Cottage holiday rentals in West Chiltington

Lovely house and beautiful location for our mother’s 60th celebration family gathering. The beautiful views from the garden, fire pit and hot tub were a great hit. We did two lovely walks from the property - one to a vineyard - and there are some fun cafes/bars in the village as well. Sandra and her husband made sure we had everything we needed during our stay and communication was very quick. I would recommend this property :)

Very cozy and quiet cottage in an idyllic area. Super friendly host and had plenty of great recommendations for us. The sauna is also Finnish approved! 😉

This was our second time staying and we loved it as much as the first time. The place is so peaceful and cosy. Jane was very responsive and helpful. Looking forward to booking another stay in the future!

We absolutely loved our stay such much so we didn't want to leave. Sitting & having a few drinks with the family in the beautiful garden after a day out was very relaxing. Would definitely stay here again & would highly recommend - could not fault our stay. Thank you Crystal x

A lovely modern cottage, exactly as described and photographed. It was well kitted out and essentials were provided. The bed was super comfortable but just a gentle note that if you have any mobility issues the apex of the roof means that you cannot stand up straight around the bed and the bed is low but this was not a problem on our stay. Helena and Philip were both really friendly and helpful. My personal favourite touch was when Philip invited me to pick some roses from the cottage garden to take inside. The hot tub was a real treat but please be mindful that you are in someone’s back garden so not completely secluded if they are enjoying their own space. Highly recommend, we would definitely go back.

Absolutely stunning place. Like a super luxurious safari lodge! Whole area is beautiful and everything in the lodge is state of the art. We stayed with our 3 kids who fought over who would get the canopy bed in the lounge. Loved the hot tub, had a fab bbq and slept like babies. Spent a day at west wittering beach which is close by and felt like we were abroad. Sarah’s lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. She even let us stay all Sunday as they had no-one arriving at no extra cost. Who does that? We’ll definitely be back!

We had a lovely weekend for my Dad’s birthday - the cottage was far more spacious than it looked and was set in the most beautiful surroundings. Neil and Caroline were lovely and super helpful. Thanks for the best stay!

From start to finish, this place is an absolute dream. So peaceful and relaxing, it was the perfect little weekend getaway. The house and surroundings were absolutely spotless, the ducks were adorable, and the attention to detail with providing extras needed for comfort was superb. Clare was a fantastic host. Always responsive but never intrusive. If you're looking for somewhere to stay for a few days or more with your partner - or just on your own - where you can recharge your batteries, this is it.

Staying at Jo’s cottage was so pleasant and blissful. It was the perfect weekend away. I stayed with my pup and we were both comfortable and secure. I brought groceries with me to cook but the cottage had coffee, tea, olive oil, and a few bits of seasonings which I think was a really thoughtful touch and so useful. The kitchen has everything you need! The secure front garden was also ideal and perfect for letting the dog out and not being worried about him wandering off. It’s also a really beautiful spot to sit and read or enjoy some breakfast or lunch if the sun is out. The area itself is very quiet and peaceful. It’s the best location if you’re a single person looking for a place to stay and enjoy nature.

Loved this cottage. It had furnishings and decor entirely in keeping the age and character of the cottage. We were warned about low ceilings and the steep stairs. Kitchen is well equipped and opens on to the back garden with seating area. The separate dining area has a table cut from a slice of timber. There are 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds. Bathroom has both a roll top bath and a walk in shower. Washing machine very cleverly is tucked away next to the bathroom. Bosham is a quiet, pretty village with a frontage to the sea channel. There are 2 pubs ( both recommended),a couple of cafes and an arts and crafts centre. The Church is also worth a visit. Nearby are the seaside villages of East and West Wittering. Parking beside the West Wittering beach is expensive so plan to stay most of the day. Chichester is accessible by bus (no 56) from Bosham. All in all a great place for a few days stay.

We had a great stay at this cute cottage. The beds are really comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped. We loved the atmosphere of the place and we thought it fits well with Arundel town. Highly recommended!

Such a lovely home, we didn't want to leave! Hosts were excellent communicators and also very warm and kind people. Loved our walks along the canal and peaceful surroundings. We will be back!

Beautiful location and the host added very thoughtful amenities like a choice of bubble baths to choose from, a massager machine, fans in every bedroom which was very much needed during this heatwave. The choice of teas and coffees were amazing too.

Elizabeth was a warm and welcoming host. She and her husband were remarkably tolerant of 4 dogs. The area that Elizabeth lives in is very beautiful and the barn and garden are incredible. Lots of really lovely walks around. It was a treat to stay here.

A great stay -the cottage was perfect ,not too far from the main town which gave us a chance to explore .We had everything we needed ,the bed were super comfy and the Netflix helped when the rain came in the evening . Excellent

We loved Emma’s cottage - cosy and comfortable. The village of East Meon is delightful with wonderful walks (Old Winchester Hill with its Iron Age fort and barrows is especially recommended). There is an excellent pub, and East Meon is a good base for visiting nearby places such as Winchester and Salisbury. Emma and her husband were very responsive. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at Chris’ place. The location is perfect for exploring the Sussex countryside (Petworth, Ridgeview etc all nearby). The house was clean and well equipped, and Chris was communicative throughout. Highly recommend for a relaxing escape from the grind with friends or family - with the added bonus of a village pub in spitting distance!

This was our first time in Petworth (having enjoyed other small towns across Sussex), and Emily's lovely cottage was a great base for walks in the surrounding countryside, a visit to Petworth House and just curling up with some holiday reading. In the town/vicinity, we particularly enjoyed walking in Petworth Park, up to Lodsworth and across the Shimmings Valley. The holiday decorations at Petworth House were beautiful, and the selection of wine at Hennings (literally down the street) was great to accompany home cooking in the very well-equipped kitchen. The cottage was extremely stylish and comfortable, the bedroom particularly cozy with super-soft linens, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Emily was communicative and flexible with dropping off bags, which made it easier to enjoy the v limited daylight at this time of year. Thoroughly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this South Downs idyll. Our son loved seeing donkeys and pigs, eating strawberries and watching the tractors plough the field. The hosts were kind and attentive throughout our stay.

Elspeth and Adrian were the best hosts we could ask for. We stayed here last minute for several weeks, whilst we were renovating our house. They went above and beyond anytime we asked them for anything/a question. My daughter fell in love with their two lovely dogs, who she enjoyed playing ball with. The location is stunning and there are several beautiful walks nearby. I cannot recommend this place enough. We will definitely be returning for a weekend visit!

Lovely gardens, comfortable converted barn with everything needed, very friendly owner living nearby and always there to reply to any enquiry. Near to lovely locations to watch wildlife and go for walks.

It’s a beautiful unique stay with hosts that go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. They kindly provided a lot of kitchen staples and communicated clearly how to find the place. Lots of privacy in this stunning country retreat.

Lovely spot, we had a nice tour of the farm including introduction to the friendly pet sheep and Shetland ponies. Eggs from the hens when you wanted them and a nice welcome package of wine, beer, milk and cake. Very pleasant and helpful hosts.

We had a lovely stay at Claire’s place. The annexe is beautifully furnished and extremely clean. The countryside surroundings are beautiful. It has a nice smart TV and some cooking facilities such as kettle and toaster. It felt like a very safe area and the property/parking is gated. Will definitely keep this property in mind for future trips to the area! Thanks very much
