Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Balestrand Municipality

Incredible spot by the river outside of voss. Tranquil and quiet with a private river feel. Getting to the cabin after the main road is a little… interesting. Good to slow and take it easy, wish we had better weather to enjoy the river more!

we hebben villa tippetue vlot gevonden, heel mooi gelegen met zicht op het Sognefjord. we moesten inderdaad eerst door een stukje bos van ongeveer 70m. helaas niet veel geluk met het weer, we hebben elke dag wel een beetje zon gezien. het huisje heeft een heel mooi terras met zicht op het fjord en een gezellige woonkamer. er waren kaarten aanwezig voor wandelingen in de buurt , ook gedetailleerde geplastificeerde kaarten . helaas was het heel lokaal deel niet aanwezig, waarschijnlijk per ongeluk meegenomen door een vorige bezoeker. we hebben de noorse kaarten app gedownload Norgeskart. de wandeling stupet naveset tronvik - op de flank daar - is ook goed aangegeven . er is een laddertje en een gedeelte waar touwen de afdaling assisteren (onze hond kon vlot zijn eigen weg errond zoeken). de ondergrond was nog goed nat en soms glad (begin juni) in hoyanger ook mooi wandelen. naar flam is het een dikke 3h rijden. aan te raden!

Een wat afgelegen huis van 150 jaar oud. En dat heeft vooral z'n charmes!! Inger is een aardige gastvrouw. Hoewel je misschien de inrichting iets beperkt vind of gedateerd het voldoet prima. Wij hebben het er goed gehad. Laat je vooral verassen door authenticiteit en de rustige plek.

Maison de campagne d’époque très propre à l’intérieur et bien équipée. Le site est bien et très charmant avec une vue sur les montagnes enneigées et le bruit de l’eau qui s’écoule en cascade. Jannicke est une hôte très accueillante et toujours disponible. Elle est généreuse, elle partage ses connaissances et ses œufs qui sont délicieux. Nous avons aussi fait la connaissance de son père. Ce dernier est aussi très accueillant et a plein d’histoires intéressantes à raconter. Merci Jannicke d’avoir agrémenté notre séjour.

We had a fantastic stay at Lars' house! The views from the modern jacuzzi were absolutely stunning—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The house itself is spacious and beautifully designed, with a large, well-equipped kitchen that made cooking a pleasure. We especially appreciated the use of the nearby boat for a bit of adventure on the water, and the charming hiking cabin up on the mountain was a cosy retreat to warm up in if needed. Don’t miss the nearby Likholefossen waterfall—it's definitely worth a visit! Lars was a friendly and generous host who made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended!

Vi var en familie på 6 som leide dette stedet. Det første som slo oss var beliggenheten. Fantastisk beliggenhet og magisk utsikt. Vi nøt dette stedet til det fulle. Nå var vi også veldig heldig med været. Badet fra bryggen og nøt god mat og drikke til godt utpå kvelden. Vi kunne ikke fått en bedre opplevelse 😀 Selve huset var rent og pent med alle fasilitetene vi hadde behov for. Toppkarakter fra oss😀

Wow! What an amazing place! It is like staying at a friends home - super comfortable, homey, and relaxing. The "sun room" was enchanting and we sat there for fours enjoying the different moods of the fjord. The location was beyond anything I can describe - it was so quiet! Lindy was very responsive and quick. There was nothing that could not have asked for!

I would stay here over and over. It was peaceful, it was beautiful, it felt like a perfect relaxing getaway. If you wanted to get out you have a glacier a stones throw away that was one of the coolest things I’ve seen. Bring food, there is a great kitchen and not a lot of options for dining out. Take a walk and if you are lucky you will see horses and sheep. Heaven.

WOW WOW WOW. I can't even believe we got to stay here. What a privilege! It looks even better than the pictures. The view is unbeatable. Marit was kind and warm, available but not overbearing. I mentioned we were doing the sauna in Aurland (recommend!! Aurland, not Flåm!) and she left towels out for us. messaged to ask how the trip was going and if we needed a shoe dryer. This Airbnb is everything an Airbnb should be and more, Marit is everything an Airbnb host should be and more! Thank you, Marit, for a fantastic stay. Tusen takk!!!

