This was the cleanest and most thought out property. It had high quality amenities and was very spacious. I am in the area often and will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very clean, beautifully decorated yet uncluttered. It would be impossible to find a more private, peaceful, and beautiful location. To others visiting, I would not recommend trying to arrive for the first time in the dark, as our plans made it necessary for us to do. That part was a bit difficult due to the remoteness (and yet the beauty and remoteness is why we chose it in the first place, so there is no solution I can think of - can’t have it both ways!). Just do your best to arrive during the daylight so as to fully enjoy the 2+ miles of beautiful scenery once you leave the paved road. It’s breathtaking! Grey and Cindy were so very friendly, responsive, and helpful. Lovely people and lovely accommodations. We hope to return sometime soon!

Loren's Mountain Top Cabin has the most amazing views! You can see for miles and miles and MILES!!! We truly can't say enough about the view 🏔 The trails behind the cabin went into a beautiful forest full of wildflowers and wonderful old trees that we walked and just enjoyed nature all around us 🌼🌻🌿 I prefer a softer bed and felt the bed was too hard but that's just me. We piled on the extra blankets available and made it work! The only downside we could find that's not REALLY a downside is that the driveway is SO STEEEEP that when we got up there, we didn't go back down to explore the area until we checked out! READ the description about what vehicles are needed for the driveway! BUT honestly with the view of all the beautiful mountains and piles of boulders in the yard for a back ground for amazing pics, you couldn't find a better scenic lookout, even along the Blue Ridge Highway🏔 We hope this beautiful Mountain Top Cabin will be enjoyed for decades and decades to come!

This is a quaint converted farm house; from early century I'm guessing. The decor is nostalgic and the building is authentic. If you're looking to get away to a quiet area with all the little necessities of travel, this is a great place. You're only a few miles off the highway and there are no commercial enterprises nearby. It's very quiet and peaceful. It is adjacent to an old run down school house so the back view is not great but the spaciousness and grounds are very accommodating. The rooms and kitchen were all very well equipped and they provided the biggest basket I've ever seen of "things you may have forgotten" for travelers to use as needed.
