the stay perfect. You can tell how much heart is in this. Communication with the host was also great – super friendly, always available and quick to respond. We felt completely comfortable and can highly recommend this accommodation!

We spent 9 days in Patrik's house. A wonderful place, modernly furnished and yet cozy as at home. Large kitchen with lots of equipment, nice bathroom, comfortable beds. We had wonderful weather and were able to make good use of the terrace and the seats by the fireplace in the evening. The location by the forest and the lake is unique and the tranquility there is soothing. The house was our most beautiful AirBnB - so far.

The house was large, with two lovely large bathrooms and good beds/mattresses. The kitchen was well equipped and with a good fireplace. The house is located with a beautiful view of a water and you see an old church at the end of the water. Lovely beautiful, peaceful and harmonious view. Nice hiking opportunities in the woods right on the other side of the road. Very nice little hike through the forest with irr green moss, and a lovely view of water, forest and sky at the top. If we had more time, we should have walked more along possibly around the water and looked at the cute Swedish living rooms and farms around the water. Unbelievable location with a cozy cabin!

We stayed for 3 nights in the small house on the island and we had a wonderful, quiet and relaxing stay. The house is really well furnished, clean and offers a magnificent view of the lake. We were the only guests during this time and therefore had the island to ourselves. Anders has already instructed us superbly in advance and always answered questions very quickly. We had a rowing boat for the crossing. Although my partner rowed very well, the crossing after a trip to the campsite was very challenging due to strong winds. We therefore recommend renting the motor from Anders. He also offers this. We would have loved to stay longer, but we had to move on. We wish all guests the same relaxation that we were able to enjoy in Anders Haus and are happy to recommend the house and the Superhost! Fränzi & David from Switzerland

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful house! We felt very comfortable here, both in the house and in the beautiful surroundings. We were out on the lake by boat and were even able to catch fish, which was a real highlight. We also made nice excursions to the surrounding area and slept wonderfully every night. The fresh eggs from the chickens were great, and we really enjoyed spending time with the cats, dog Ronja, the chickens and of course your dear cows. We especially liked the loving little things in and around the house, and as a little extra we even found a geocache nearby. Thanks to the warm temperatures, we also dared to go swimming! Above all, we were able to fully recover and now feel wonderfully relaxed. We look forward to coming back. Warm regards, Julia

We had three beautiful days on the small island. Especially the kids enjoyed the stay very much. In the evening we could make fires and enjoy the tranquility. Unfortunately, there were also many mosquitoes, but we were prepared for that. The location is very nice and quiet. The accommodation itself is very simple, but with everything you need. Refrigerator, gas stove, etc. worked perfectly. The outdoor shower also serves its purpose. Communication with Peter was great and very fast. Definitely to be recommended.

The description “dream house” was extremely accurate! If you are looking for a perfect time at a quiet lake this is the place to go. We will definitely come back

Very nice house with amazing views to the Vättern lake. Nice sand beach and clear water. The house was big enough to accommodate our family of 5. Sten was a good host ready to help when needed.

We stayed with our dogs over Christmas and New Year's Eve in the cottage of Conny & Carina. The house is beautifully located on the edge of the forest and is very tastefully decorated with attention to detail. Conny & Carina are wonderful hosts who always made sure that we had everything we needed and that we felt comfortable. Conny even made it possible for us to load our car, although we could not drive into his garage due to the roof box. We felt welcome and at home from the first minute to the last minute and would recommend the cottage 100%. It was a wonderful, quiet vacation. A thousand thanks to Conny and Carina!! We will be happy to come back. 😀

We (2adults with kids 8 and 5 years old) spent one week in this cozy cottage. We had such a great time full of peace joy and happiness. If you like to enjoy the Sweden nature on its best you need to stay at this beautiful place. The included canoe and outdoor kitchen were absolutely highlights. The lake is not that much good for a fishing trip cause it seems to be empty of fish. Unfortunately. But we saw a moose in the wild instead. The self check in was simple and all the other things you need to know how to use were unmistakeable declared. Thank you both for an unforgettable week

We had a lovely Easter break at this wonderful little cottage. We enjoyed the peace and silence, the surrounding beautiful forests, and the kids enjoyed a lot collecting the fresh eggs! Welcoming hosts, very recommended!

It was a wonderful experience me n my boyfriend got.. he was very friendly and let us know about a lots of his area like boating fishing.. His family were sweet especially his mom… place is very Clam if u want to be away from city life .. i was happy to met asta the cute little poodle… my furr baby was more happy den us to play with her… all over i had best experience ..but be careful with mosquito 😅😅😅they r huge 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Th

It was a lovely house. It's super quiet, you only hear the wind and sounds of nature. Every day deer in the fields, owls at night, edible mushrooms near the house. So if you want a quiet holiday you should come here. There are so many things to do in the area. Beautiful nature preserves where you can walk. Tova and Thomas are very kind people. They also have a very cute dog and cuddly chickens.

We spent almost two weeks in Alvasjö with a family of 8. The place is nothing less than magic. A lovely house, renovated just the way it should be, leaving the historic parts and gently adding modern needs. Sara and Ed were really helpful, always there when needed and very easy to contact. Excellent communication. The area is beautiful, went canoeing, rowing, fishing, mountainbiking, SUP, hiking, Sauna ob the lake, mushroom and blueberry picking. It was not „just another holiday“, it was more than what we all dreamed of when it comes to „holiday in Sweden“. Will certainly come back, a must go when you want to experience a comfortable and exciting holiday in the middle of wonderful swedish nature. Many many thanks for everything, Sara and Ed!

Johann's place is one of a kind! In the middle of nature, you are alone, have hiking routes directly at the house and direct lake access. Despite the seclusion, the accommodation offers all the luxury you wish for: sauna, jacuzzi, an electric boat, kayaks, etc. We were 10 including 2 small children and had a super relaxing time together. Therefore, I can fully recommend the accommodation if you are looking for peace, nature and relaxation.
