House holiday rentals in Black Mountain

This was our fifth year staying at Elevacres. We have so enjoyed each visit. Kevin was, again, a great host. Thank you for everything. We will miss your home as our AVL rental, but can’t argue with you wanting that daily view back. Cheers!

Enjoyed our stay at this house just outside of Black Mountain for the weekend. In a quiet spot with amazing views from porch that is only a short drive from the town and other spots. The house itself was in pristine condition when we arrived and looked exactly like the photos. Would highly recommend for a mountain getaway!

Amanda was an amazing host! She was super helpful with sending recommendations before our trip, and was on top of responses while we were there. She was more than happy to accommodate our needs.

We had a wonderful time at Trace’s home. It was our annual family vacation. 11 of us from 3 months to 56. It was nice to have the pool for the kids and adults. We spent several days at the house. Loved the two living rooms. The kids had one and the adults had the other one. Plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped and so were all the other rooms. Everything on the pictures is what we saw at the home. We had one small request while we were there and Trace was on the spot quickly. Loved having the downstairs bedroom for the teenagers and the game room. Loved the location and the home. We would rent this home again for sure.

Our family had a great time at Daniel's place. So many fun things to do at the resort and the golf cart made it so convenient to get around. We booked last minute and Daniel got the cleaning crew over to prepare the home for us on short notice. The home is as described and the view is just beautiful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Very cozy and comfortable home. Black Mountain is a charming small town with great shops and restaurants. Highly recommended. Did not really interact with Evolve beyond the welcome email. I did communicate with the owner a few times who was great. Very friendly and helpful.

Clean and comfortable, plenty of space for our group of 16. Pool and hot tub were a hit! Had an issue with the a/c on first day but hosts were quick to get it fixed. One bedroom (twin w/trundle) is off the master - worked for us but maybe not for a different group. Would recommend this place to others.

Needed a place for 10 days as a contractor working hurricane damage in Black Mountain area. Everything in house was as advertised and Bob let us check in early which was appreciated. As we worked long days, the home was comfortable to rest in the evenings!

Property was lovely and well equipped. It was very clean and check in was nice and easy. Kay was very helpful and recommended us with a crazy golf course. Area was safe, but close enough to other amenities. Particularly recommend Black Mountain, and Billy Graham's training centre.

The home was lovely, comfortable, and well-appointed - perfect for our girls’ weekend! Jessica communicated well throughout the process. I wish there had been a better spot for four people to share a meal together, but that was the only thing missing. We would definitely return.

This is, by far, our favorite place to stay when we visit the Black Mountain area. The house is within walking distance of downtown, the kitchen is always stocked, and the upstairs screened porch is the greatest gathering space, even on chilly nights. The hosts are easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Black Mountain is one of our absolute favorite places to visit. We had a quick weekend there to look at property in Asheville so we were gone all day. Comfortable and super cute. In a great quiet neighborhood.

This place was perfect! We felt so comfortable and relaxed. It smelled good, looked good and was really clean! The hot tub was easy to use and we took advantage each night the weather allowed. We didn’t want to leave and will absolutely stay again! Graham was very responsive and helpful. We had not a single thing we didn’t like or wished was different. If I could give it 100 stars I would. Oh yes, easy storage to unpack and “live” here for a week!

The Rosa Villa was perfect for our 3 day get away! This home was beautiful & had EVERY necessity you can imagine from lotions, to weighted blankets to nicely stocked mini kitchenette! Close to downtown & the Biltmore at the end of the road! Hosts we there with anything we needed. When we come back in the fall will definitely book this home again!

Wow this place was amazing. Definitely going to be back! Honestly everything inside the house was SO WELL thought out. Instructions everywhere for everything. Mosquito netting - what a blessing in NC spring/summer. Claw foot tub?? Great way to start my day - a bubble bath surrounded by beautiful nature. "10 min to downtown" was SPOT ON. I visited a couple favourite spots and left my dog at the house uncrated without worrying about him getting too bored in the amount of time I'd be out (he is the bestest boy though, so ymmv) My dog loved the yard! He got a bit confused by the netting on the porch, and that was hilarious to watch. We were close enough to houses to feel like there would be help if anything happened, but the way it's situated, you feel like you're in your own private little world. It was stunning and felt very safe in this space 🖤

We had a great week at Bearside Retreat. The house was super clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved the wooded property and large upper deck. We were secluded yet within walking distance to Cheshire Village and an easy drive into town to the grocery store and breweries. Highly recommend!

What a great place! I thought it was spacious, clean and perfect for our needs (performing at a Black Mountain College Museum event). I mean, there is a hot tub! Perfect! Nathan is super communicative and even sent me my forgotten raincoat. Thank you! Would absolutely book again!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was the perfect size for two parents and two young kids. Everything was clean and tidy when we checked in, and we felt comfortable and safe during our stay. As coffee lovers, we greatly enjoyed the bag of locally roasted coffee that Elaine left. As far as location goes, we loved that the cottage is so close to Montreat, as well as downtown Black Mountain. Highly recommend eating at The Grange, Thai Basil and Trailhead while you’re in town!

This spot had maybe the most character out of any place we've stayed before. We'd absolutely plan to stay here again when we make it back in the future.

We had an excellent weekend staying here! The views cannot be beat and the home itself was beautiful. Close enough to town to do exploring and close enough to mountains to do hikes! We really enjoyed the views from Lookout Trail out by Montreat. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a private environment with beautiful views! Thanks for a great stay.

Karen’s home was an ideal place for our stay in Black Mountain. Communication was seamless—Whitney, the co-host, responded promptly to all our messages. The house is wonderfully dog-friendly and just a short walk from the greenway, which was perfect for quick strolls with our pups. We also loved being able to walk into downtown Black Mountain—less than a mile away—to enjoy the great selection of restaurants and shops. The internet connection was strong, and having cable TV was a nice bonus. This cozy two-bedroom home is definitely one I’ll keep in mind for future visits to the area.

Would stay here again in a heart beat. Very cool place. Gas fire 🔥 place was nice to warm up next to at night and on rainy days. Very close to shops of downtown Black Mountain. Walkable to shops and restaurants of Cheshire as well as neighboring park. Close to highway 🛣️ for easy access to Asheville or other hiking areas. They were accommodating and allowed us early check in to help us out.

Visiting my disabled brother with my 92 year old mother has its challenges, but staying here was just what we needed. Quiet, with everything we needed: took the worry and added stress away. My mother enjoyed making herself right at home and appreciated the art and little details. We will be back!
