Family-friendly holiday rentals in Accrington

Patty’s Barn was a lovely stay for our family. Michelle was very friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome. The place we stayed at was cosy and full of character, with great facilities for us to use on site.

Had an excellent weekend away celebrating our mums 80th Birthday! Everything there for all the different age ranges from 15-80 year olds always something to do! Host was always at the end of a text for any assistance that was needed! The welcome basket was a lovely surprise! Will definitely recommend & use again. x

We absolutely love this place. Our second visit didn’t disappoint and we will definitely be back. Literally everything provided, host quick to answer queries, local co op for anything you don’t take, stunning scenery, lovely walks and a fabulous hot tub to end the day. Just perfect 👌

10/10! What a beautiful, remote location , our time at Two Acre plot was exceptional - especially being greeted by the lovely cows upon arrival. The pod was immaculate and homely. The view from the hot tub was fascinating and calming. We can’t wait to be back. Thank you !

My friend and myself spent a couple of days at Little Nook for some peace and quiet. We absolutely loved the place. so pretty and relaxing. Everything we needed was on hand, including a fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, spacious living area, and the hot tub was just wonderful! Sharon and Ralph were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. We will definitely return.

Firstly I like to thank emma for how accommodating you've been during our say. You couldn't do enough for us. and it didn't go unnoticed. we'd love to come back once the play barn has had its makeover. my only suggestion would be you get a pop up gazebo for over the hottub. With this coming at a additional cost and not been able to use it during the first night £60 seemed a little steep for the rental. But i do appreciate you don't control the weather. A pop up gazebo would have meant we could have used it both days. p.s thank you for posting back the things my kids left. buying them easter eggs and marshmallows for the fire pit. thank you

We had a fantastic stay at Sonia's place, the cottage was beautiful and was perfect for our family to stay over New Year. There was lots to do in the area and the cottage was in a great location. The hot tub was a fab addition in the frosty weather! Communication with Sonia was good and quick. Thank you! 😊

Just got back from a 2 night stay, it was lovely and peaceful and definitely relaxing 😌 While recovering from a broken ankle we needed to get away....was going stir crazy. Richard was such a lovely host, very helpful from my first enquiry with him. He was honest about the ground and steps up, he was great from the moment we met him. Honestly, it was awesome, we are definitely going back, when my ankle is heeled because the views and surrounding areas are beautiful and I can't wait to be able to walk them. The dogs also loved it....1 of them is very nervous and reactive, he was calm and loved it! Thanks Richard and family.... If you like peaceful, quiet, views, walks, hot tub and calming space....book it x

The cottage was beautifully located and the views were peaceful with the grazing sheep and cows. We found the small grocery store that was a 10 minute drive very convenient. Also, Lancaster was a little further and had anything you might need. Windermere was about an hour's drive from the cottage.

Heather (acting on behalf of Chris) was extremely helpful and responsive. We received clear instructions on how to work the heating and how to enter the property, as well as useful info on local amenities. The house has everything you’d need for a short or medium stay and the location is excellent for visiting central Manchester and the surrounding area. The garden is enclosed with a high fence, which made it perfect for our dog to play in. We also appreciated the dishwasher and washing machine and tumble dryer, which we were able to make use of. We couldn’t fault this property!

A proper authentic Yorkshire location with great scenery. An ideal base for Hebden, Haworth and the dales

We had a great stay in Richard’s property. The perfect little cottage in a beautiful setting. Communication was great throughout, we had all the information we needed ahead of our stay along with lots of local knowledge from Richard too. Would highly recommend.

Stayed for 3 nights, originally planned to bring my dog but didn’t in the end, however the property was absolutely perfect for having a dog with me and I would definitely stay again with dogs. Lovely layout, clean and tidy with everything you need and nice extra touches such as milk in the fridge and a basket with bread, cereal and biscuits. Carol was a pleasure to deal with, would highly recommend this property.

The house and grounds are really lovely and beautiful. Felt right at home when we turned up. Ann and Tony were very kind and responded quickly, when we messaged them. They were very happy to stop and have a chat. The views were picturesque. It was lovely having the sheep and lambs in the next field. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone visiting in this area.

I had a really amazing stay at Angie’s place. The pool was great for the kids and it was an added treat to be able to use the spa and gym. The surroundings were stunning and people on the park really friendly. Everything in the Airbnb was so thoughtful and in the right place with the right number of coat hooks for all the gear. Would defo return

2nd time we’ve been here as a group of ageing Dad’s getting away for a weekend together - and for the 2nd time it’s been exactly what we’ve wanted - we will be back again for certain

what a great air b&b . clean and tidy . we had an issue which was our right within hours. everything was explained in the texts we sent and received . can't rave to much about van, sie ,area and host. what a sea view.

We had such a fabulous stay! What a great place. I think it’s one of the best Airbnb properties I’ve stayed in. Fabulous position, within walking distance to Holmfirth town centre (not for people with good mobility though) but very quaint and quiet with amazing views over the town. Everything has been thought of in the cottage. We had a lovely hamper left for us. All the fixtures, fittings and furniture is good quality. We didn’t use the hot tub but it looks great. Small details have been considered where other properties don’t always, for example a light up make up mirror and a full length mirror. The resident ducks are great fun. Parking is a bit tricky, you need nerves of steel to drive up the road to get there as it’s very narrow but, once you’ve done it once, it’s fine and safe. I would strongly recommend booking this property, it’s beautiful, welcoming and comfortable and I’d definitely like to stay there again.

Visited Lower Gill Farmhouse as part of my mum's 70th Birthday celebrations. 12 of us ranging in age from 5 to 75! All rooms were a great size, was excellent having 3 en-suite rooms along with a very large main bathroom and a downstairs toilet. The Kitchen was lovely, everything we needed and more - might have been nice to have tea/coffee and a little milk left for when we arrived after a long drive but luckily our tesco delivery arrived early so this wasn't too much of a problem. The living room had 3 good size sofas so we could all relax in front of the log burner. We made full use of the pool, games room, football pitch and tennis courts - a great addition especially for the kids and 4 hours allocation each day was perfect. Our dogs had a ball too - lots of places for them to run and play. Even in January we managed to spend lots of time outside and the little stream at the back of the cottaqe was wonderful. Great response from our host too, even though she was on holiday herself.

10 guests stayed on a rainy weekend, games room and pool were brilliant. nice local walks and pubs local were all lovely. A shame we couldn't use the outdoor area due to the weather but overall a nice stay!

A beautiful cottage in an amazing area. we walked most days and did bot require the car all that much. we walkedto 4 local villages...visiting The Ablingdon Arms at Beckley on a few occasions. Our doggo was super happy in the cottage as were we! Cosy nights watching TV in the living room to big breakfasts around the dining table...and yhe odd midday nap. There has been alot of thought put into this place by the owners and it shows!
