Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many birds in the surrounding trees or be a little more adventurous with the numerous local cycle routes. We look forward to meeting you on your stay. Lakeside Barn is a newly refurbished luxury modern one bedroom barn conversion. It has retained it's original charming features such as high ceilings and beams. Lakeside Barn consists of an open plan kitchen/living/dining room which leads onto spacious double bedroom and modern stylish bathroom. The floor is tiled throughout with cosy underfloor heating. Surrounding the barn there is a large patio area overlooking our beautiful lake with stunning panoramic views of the Somerset countryside.

This has been a labour of love, transforming this unloved structure into great place to stay and unwind, with underfloor heating and a luxurious bathroom to soak and relax in at the end of the day. If you want to venture further a field we are perfectly situated to visit Bath, Glastonbury, Wells and surrounding areas.

Step inside the pink door to discover the open-plan living space, sumptuous decor, inglenook fire with a woodburning stove, a stylish full kitchen, vaulted ceiling, luxurious linens, and memory foam mattress. Little St Johns is the perfect choice to explore the city of Wells, and all it has to offer.

Large country cottage with tennis court

‘Big Cottage’ is situated in the grounds of Fenny Castle House. Located on the bank of the River Sheppey; on the edge of the Somerset Levels and Mendip Hills AONB, midway between Wells and Glastonbury. The Cottage benefits from a shared garden and the use of the tennis court. The cottage has been beautifully converted and decorated by the owners and offers and all the home comforts that you could wish for; comfy furnishings, wood burning stove, super-fast broadband and a smart TV.

Fenny Castle Vineyard Cottage near Wells, Somerset

The cottage oozes character, from the oak beams to the huge inglenook fireplace with woodburner. Well equipped kitchen with traditional oak table and pews. The spacious bedroom has a king size bed and a small single bed, suitable for a child. Adjoining the bedroom, is the shower room with walk in shower. There is a large private patio area for relaxing and barbecuing outside, with views of the hillside. We have a vineyard producing English Sparkling and Still Wines, made on site.

Rookham View Lodge is located on a smallholding on top of the Mendips overlooking Wells. Relax on the patio, catch a view of the Red Kite soaring high, or visit the sheep, ponies, goats, ducks and chickens in the surrounding field. Get active on the many footpaths leading from our property, gently cycle the Somerset levels or try the more challenging rides on the Mendip Hills. Active or relaxing - we guarantee you will enjoy the view from our Lodge at the end of your day.

Hulbert’s Place: C15th house in the heart of Wells

This charming Grade II-listed two bedroom maisonette is situated within a row of ancient dwellings, just a short stroll from Wells Cathedral, The Bishop's Palace and the heart of Wells. Each of the two levels are embellished with wonderful authentic details such as original beams, restored timber floorboards and stone fireplaces. Originally built in the 15th century, the house has been sympathetically restored with an abundance of character, comfort and style.

The Dairy

The Dairy is a modern and spacious barn conversion in a quiet rural location with all the essential amenities for a long stay or short break. It is the perfect location to explore Somerset and the West Country by car, bike or on foot, with the beautiful Cathedral City of Wells just a 5 minute drive away or a 20 minute walk. Cheddar Gorge and Glastonbury Tor are also just a 15 minute car journey. The village pub is also within walking distance of the property.
