Apartment holiday rentals in Windermere

The flat was lovely, beautifully kitted out and with some interesting lighting features! There was lots of space inside. We appreciated being able to stay a bit longer before checking out so we could have a planned zoom meeting. Thank you for being accommodating.

Great accommodation for the 2 of us & had everything we needed for a long weekend exploring this area of the Yorkshire Dales. We enjoyed the suggested walking routes, the route details provided were really handy. Viv and Ernie were lovely hosts and nice to chat to.

David was a very responsive host, communicated instructions very well and made sure I had what I needed for my daughter. The location was perfect for what we needed as it was a pitstop for a longer journey and just off the motorway. It was clean and tidy and had clear instructions that were easy to find.

Absolutely lovely flat just steps from Penrith town centre, ideal for a weekend break. Comfortable and clean with really tasteful decor, well equipped kitchen and a surprisingly spacious bedroom. We parked in Morrison’s car park which is only a couple of minutes walk and were able to leave the car there for the whole weekend, topping up parking using the RingGo app, Penrith is easily walkable with a few nice bars and restaurants plus the Beacon is fab for a stroll to a beautiful viewpoint. I’d definitely stay at Allison’s place if I return to the town.

The Barn really is a gem. We were amazed as we arrived how beautiful and peaceful the surroundings were. Kate gave clear instructions how to get there which was really helpful as we found other times on our trip the sat nav led us astray! The barn is so cosy and beautifully furnished, you can tell it’s been done with love and is stylish but very practical too. Had everything we needed for our weekend stay. After a wet day out walking coming back to a hot shower and putting on the wood burner was amazing! We loved our stay and would absolutely come back.

The flat was right in the centre of Windermere and a perfect base to explore. We parked in a side street 5m walk away for free and just did everything on foot which worked well as parking is expensive and hard to find. The apartment had nice comfy beds, large sofa, fully equipped kitchen and smart TV for a family film after a long day on your feet. We will be back next year.

This is our second time staying at the loft and we were not disappointed. As expected everything was clean and tidy and all that was required in the kitchen was in place. Alison and Victor were very helpful and accommodating before our stay regarding our booking. If we visit the area in the future we will definitely return to the loft and I will recommend to family and friends

We had a lovely few days staying at Dale’s place. The place was clean and tidy and very centrally located for everything in Keswick. We appreciated the tips on places to go and nearby restaurants. The additional parking time provided on the permit was also a bonus! We’d have no hesitation in staying again.

Angela's place is cosy and comfortable, as close to the delightful town centre of Penrith as it is to the larger shops for all needed supplies and very near the lovely local park with castle ruins to explore. One word of wisdom for future visitors is that you do need to turn on the second pull switch in the bathroom to get the shower going, but after that it's a lovely warm shower too.

This is a beautifully situated property set amongst a number of properties overlooking Ullswater and the mountains beyond; just like the images suggest. The property was easy to find and all the instructions were crytsal clear, with one parking space adjacent to the property and another not far away. The accomodation was very clean and comfortable with everything that we needed. The utility room outside is super handy for drying and storing muddy and wet gear. We were there for only two nights to undertake the MacMillan Lake District Mighty Hike on the Saturday. The Brackenrigg Inn is a short walk downhill towards the Lake and has good food and beer. We would defintely stay again and recommend this place for anyone wanting access to Ullswater and the surrounding area.

The property was a home from home. It was absolutely beautiful with an amazing garden and view. The property had everything we needed. The hosts communication was clear and proactive leaving no uncertainty about what to expect. The surrounding area is beautiful and the property itself very peaceful. Would definately stay again.

We enjoyed a fantastic couple of days stay at Scott’s place which is perfectly placed in the middle of the beautiful village square in Cartmel so that everything is within easy walking distance. The apartment was immaculate and we (and Freddie the dog) loved it - it had everything needed and some lovely touches like dog treats, biscuits etc and tea/coffee and Scott even asked for milk preference and provided oat milk for us! Scott’s instructions and communication were excellent and parking etc was well explained. Overall a fantastic stay with a great host and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and stay again

My family and I had a lovely stay at Ray and Sue’s. The place was beautiful and perfect for the 8 of us and Ray and Sue were very accommodating. It is close to a local pub and coop which was a positive for us. Recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area, and we hope to come back again!

Beck View is a beautiful apartment in an idyllic setting. The beck that runs past is fast flowing and surrounded by Kim’s well landscaped garden. We were able to sit in our terrace watching the water in the morning light , or move into the garden for sun later in the day. The apartment is everything you need and. Dry well maintained and presented. We loved the retro-looking fridge and funky furniture. Kim was helpful and knowledgeable, often around if we had any questions. Walks fro the door into the forest, and a short drive to lots of fabulous walks - and/or a swim in Bassenthwaite! Highly recommended! Thank you Kim

Thurnham hall is a great place to stay!

We loved our stay. The apartment was not like the photos on the listing but it was nice nonetheless. Quiet, easy access to Lancaster, helpful staff, top facilities - we highly recommend the spa. Would like to stay again.

Absolutely stunning! Perfect get away and stay for the weekend. The views were absolutely stunning and the grounds of the hotel are beautiful too. So peaceful, you can really get away from everything. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to explore too much as we didn’t have much time due to us taking part in the MacMillan Mighty Hike but we will 100% be back! Thanks Colin for all of your help, your place is beautiful!

A lovely modern apartment - it was clean and tidy with essentials (e.g hand soap, dishcloths, towels etc) as described. Beautiful view outside the living room/bedroom, perfect for sitting outside even if its raining since the table/chairs are sheltered. Fast wifi which was great. Communication with the host was great. The closest cafe is lovely too however if travelling without a car other restaurants are quite a walk or bus ride away (10-15 min drive). Lots of long walks nearby - we walked to ambleside via the hills and it was beautiful. One thing to note is the site is quite hilly but it's to be expected in the lakes. Would recommend 👍

Amazing place, would highly recommend. Great location and the flat itself was homely and clean. Fantastic hosts very friendly and great communication .

We really enjoyed our stay here at Whitbarrow. The apartment was lovely, with the special addition of the balcony overlooking the beautiful views, which we enjoyed with a cuppa or two. Our boys loved the toys and the drawing that was available to play with but, of course, their highlight was the pool. Local distance to Lowther, buttermere, Penrith, pooley Bridge, Keswick etc so lots to do. We’ll be back soon! 🙂
