Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ventura County

This is the best place we have stayed so far! Perfect for our family with the pool and lots of space for everyone to relax inside or out. Nili was a great host that answered questions and did everything she could to make sure we had the best time. She even provided everything we would need to enjoy the beach. I highly recommend this for any family looking for a great stay in California.

We stayed at Louis’s for a week. We wanted to be close to the point break to surf and it was easy to arrive there. The house had everything we needed - including little desks for working which was great. The backyard is nice to have. We were also able to get to Ojai real quickly from the house which was great as well. Currently trying to figure out with Louis if he can get my knifes and a scarf I left at the house sent over to me. He’s been super helpful. Thank you for having us

Annie was very helpful and promptly responded. The house and grounds are well equipped and furnished/decorated in a Ventura theme, with 1940's features that match the home's and neighborhood's age. We'd be happy to stay again on our next trip to visit relatives in town.

Me and my family stayed here for the weekend and it was so beautiful. The house was so clean and they provided us coffee. There was a pool that we got to enjoy. The house itself is so beautiful and it’s very close to the beach. We loved everything about it. We wish we could’ve stayed longer definitely coming back.

Very pleased with my recent stay at The Channel Islands Beach Retreat. As soon as I entered the property I felt like I was in a secret garden oasis. Absolutely loved all the amenities and comfort of the home. The beds were a dream! I slept so well. I hope to stay here again in the future because I was so impressed! This was a perfect place for a relaxing weekend for us. The house is snug, but the backyard seating area was a great place to chill. There isn't a lot in the immediate vicinity of the house, but it is centrally located and just 5-10 minutes from a lot of what Ventura has to offer. We were able to walk to the pier and downtown easily. John and Andy were great hosts and responded quickly to any requests.

We absolutely loved staying in David’s home. It was right near the beach for us to walk to in the morning. And while our entire family felt right at home, our cat was the one who felt the most heartbroken to leave 🥲 Typically, it takes him awhile to adjust to new spaces and can make him quite anxious. But in David’s beautiful Ventura home, he felt safe, comforted, and absolutely LOVED the environment. We’ve literally never seen him happier. There were so many big open windows for him to look out of, and the scratchy rugs were especially comfortable. We couldn’t have loved an Airbnb any more than this home and how happy it made all of us! Thank you David!

Ben and Annie were wonderful hosts! We were very impressed with the decorating, cleanliness and response to a couple of questions we had. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for our family. We can't think of anything that was not perfect! We will definitely stay there again when we're back in Thousand Oaks. Thank you, Ben and Annie, you have a great place for guests to relax and enjoy!!

Great spot, Terry and Militsa were very helpful and friendly. Their rental was beautiful and perfect for what my family needed. Plenty of space if you have a larger party. The place was clean and the toddler loved seen and helping to feed the animals! We can’t thank them enough for letting us share their space.

One of my favorite hosts Ive experienced. The location was amazing. Everything in the unit was very high end. I never thought Id be raving over a toilet but this thing was unbelievable with functions I didnt even know a toilet could have. The showerhead was amazing as well. Loved the tub. Everything was just perfect. Highly recommend this host and this property.

Our five-month stay at this property was truly exceptional. Kerri and her team welcomed us and our pets with such warmth, making us feel like part of their family. The property is stunningly stylish and perfectly situated along Ventura’s vibrant Main Street. Whether you’re planning an extended stay or a weekend getaway, this home is an ideal choice. Our pets may have loved it even more than we did! We’re incredibly grateful to Kerri for her gracious hospitality, especially toward our furry companions. 10/10, highly recommend!

The house and the location were perfect! When we come back to Ventura this is where we’ll stay again. Everything was clean and our kids were happy with the games provided outside. This house made our vacation!

Loved this place. Great ocean view, very quiet and peaceful. The entire property was beautiful and we loved their garden. They were some of the friendliest people who've hosted us.

Jason is an amazing host. He is very responsive and helpful. The cute place has everything you need for either a short term or a long term stay. It’s quiet but it has a lot of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Definitely will come back next time we visit Thousand Oaks.

The house is really nice and cozy. Easy to access. Kitchen has all the required utensils and other cookware.

Amazing stay! The apartment is located right on the beachfront with direct access to the beach — you can literally walk out and feel the sand under your feet. The place is clean, cozy, and exactly as described. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying morning coffee with a sea view. The host was friendly and responsive. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful beach getaway!

This place was absolutely beautiful with an amazing view of the water! Beach access was also great to have very close by! It was great being able to fall asleep with the sound of the waves! Amazing air bnb to stay at!

My wife and I stayed here while I attended a conference 45 minutes away, inland. I’m so glad we stayed where we did because of the views. Not difficult to get around. Grocery store and restaurants are not a far drive away. The place had everything we needed. Older adults, so pretty quiet. You can see and hear the ocean from the condo. Host was quick to respond to any questions.

Such a beautiful large condo Great location and Terri was so kind and helpful. Had access to e bike which was so fun. Hot tub was relaxing and really enjoyed having an outdoor warm shower after going to the beach. Loved this spot and would definitely stay here again!

Eileen’s place is an absolute dream. Beautiful condo that is bright, clean, and comfortable. Steps away from a gorgeous beach and picturesque town! Eileen was super communicative and provided clear instructions. I’d love to visit again!

Amanda’s place made it super easy to get everything I wanted out of this amazing town! Truly just 1 minute from the beach, walkable to the cute DT, parking spots were easy to find, and very peaceful little patio. Thank you for a great stay!
