I’ve stayed at over 50 different places in Alkmaar over the past 7 years, and I can honestly say that Femke’s place stands out as truly special — without a doubt one of the very best I’ve ever stayed in. The apartment is cozy, beautifully decorated, and exceptionally clean. You can feel the attention to detail throughout: from the quality of the furniture to the thoughtfully chosen amenities, everything has been arranged with care and taste. It’s rare to come across a place that combines charm, comfort, and quality so seamlessly. Absolutely worth staying — highly recommended!

This place is a garden paradise! So private in a neighborhood! Great walking path to the train station and grocery stores. Walkable to the cheese market and the cute shops along the canals! Joya is a great host and is quick to respond! If you’re looking for a place outside of the hustle of the big city, this is the place for you, as a lone traveler or with your family.

The dream of a vacation rental. Perfectly located on the dune reserve, this house impresses with aesthetic furnishings, generosity and optimal amenities. We just felt super comfortable. There was nothing missing. A large garden with grill, well equipped kitchen, nice living and sauna area made the stay perfect. Christiane is a warm host and extremely friendly. Communication with her was easy and fast. We especially liked the high quality bedding and the comfortable beds. I would book the house again and again when in the area. Great recommendation!

We were a group of 6 people and had a wonderful stay in Koedijk with Nico and Jacqueline. The house was very nice and very well equipped. In 15 minutes you were in Alkmaar by bike. Nico and Jacqueline were very accommodating hosts and we would come back anytime.

We stayed with 4 adults and 2 babies in the house under the chestnut and felt super comfortable. The house is furnished with a lot of love, very cozy and well maintained. We felt right at home. The small front garden is beautiful and also behind the house you can sit nicely. With crawling children, the stairs would be very steep and not secured. It was ok with us. A baby bed was available. The communication with Astrid was completely straightforward. We were very warmly personally welcomed and would have been able to enter the accommodation earlier. Nearest beach is a quarter of an hour by car. Alkmaar is easily accessible by bus. Overall, we had a great stay and can absolutely recommend the place!

We booked the house because it appealed to us from the reviews. Our expectations were far exceeded. We arrived at a house where we immediately felt at home. In the kitchen there is everything you need for daily use. Everything is very clean and tastefully decorated. Communication with Saskia was possible without any problems. We rented the house with a friendly couple and went home after a week very well recovered. We can recommend the house without hesitation. We would like to come back next autumn. Great location! Spotless and tastefully decorated. Not a standard Ikea stuff but a solid colorful interior. And equipped with all comforts for 2 people. Quiet and the center of Bergen is close by. Please note that if you bring bicycles or racing bikes, there is no storage, because you will not put them in the cottage. No owner would like that. I was able to store the racing bike at a bicycle rental shop nearby. Bergen is touristy but not too touristy. Excellent restaurants and the beach of Bergen aan Zee is well organized and clean. We will definitely come back!

Maaike and Jeroen were lovely hosts, making us feel welcome in their historic monument home. With 40 chickens, two rabbits, one cat, and one dog, we felt like we were one with nature. We had a safe place in the barn for our bicycles, and there was everything we could ask for to cook nice meals. Fresh flowers on the table and treats in the cupboards, we felt really spoiled. The bed was the biggest we‘ve seen in a long time, and it was extremely comfortable. There were giant tulip fields to the left and right of the house. The sunsets were glorious and make for taking endless photographs.

I had a super nice stay in Eva's apartment! A beautiful, spacious house that is equipped with all comforts. I thought the cheerful Blond tableware was a nice detail! In addition, the location is ideal: the station and the center are close by and the house offers the perfect base for a nice walk along the canals. Moreover, Eva was easily accessible and responded very quickly to messages. I can recommend this apartment to anyone!

Very nice apartment, perfect location and impeccable communication.

We had a great time staying at this place. A nicely furnished and cozy apartment in the center of Alkmaar, in a backyard where the cat greets you every morning. Everything has been thought of and Vincent and Grace are very accommodating and helpful. I recommend this place!

Lovely apartment and quiet neighborhood!

We had a wonderful time at this beachfront home. The location is fantastic and the area offers many opportunities for recreation and exploration. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful – their tips for excursions and activities were very valuable. The apartment itself is very luxuriously furnished and equipped with everything you need. We felt completely comfortable and can absolutely recommend this place!

Our stay at Monica and Pasqual’s was excellent. The home is exactly what is depicted in the photos. Monica and Pasqual’s communication with us was excellent and when we asked about our bicycles they provided us with a solid lock so we could safely leave them in the front yard. The huge bedroom windows overlook an intersection and I loved sitting in bed with the morning sun streaming in, enjoying my early morning coffee while watching the local people go about life. The location was perfect for us to walk from the train/bus station or cycle to family and friends.

We had a great time in this sweet apartment. We loved sitting in the living room overlooking the canal and appreciated the great shower and overall layout of the apartment. The location is fantastic. Very residential and more peaceful than other parts of the city we have been to. We highly recommend it!

A very nice apartment in a beautiful location with a great host!

Perfectly located apartment from which you can enjoy a fantastic sunset in the evening. The beach bars are in the immediate vicinity. The center is about 15 minutes on foot. A plus point is the parking space belonging to the apartment and located on the property. We can definitely recommend the stylishly furnished beach house.

Our stay with MorningStar in Amsterdam was absolutely exceptional. The home was pristine, beautifully designed, and full of luxurious touches that made our three-night stay unforgettable. We arrived to find thoughtful treats like fresh fruit and chocolate waiting for us—such a warm welcome! The location was perfect: central, quiet, and incredibly walkable, which made it easy for our family of four to explore the city. Every detail exceeded our expectations. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommend!
