Glebe Lodge Westbury sub mendip Wells

I think it says it all that whilst we were there we rebooked to come back again later in the year - the place fitted us down to the ground; located in a pretty, peaceful village but within very easy, short driving distance of lots of attractions and places of interest. Would highly recommend this host and accommodation.

Thank you Sarah, for a wonderful stay over Christmas for my daughter Florence. We needed extra space and Sarah's home was perfect as 10 minutes away. She was so accommodating, responsive and helpful, advising of local dogs walks. The apartment was furnished so beautiful, exactly as listed. It felt homely and spacious and enough room for all the family when we visited. Very warm and cozy and so peaceful. Beautiful village. Everything was so lovely and new and even an electric toothbrush charger in the bathroom. Netflix and all the channels to watch. We highly recommend Sarah's place and would happily return!

Poplar Farm Cottage

A lovely welcome of fresh warm home made scones complete with cream and jam- much needed with a cup of tea after a long journey. Cottage in a good location for Wells and Cheddar with great views of the Mendips. Quirky back garden with great bird life in the hedgerows, Cottage is roomy and comfortable with a nice sitting out area to catch the afternoon sun or have a BBQ. Get you in pack of fresh eggs and milk and basics, as well as kitchen disposables. Ample car parking and we were met by very friendly dogs. All in all a great stay from where we were able to visit the local area.

Charming House - Spectacular Views

JackRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home near Cheddar. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views — rolling hills, open skies, and the kind of peaceful countryside you dream about. Waking up to birdsong and a sunrise over the Somerset landscape was unforgettable. The house itself was spotless, stylishly decorated, and equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen was a joy to cook in, and the living area had huge windows that framed the scenery perfectly — ideal for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Every detail felt thoughtful, from the super comfortable beds to the cozy throws and local touches throughout. It was also the perfect base for exploring Cheddar Gorge, Wells, and even Glastonbury — but honestly, we were just as happy staying in and soaking up the tranquility. The hosts were fantastic too: friendly, responsive, and full of great local recommendations.
