Eltz and Pyrmont Castles are each about 4-5 km away. On the nearby Moselle, there are quaint wine bars and high-class wineries. In the immediate vicinity of our accommodation, several scenic hiking trails, the Traumpfade, start. There are many leisure activities in the enchanting Maifeld.

Centrally located in the quiet district of Mayen, the cottage invites you to relax, hike and enjoy. Couples, business travelers as well as families, are in good hands. Wonderful hiking and biking trails (bicycle shelter available) are within walking distance, shopping and restaurants in 2 km, as well as the Tollipark for children. The legendary Nürburgring is 30 minutes away. In summer, the Burgfestspiele greet the Lukasmarkt in the fall.

Baustert vacation home

Lovingly restored, listed residential building the Thome House, formerly Jenn House, named after the builder Jean Thome from 1827. During the 2019-2020 expansion, a lot of emphasis was placed on ecological materials. Clay plaster, clay paints, natural wood paneling, natural stone and wood floors. Many historical details, such as sandstones and old wooden beams, are still preserved and make the house a special gem.
