Round Pond Lodging - Eagle's Nest

This cabin is just part of our business which is called Round Pond Lodging, where we offer deer and turkey hunts during the season. Another plus to our property is that we are just minutes away from the Shawnee National Forest, Ohio River, Harrah's Casino, and Paducah KY home of the AQS Quilt Show. Every property we have offers a view of the quiet, beautiful, scenery that we call home. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.

Waterfront cabin on the beautiful Lake of Egypt! This property is located in a very private area of the Shawnee National Forest in Tunnel Hill, IL. You can relax by the lake and watch the wildlife or just enjoy the views from the built-in sunroom. This lake cabin is also located near the wine trails and is the perfect getaway to enjoy the lake amenities, hunting, fishing, zip lining, rock climbing, hiking, biking, and enjoying nature at its finest. Our cabin is just minutes away from the Trail of Tears, Dixon Springs State Park, the delicious Chocolate Factory, the towns of Golconda, Metropolis, and the bigger city of Paducah. Just 2 miles down the road from Bald Knob Cross of Peace. This studio style cabin was recently renovated and has a fully functioning kitchen. Bald Knob Cabin is the ideal location to unplug and put your feet up after a long day hiking trails or traveling the Shawnee Wine Trail that flows through the cozy, inviting town of Alto Pass.

The Cabin is nestled in the woods, a few hundred feet from a beautiful private lake. If it's total solitude you are looking for, this is the place. Keyless entry makes it perfect if you want total privacy. If you want lake access, come down and have coffee with us for orientation. Our pantry items, coffee, granola, half & half, and spices are perfect for your full-service kitchen.

Cabin sits on 40 acres with pond, beach area, and walking trails. Beach area, pond and walking trails are shared with other two rentals. Bring your own charcoal and firewood.
