Welcome to Gite Des Roses, set within a 300 year old farmhouse surrounded by the Normandy countryside. Myself, my husband, our dog, cat and 5 free range chickens love it here. Above the scenic Varenne river valley, this 300-year-old stone cottage has spectacular views of the chateau above and the ancient Notre Dame church below. Complete with a private meadow garden, we are just a 5 minute walk into the medieval city of Domfront with its cafes, bars, restaurants and many a boulangerie. Rich with history, beautiful flowers and breathtaking views of the sweeping woodland valley, it is a timelessly beautiful landscape.

Our farmhouse and buildings are classed as a 'remarkable site' in official documents. . We have apple trees, sheep, and chickens that wander freely. We are within an easy drive of Caen and the landing beaches and other beautiful places like Mt Saint Michel and Honfleur. We also have a games room. All shops within walking distance (bakeries, butchers, tobacconists, grocery stores... see my guide), bus station and SNCF. Very well-equipped accommodation. Flexible schedule only on request except on Sundays. Refund requests for cancellations outside of the terms are no longer negotiable.
