Pet-friendly holiday rentals in York

We booked this for friends to use for their honeymoon. Charles was very accommodating and helpful when booking and the space was just perfect. Particularly appreciated was the wood fired hot tub and lots of useful local information helping them to make the most of their stay.

We had a great few days in the house. It was very clean and comfortable exactly as described and shown in the photos. Clare left a few doggie treats in the kitchen which was thoughtful. Having a garden was great, not only for our puppy but for us chilling out in after a tiring day in York. It was conveniently situated for buses, dog walking area and local supermarket. Car parking is very much a bonus as parking in York itself is very expensive. Communication was always good. We would definitely recommend this house to stay as Clare and Gary are the perfect hosts.

The Cow Shed is perfect - very comfortable and all needs catered for. Christina and John are excellent hosts - very welcoming and helpful. We know the area well having lived nearby in the past and had a wonderful stay.

Idyllic four nights in The Shed. Nicola has the property resourced brilliantly and it was easy to feel at home with all the practical information she provided. The location is tranquil-days were spent enjoying the enclosed garden. The property is a nearby drive to a lovely village and market towns or you can venture further to Whitby or Scarborough. Thoroughly enjoyed our temporary home.

Great weekend in York on a girls trip. The house was perfectly located within a short walk to York centre. The house was comfortable and as described. The parking was ideal for one car. Our only downside was lots of the plates and cutlery were dirty eg tea stained cups, spoons and left over food underneath plates. This is obviously down to previous guests not cleaning things properly as there is no dishwasher. Jemma provided lots of cleaning products and the house is beautifully decorated. We most definitely would stay again.

One of the prettiest cottages we’ve stayed in. Perfect for our stay exploring Yorkshire. Julie was friendly and very helpful.

An amazing find! The house was so close to the city centre and, on a great little high street, it met all our needs! Allowing well-behaved dogs is really appreciated too. Sera was quick to reply to our communications, recommending great restaurants and coffee shops; the property exceeded our expectations and we would definitely book again the next time we’re in York. We had a lovely 3 night stay as a party of 6 plus a little one. James communicated well without throughout and we were even able to check in early. Even when the power for hot tub had tripped James was on it straight away. Would definitely recommend staying and look forward to booking again

Absolutely loved our stay at Cliff House with Jacquline. Beautiful location, swimming pool was such a bonus for the children, they loved it! The grounds were fantastic, such a lot to explore, our children loved the chickens and climbing frame and the private wood was great for hide and seek. Jacquline was such a great, friendly host and gave us great advice about visiting York. She even arranged an Easter egg hunt for our children. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend.

Comfortable holiday home for relaxing and enjoying beautiful surroundings. Lots of space and very nice kitchen in addition to comfortable and spacious rooms. The hot tub is a bonus. We didn't use the other facilities because we were in the area for a wedding and didn't have time but I am sure they are up to the standard of everything else. Sue is very helpful and resourceful. We particularly enjoyed seeing Paul hugging his horse one evening before the long horned cows joined them in the field. Ideal for families.

We were with the grandchildren for 3 nights. The apartment was so handy to get into Scarborough. We went down the lift and arrived at the spa. Then there were a couple of cafes

A super cute and cosy pod on a beautiful peaceful site, that was immaculately kept! The hot tub was amazing and the pod was equipped with everything you needed! We are looking to return over the summer with family and friends. Thank you!

Had an amazing weekend at Rachael's caravan, this was our second visit and we 100% plan on coming again. Rachael is a wonderful host who is easy to contact and she takes pride in her beautiful caravan. The caravan was extremely clean, comfortable and very homely, as the weather was warm we spent most of our time outside on the decking which had plenty of seating space and the hot tub was a great added extra enjoyed mostly by the kids. There was plenty to do onsite including the swimming pool, a private dog park where you can let your doggos off lead and play. The staff at the main reception were friendly and helpful and the bar area was clean with lots food and drink options. We would highly recommend coming to stay at Serendipity and we will be visiting again.

Great location! perfect for beach, dog walks and bus to Scarborough /Filey etc. if not driving. Caravan had everything we needed including dishwasher/air fryer/microwave and plenty of dishes/cups/glasses/ cutlery etc. Kim was a very responsive host. Situated near shop playground and pool it’s in ideal spot on the site. Car can be parked right across from caravan so easy to walk on grass to/from caravan.

Heath is a great host meet us there, made us feel right at home. welcomed the dogs Beautiful place, an amazing veiw. definitely will be back if it's not to booked up. 5 stars all round ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The check-in process was seamless, and every detail of the space was thoughtfully prepared to make me feel right at home. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything I needed (and more!). It’s clear the host truly cares about their guests’ comfort, there were even some lovely personal touches that went above and beyond expectations. The location was perfect, close to everything, but still quiet and peaceful. Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, this is the kind of stay that makes you wish you could stay longer. Lovely little place for our mini getaway. Set in gorgeous and private location, we even had the pleasure of seeing deer, rabbits, ducks and the farm dogs during our stay. The toilet was a little different than we are use to but did not impact our stay. Would recommend.

This was a birthday surprise for myself and we were blown away with the place. Its so beautiful and in such an amazing location. The cabin itself was stunning with natural wood used everywhere with a stream and woodland all around creating such a tranquil place. The wildlife around the cabin alone was unreal with birds, squirrels, caterpillars and water voles all putting on a beautiful show. The aroma walking in was beautiful and added to the ambience. Check in was easy and straight into the cabin so little contact needed which was great. Katy and Scott were lovely giving us local hiking tips and info about the area. A lovely couple who have created something really special at the lazy T (brook). The outdoor shower was amazing so hot and so nice to be under the trees with the sun shining through a truly relaxing experience. We honestly cannot sing its praises enough it was the perfect location and accommodation and just what we needed for a relaxing break away. Thank you so much ❤️

Beautiful and cosy little cottage in a picturesque village a 15/20 minute drive from York. We stayed in winter &, besides anything else, the log burning fire alone made it ultra cosy whilst the winds outside blew. The cottage had all the amenities for us to feel at home, including a very good shower and full kitchen. Rich was a very friendly and responsive host who was more than willing to accommodate our request to bring our dog too. Thank you very much for letting us stay!!

We had the most beautiful stay — the cottage was peaceful, private, and instantly felt like home. Everything was spotless and smelt amazing, with such a lovely, calming vibe throughout. The decor was gorgeous, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The hot tub was the perfect finishing touch for a truly relaxing weekend. The hosts went above and beyond with thoughtful details like fresh eggs in the morning and chocolates waiting for us on arrival. Communication was smooth and friendly from start to finish. You can really feel the care and effort put into every part of the stay. I’d absolutely recommend this place — it’s a little gem, and I’d love to return!

The barn was absolutely lovely. Situated in a very private location. The surroundings are amazing and just as Mel described with each window literally like looking at a beautiful landscape picture. So peaceful. The perfect location to decompress. You have never heard silence like it ! The property and amenities themselves were perfectly as described. Very cleverly designed property with the split levels. Everything we needed and the absence of those we did not (No TV). Special mention for the bed and bedding. It was the most comfortable bed and pillows in any rental/ hotel we have experienced. The property has walks available right out of the door. But the one we chose had some steepish inclines and drops up to the top of the moor and absolutely gave our legs a work out. We knew we had done it ! The perfect weekend to decompress.
