Our cozy guesthouse offers the best of 2 worlds. You are in a lovely quiet place in the middle of nature with a view of meadows and forest. If you're lucky you'll be face to face with a cow from the house. But you are also only 15 minutes away from the lively capital Amsterdam. The guesthouse is very private at the back of our site at a good distance from our typical Dutch farmhouse. We live here with our 2 kids and our 2 dogs (who walk around freely). Peace & quiet, relaxation, plenty to do!

What a beautiful setting. And not only a beautiful environment but also beautiful people you step into at home. It is a pleasant arrival with a warm welcome and a nice explanation. In the room, there was a note with all the useful information we needed. There were even towels ready for showering. Sleeping at someone's house could be exciting, but definitely not at Jan Willem and Andreas' house. Highly recommendable!

Kenneth is very kind and warm-hearted. The accommodation is completely same as the description, which is cozy, clean and quiet. I would like to say the position is extremely good. The place is near to Zaandam station-just a 10-minute walk. So it is quite convenient to get anywhere. I highly recommend this place to stay.

Liliana and her son were great hosts, very friendly and welcoming. The apartment was easy to find, very green and peaceful area, good public transport solutions. Less than half an hour to the city centre. The room is exactly how it is in the pictures, very clean bathroom, plenty of hot water. Comfortable mattresses. I enjoyed my time at Liliana's, hope to be able to stay with her next time I'm in Amsterdam:)

We really enjoyed our stay in Ilpendam and only regret not staying longer. The host Kelly was welcoming friendly and informative and her little studio/shop selling beautiful Indian quilts and clothing etc is well worth a visit. The village itself is pretty and has a nice, friendly restaurant, a useful little shop, and a visiting pizza van on Thursday evenings for a couple of hours. The buses to and from Ilpendam/ Amsterdam Central are regular and about 5 minutes walk from the apartment- they are reasonably priced and efficient. Amsterdam itself is full of interesting things to do, and we found the I amsterdam card very useful here. As there are basic cooking facilities at the apartment we had breakfast and a couple of other meals there, and saved some money this way, as well as enjoying being in the apartment itself- it's very sweet, and with some lovely decorative items. Importantly the bed is very comfortable! We would recommend Kelly's apartment.
