Our idyllic cottage from 1730 is located in the middle of the old village center of Wilkenburg (Hemmingen), surrounded by a nature reserve. A breathtaking swimming lake (100 m) and many paths into nature are just a stone's throw away. The city center of Hanover, the Maschsee and the Hanover trade fair can be reached in a 5-10 minute drive. Hanover main station: 8.5 km, airport: 30 km Trade fair: 5.5 km A small country bakery and a private horse farm are just around the corner.

Despite the good accessibility of the exhibition grounds and the centre in Hanover, our property also offers you the necessary peace and quiet.

In the middle of the Schaumburger Land, the house is an ideal starting point for hiking, mountain biking or even just to rest. Quiet and village but still centrally located, not far from Hanover or Hameln. In summer and winter, the Schaumburg Land invites you to long hikes by foot or by bike. Relax on the terrace overlooking the natural garden or explore the surroundings by bike and on foot. At Steinhuder Meer you will find many leisure activities, restaurants and cultural offerings. Poggenhagen has an S-Bahn connection that makes it possible to get to the beautiful state capital of Hanover by public transport (30 min. travel time).

Welcome to Werder, a small village 5 km from Bockenem and the A7 with connection to the A39. Hanover, Braunschweig and Goslar can be reached in about 30 minutes. Shopping and restaurants are in and around Bockenem. The Harz and the Weserbergland invite you to hike and cycle. Motorcyclists will also get their money's worth here. We ourselves ride motorcycles and are happy to assist you with tour questions.
