Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Wisconsin River

After staying at Maddie's place, I went back through the listing to see what it was rated -- and was surprised it wasn't 5-star by other reviewers. I've stayed in dozens of Airbnb properties - and this one was a winner. Clean, quiet, private, and beautiful. It was the perfect place for my husband and dog to get a bit of R&R. We took a few walks, used several of the amenities in the kitchen area, and appreciated the water pressure and temperature for the shower. And the view alone was worth 5-stars.

Absolutely fantastic stay! Tim was very kind and responsive. The house had plenty of beds and space and was perfect for a peaceful weekend getaway! Went for my birthday with some friends and family and would love to stay here again next year!

A great experience overall. Very clean and well furnished spaces. A nice book with instructions and places to visit. We enjoyed our coffee and meals in the outdoor space.

Our family had a wonderful and relaxing stay! Kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and paddleboarding around the no wake lake. Would love to see how relaxing a winter stay would be.

I must say that this home is just as advertised, easy to find, very clean, and maintained. We would stay at this house over and over again. the hosts are amazing to work with and has helped out with our questions, concerns, and the responses super quick and amazing. Customer service is top tier.

One of my favorite AirBnBs I've ever stayed in. I like peace and quiet and nature and this place is remote, private, and right next to a quiet little park with trails. The backyard is beautiful, the driveway is huge and flat, the beds and couches are comfy, the house is clean, and Nathan is so so nice. These types of places are becoming rare on AirBnB, what a great stop!

All we could want in a BnB & more- very clean, quiet neighborhood, roomy with plenty of places to put our stuff away out of sight, comfy beds & furniture, sauna, hot tub, well-stocked kitchen, extra pillows & blankets & towels, tea kettle in addition to the coffee pots, and space in the cabinets. This is a place to truly kick back & just relax. The lake view was our favorite thing, and could be enjoyed right from the comfy couch- which was wonderful when the weather wasn’t cooperating. We really enjoyed watching the Great Blue Heron fishing in the shallows. Something we really appreciated was use of the attached garage. It rained a number of days while we were there, including while we were unpacking our car, and having use of the garage was great! This is a place that gets earmarked in hopes of a return trip.

We stayed here in Madison for the first time with our two toddlers, and it was great! The house is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood that's within 10-15 min drive to the downtown and all the attractions, place is squeaky clean, and had everything we needed. The hosts were detail-oriented. responsive and flexible with the check-in too!

We enjoy staying on Lake Callahan. Private and quiet location. Beautiful main house of Hostess and great cabin view and location on property. Fire circle and pier.

My family and I traveled to the area to attend a wedding. Jenny’s place was perfect for us. It offered all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. We would have taken advantage of more of them if our stay had been longer. We appreciated how welcoming and comfortable the property is. Jenny was great in providing helpful information and instructions, and she always was quick to respond. We would definitely stay there again on a return trip to the area.

I splurged and am happy I did. I'll quite possibly return here. It should be noted their are a lot of stairs and the bedroom loft has a steep staircase. This could be challenging for any mobility issues. That said I loved the place and it is really well built and a lot of attention to detail, everything you need and none of what you don't. Smartly appointed.

The Chateau (Robin's place) was just perfect for the three of us. It's peaceful rural location was beautiful and especially accessible for our hiking segments and connecting routes of the Ice Age Trail. It's also close enough to Baraboo, Sauk City, Merrimack, Prairie du Sac and even Madison...so you can explore small towns, villages and city life if you want or just soak in the beauty of the rolling hills in the driftless region. Our accomodations were just what we needed. Kitchen was well equipped and bathrooms were spotless. We were able to communicate with Robin easily. We also had an extra vehicle that she allowed us to park. We stayed there 3 times! Highly recommend it!

This was our 3rd trip to Jolynne’s place and we can’t wait to go again! It’s a beautiful property and perfect for a relaxing weekend.

There wasn’t even one missed detail when this place was made into an air bnb. They go so far above and beyond to make the stay absolutely perfect. I had the best solo weekend and can’t wait to go back! Thank you Dawn and Christine!

We loved our peaceful stay at Kari’s Airbnb. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the raptors, soaking in the hot tub, and making snores over the fire pit. Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic house. Very private and peaceful. Owners were very responsive and answered any questions we had. Very friendly and recommended places to hike or see. Highly recommend this rental if you are looking to get away and recharge. Sheep are a bonus.

My two best friends and I stayed at the fabulous Refugio Graziella for a relaxing girls’ weekend and it. was. perfect. Most of the weekend was spent lounging and chatting in all the many wonderful spaces the home offers: sipping coffee on the peaceful screened-in porch, relaxing in the hot tub, roasting marshmallows at the serene fire pit under the string lights with ample firewood and supplies, doing crafts and playing games at the inviting dining room table, cooking meals in the fully equipped kitchen, and listening to music in the cozy living room. We did not end up using the sauna (just didn’t have time), but are already planning a winter getaway to RG. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend it if you are looking for a quiet getaway, surrounded by nature but still a short drive away from anything you need or want. Clearly, so much thought was put into anticipating the needs of their guests, and that makes Refugio Graziella a place you immediately feel comfortable. 🥰

We cannot say enough good things about this beautiful house and the incredible surroundings. It is an exceptional listing with a wonderful host. Canoeing and bird watching was our favorite part— bald eagles, wood ducks, loons, swans and more. Easy drive to Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands. Amazing way to celebrate our twentieth wedding anniversary.

Our stay at the Liten Stuga was wonderful! Angela thought of everything to make the cabin inviting and comfortable. We are sincerely hoping to return.

My girlfriends and I traveled to Wisconsin for a weekend away. This cottage on the lake was so peaceful. It is hidden away down a two track road next to a very quite lake. We spent our time sitting by a fire, canoeing, and cooking together. The space is modern and comfortable and stocked with everything you could need. We also visited the quaint little town that is very close by. It has little shops and bars and there is a larger grocery store just off the main area. Gracie was very helpful and quick to respond when we had questions, a fantastic host.
