Holiday rentals in Ghent

Lisa is a very friendly host and provided me with all the necessary information. The room is huge and very clean, with a very comfortable double bed and cozy furnishings. I felt at home. The house in general is located in a particularly quiet and peaceful area of Gent. The city center is easily reached on foot in a few minutes. I was very satisfied with everything and I will definitely be back.

The location was exceptional. A 9-minute walk into the heart of Ghent. And then you’re at the magnificent castle. It’s away from the bustle and especially the tourists (forgive me) who have a couple other squares where they congregate, but close enough to get to absolutely everything including two chocolatiers about 3 mins away! ( Very important if you’re in Belgium IMHO) I was greeted by Thierry’s son who then took me on a tour of the whole town. Wow! (And he’d just flown in from China earlier that day.) Real generosity of spirit. Bed and shower great and not just clean but super duper clean. The space is absolutely gorgeous and also well laid out. Some fun surprises, too. A pool table in the other “wing.” Loved my time there.

We loved staying at this place in Ghent! Easy to find, and a great home base to use while wandering the city- city center is just a short walk away. Ellen was incredibly responsive and super flexible with our check-in and also send us great recommendations. Would absolutely recommend!

Very nice large apartment. We stayed a weekend in Jilles' apartment and found this a very nice place in a very good central location! Everything is around the corner, brunch in the morning at Et Alors (reservations recommended, also really great!)Furthermore, the space was very nicely decorated and clean, spacious bathroom and large living room. Because you are in the middle of the city, earplugs are useful, but not too much noise that it disturbs you very much. Furthermore, a nice outdoor terrace where we had a drink. The only thing we can think of is an extra large mirror with two women, but that is more of a tip, otherwise everything really great and definitely recommended!!

Good value for money in my case. Great location, the apartment looks like in the photos. Didn’t reach out to the host but the instructions were enough. The area is amazing. Whatever people already mentioned here is still true. Some pipe is popping out of the floor weirdly covered by a carpet , you have to wrestle with the key a bit in the front door. The recycle trash wasn’t empty and there was no trash bag in the other container which is annoying. There was kitchen towel but no kitchen mops or paper which means you can’t really clean after yourself (would have been annoying had I stayed longer). BUT i didn’t mind and I had a good experience. All things considered i stand by the 5 stars because the pricing was appropriate and the apartment is super nice.

We had a wonderful time in Ghent. Flore's beautiful penthouse apartment is very centrally located between the train station, old town and student district. Perfect for a extended weekend!

Karel's home is a beautiful space, with a calm vibe, & very clean. T3 Tram goes to city center & main train station (you can also walk & it'd take about 30 mins to reach the key city center locations). On the ground floor is an entry space, a toilet, & kitchen/living areas, which are shared use. You reach the first floor via traditional stairs, which are relatively steep/narrow. On that floor is the toilet for Airbnb-er to use, which is shared use. You then reach the second floor via another set of stairs: these are ladder-style stairs. The loft/attic bedroom has a big bed, desk, mini-fridge, and shower/sink areas (note that there is no toilet on the second floor with the bedroom). The bedroom is set up extremely well: skylights can be covered with one button for a great night's sleep, well-lit, plugs & cords, a quiet wall/mini-split AC, & spacious. It's clear that this space has been organized fully; I had a very comfortable stay & I'm very grateful for Karel's & Xavier's hospitality.

It’s a great find when I looked for one-month home in Belgium. Use Bart’s place to explore Ghent, Brussels, Bruges/Oostende,Antwerp , even Lille/France…. Bart and Elvira are so attentive and always try to make sure our stays are comfortable. A well-equipped kitchen and a nice living room which really makes us feel like home. If you’re coming to Belgium, Bart’s attic is your best choice.