When we left Marit's home, we all felt a little emotional. The trip had been such a great time of rest and adventure, and the place felt like home. We ate breakfast and dinner at the home, which saved a lot of money, and we were also able to do laundry, which was incredibly helpful since we had packed very small bags. It would be impossible to describe how beautiful the home and surrounding countryside is - I live in a farming town in the mountains and it's hard to impress me with natural beauty, but Vik took our breath away. We listened to the bells of the sheep every morning and evening and hiked in the mountains above the rental. We watched local people play soccer and children go to school and boats come and go. We drove to Flam (beautiful, but Vik is 1000% more lovely), took a ferry to Balestrand (worth it), and fell in love with the drive over the tundra above Vik. Marit was a perfect, warm, kind, lovely host and we can't recommend the rental enough. We miss it already.

Wir haben eine Nacht bei Viktorija in der Unterkunft verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden. Wie hatte. Sehr viel Glück mit dem Wetter und konnten den wunderschönen Ort bei ein paar Sonnenstrahlen genießen. Der Ausblick ist wirklich traumhaft. Viktorija ist eine sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Einziger kleiner aber nicht dramatischer Minuspunkt ist, dass die Wohnung für den Preis wirklich sehr klein ist und man keinen Kleiderschrank hat. Für eine Nacht reicht es aber aus.

This is a beautiful place. The photo of the view posted on the site does not do it justice. The entire Flam view is right in front of you with the mountains, the sea, and we were lucky with a rainbow! The view changes with the sun, rain and morning and night time so it never gets old. Huge windows to sit in front of and a balcony to enjoy. There is one toilet but the shower/washer room also has a sink and divided as a separate room from the toilet so someone can shower while another one can use the toilet. We were a family of 4, with 2 teenagers so our kids had their own rooms - benefit of a 3 bedroom place. The house is up on a hill - we climbed up the road with roller suitcases without any problems. Every day we came back down for activities and restaurants and then climbed up! It took 5 min! The house is conveniently located to all the restaurants and activities. 5-10 min to floating sauna, bike rentals, kayaking, all transportation, fjord cruises, train, buses, etc.

We had an Wonderful stay at Torill's place! If you have a car, it's a perfect location--beautiful view and peaceful area away from the tourist crowds in Flam, but close enough to get to the activities very easily... The unit is plenty large with tons of nice touches from Torill to make us feel right at home, and she was very informative, helpful, and thoughtful... We had a very nice meal at the hotel just a short walk up the street (somewhat expensive), and the bakery in town is Awesome! The place is clean, the bed very comfortable, and great water pressure in the shower, which was easy to regulate (although the shower enclosure ties for the smallest we've ever experienced)... Highly recommend booking here if wanting to visit this spectacular area!

We absolutely loved our stay at Anna’s place. The Airbnb was spotless and the kitchen had every utensil you could need. The beds were so comfortable too! The views right outside the Airbnb were breathtaking. The Airbnb is a short distance to downtown Flåm - perfect location for anyone trying to explore this area. Finally, Anna’s hospitality was top notch - we felt right at home the moment we arrived! Thank you Anna for being such a spectacular host! I give this Airbnb and Anna my highest recommendation.

This was one of the nicest Airbnbs in my years of traveling to Norway. Would definitely come again. The amenities are in great condition. Apartment is clean and comfortable. A cozy place to spend time in a beautiful location.

This place was perfect for our needs. Group of six. Came in for one night. Able to make a great dinner the kitchen. Great nights sleep. Easy access to the via feratta. Would stay agin! Great place.

Our thanks to Rune for a very comfortable stay - sadly just an overnight stop but it would be a great place to base yourself if you were to explore the area.

Schön gelegen, mit Blick übers Tal. Ca 3 km von Førde mit guten Supermärkten. 10 km zum Huldefossen Wasserfall. Auf einer kleinen Farm. Sehr ruhig. Angenehme Wohnung mit Wohnzimmer, kleinem Schlafzimmer und kleiner, aber komplett ausgestatteter Küche incl. Mikrowelle. Viel genutzt haben wir die überdachte Terrasse mit Nachmittagssonne. Sehr freundliche Vermieter. Sehr empfehlenswert !

Alles gut, die Unterkunft sah aus wie auf den Bildern und entsprach der Beschreibung. Der Kontakt mit Trude war angenehm und unkompliziert. ☺️ Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt!
