Holiday rentals with a fireplace in York River

The location was tucked away in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the York River. The house was exceptionally clean and they had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The Bluetooth speaker was a nice bonus for listening to music while overlooking the river from the sitting room. We had a minor issue with the plumbing, but they quickly reacted and it did not interfere with our trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly book again in this same location.

It was a lovely place - I would only say this: You will only have access to the lower level of this home. The second floor is a separate rental so you may be sharing the house with other people. There is no access to the second floor but you can hear everything that happens up there. You may want to clarify if other people are staying above you, if it’s something that you care about.

The Perfect view was a perfect place with a perfect host. We didn't know what to expect and can say our experience exceeded our expectations. The place feels very clean. The property is well thought out - with the landscaping/garden, the seats/firepit/jacuzzi overlooking the water, and the tranquil garden fountain. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, eating special meals prepared by Brenda and enjoying the company of her pets. Nellie Mae is the ideal sweet, soft, cuddly lap dog. (We normally are big dog people :) Brenda KNOWS hospitality and couldn't have been a better host. She makes the most delicious meals - we had her dinners and breakfasts several times and were never disappointed. Suprisingly, the fold-out King bed was extremely comfortable and the room had cool temperature with A/C and fan to help us sleep soundly every night. Delightful place with delightful host - one of our top Airbnb experiences! We will certainly be back. Thank you Ms. Brenda!!

Great host, clear communication. The stay was great for our children as it’s very walkable into town. The home was very clean and everything was easy to find. It was also a last minute booking at Chip made sure we were able to check in early when requested. 100% recommend!

A spacious hidden gem, with an excellent location to Colonial Heritage Golf and Country Club, great restaurants and a minute from the premium outlets.

Of my many Airbnb stays, Laura’s comes up with the very best. Her home is lovely, inside and out, with a lot of fun activities to choose from. Located on a beautiful creek opening to wide water gave us a chance to explore in her kayaks and paddle board. Rainy weather meant indoor board games, reading etc on the beautiful protected porch. The kitchen had all sorts of amenities for cooking. Plenty of bedrooms for sleeping in the peaceful atmosphere. I can’t wait to return there!

We had a really nice stay at the Rose Retreat! The home is wonderfully appointed with nice furnishings. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen with upscale drink and dinnerware. The hand written welcome note, bottle of wine and snacks were so thoughtful - thank you! A perfect location from which to enjoy Irvington and the surrounding towns. We hope to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the pool!

Great stay in Hampton! We were close to Captain George’s and Busch Gardens and the host was super helpful with our needs. Highly recommend if you’re traveling with a family and plan on staying awhile!

The place was clean, comfortable, and quiet, making for a very relaxing stay. Everything was exactly as described, and the host was responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend this place if you want to feel right at home! I will definitely rebook again!! :)

Highly recommend Lugina as a Powhatan host. Her listing was as described (and she asked them to assign a top floor unit for us at my request, meaning the twin beds were a queen instead, so 3 beds instead of 4 but that was fine for us) and she was always responsive. These units are consistently clean and fairly quiet - this one backed to a pond which was nice, and it was an end unit. We had noisy neighbors across the street but that is just the roll of the dice, and we weren't there very much anyway. We used the pools and hot tub and they were great. No complaints!

We had a great stay at Eddie's place! Very close to restaurants, Colonial Williamsburg, and Busch Gardens. The unit we stayed in was spotless and had all of the amenities that we needed during our stay. Highly recommended!

Anne's place was just spectacular! Perfect for 2 couples as our home-base to explore Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. The high end furnishings are beautiful. The patio, yard and lake view were wonderful. We enjoyed the theater room each night. Thank you for a great vacation.

We had an amazing stay! The accommodations were relaxing and perfect! Plenty of space to not feel crowded! We will plan on a return soon!!

The only thing that I did not expect when I initially booked this accommodation was the “sales pitch” for time share. This was communicated to me just before arrival. But overall great stay. The suite was pristine and very comfortable. Lovely pool, fire pit and hot tub which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We had a wonderful stay celebrating family birthdays! The house was spacious and had plenty of bathrooms. It was decorated beautifully for the holidays. We especially enjoyed the porches overlooking the spectacular views!

We were a group of three couples who wanted our own bedroom and private bathroom to retreat to after enjoying busy days and evenings around Colonial Williamsburg. We really enjoyed the location of Kingsmill and all of the spacious condo amenities!

This AirBnB was amazing! The line of communication from the day that I booked to the day we left was so comforting. I had messages on the day of arrival, checking on us and then received a welcome message as soon as we arrived. We walked in to a perfectly clean and beautifully decorated home, that even offered snacks, drinks, and many supplies that made our stay so easy. G-I even gave us a recommendation for pizza delivery. The furniture and decor was inviting and so comfortable. The view from both the upper and lower decks was relaxing and the patio furniture offered a wide variety of options. Hampton is a smaller and quiet town and was very easy to navigate. We spent time at the beach, which was not busy and the parking was close and free. We also drive to Norfolk and Virginia Beach. The drive was not bad and we seemed to be centrally located to allow easy access to the major roads. All in all, this rental made our stay easy and enjoyable. I am going to be back in this area in April and if I need the space and comfort that this rental offered, I will definitely be rebooking.

Great place 10 minutes from Busch Gardens. Very spacious bedrooms and common areas. Clean and equipped with all the necessities. My only “gripe” is I was expecting one king and one queen bed but got one king and two doubles. It wasn’t a big enough deal for us to request to be moved. Just be aware if that is a deal breaker for you.

Great stay! Spacious, clean, functional. Kids loved the pool and bowling.

This was an extremely comfortable stay and I’d stay here again, for sure! My husband, son and I played basketball and took advantage of both the indoor and outdoor pools. I slept great, apartment clean and accommodations thorough and very comfortable for us and for my son on the fold out couch.

We had a wonderful stay at Rosanna’s Airbnb! The home was spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained—perfect for our family. It’s located in a very nice, quiet neighborhood that felt safe and welcoming. The beach was just a short walk away, and the pool was absolutely perfect for the kids—they didn’t want to leave! Rosanna was a thoughtful and responsive host. We’d definitely stay here again!
