Cwt Glo eco cottage Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)/ Zip World

Cwt Glo is a cosy and peaceful cottage for two in Northern Snowdonia nestled between two mountain ranges the Carneddau and Glyderau. Cwt Glo is situated in a small village near Bethesda called Mynydd Llandygai. There is private off road parking next to the cottage. Cwt Glo is Welsh for Coal house and the cottage was the place where the coal was weighed and measured. The property has been both a farm and coal yard for the local area. Cwt Glo is a semi sustainable/off grid cottage it has a solar and wind system however there is the backup of mains electricity. There is also an LPG central heating and hot water system. The cottage has a wood burning stove to keep you cosy and warm in the evening after a busy day exploring the local area. We also provide the wood for your stay.

Cycle to Zipworld and beyond

This traditional quarrymans cottage is full of character, with lots of quirky features, well situated to make the most of what Snowdonia has to offer, 10 minutes stroll along Lon Las Ogwen cycle path to Zip World, Europes longest zipwire. Private sunny garden with table and chairs for alfresco dining. 10 minute woodland walk through to Bethesda High St with Tesco Express, Londis and a range of takeaways and pubs and amenities. A stone building now renovated and equipped to provide comfortable accommodation for two people. Bunk beds - linen - en-suite -towels -TV - Tea & Coffee. A fridge is available in a nearby outhouse. Well placed to discover Snowdonia, nearby hills, mountains, cycle paths, walks and climbs, and also ZipWorld Velocity 2 which is only a short walk away.

The cottage has been completely renovated and also features a beautiful sunny garden and patio with plenty of space to sit and relax outside. Bethesda village centre is within walking distance and has a Tesco supermarket (open 7 days a week until late), pubs and a good choice of takeaways.

It contains a small kitchen with all basic utensils, pots, pans, kettle, toaster and electric hobs. We also supply tea, coffee and fresh milk + towels. It is a stones throw away from the famous 'Zipworld' (15 min walk) as well as the Glyderau mountain range(10 / 25 min ), and a short drive from Snowdon (15 min). Perfect location to experience Snowdonia.
