We’ve just returned from a lovely stay at Joanne’s while visiting family. The property is very comfortable and we were made very welcome, including with a very generous hamper of local produce and fresh eggs. The house is set in a very peaceful and picturesque part of the Lancashire countryside.

First of all, what a friendly and accommodating guy Carl was! He allowed us to pick up keys early, so that we could get on and enjoy our day in Liverpool, whereas he easily could have said no. Plenty of free street parking nearby (if you can’t get the few outside the house) and a fairly peaceful little street in general. Stones throw from the train station made it ideal for us getting into the city. The house was lovely and pristine. Although the weather was against us, the outside private patio area would have been lovely to have enjoyed late into the evening. Thoroughly impressed and would certainly consider coming back the next time I’m this way. Thank you Car!

House as described and was clean. Location was good, easy to get into central Liverpool and there were a few nice bars and restaurants in walking distance. Overall a good house at a good price for the location.

Were visiting relatives so did not go into the city however there are plenty of buses available to do so. The derby arms was just around the corner for drinks and food and the Elephant Bakehouse a little further but our favourite.

Gemma the host was in contact before , during and after our stay and was happy to help if needed. The house its self was immaculate and almost showroom standard. Was in a nice quiet location , with great access to Liverpool where we were visiting . The house had everything you could need and a book of helpful tips. I would definitely recommend this for a group or family looking for some where to stay in St Helens.

We had a lovely stay at the Holt Bolt Hole. It is a gorgeous house (with everything you could possibly need), in a wonderful location. Shirley the host is very welcoming and responds quickly to any messages/concerns. Reasonably priced too, I highly recommend it! Thanks for the stay, we will be booking again. Faith.

Perfect venue to accommodate us whilst waiting for our house purchase to complete. Particularly liked self contained accommodation with own access door and all on the one level - no stairs. A real bonus was the weekly fresh bedding and towelling and general cleanup as we were here for 5 weeks. We had no issues during our stay but on the occasions that we saw Karen she always checked that everything was ok. Thank you Karen.

Excellent base for what we wanted. Lots of local eateries in walking distance, very quiet location as its away from the main road. The rooms are massive for a two bedroom flat. Really helpful instructions on how to get there and really well presented. I would highly recommend and will be staying again myself.

Fantastic place in a first class location with all amenities and services nearby. Wonderful sunset views from the balcony. Spacious accommodation with comfortable beds and all as described. Christine is a wonderful host offering us an day early check in which was an amazing gesture greatly appreciated. She also provided screens of helpful information and responded ar once to my - sometimes dopey - queries. Highly recommended. 12 out of 10 from us.

Was a lovely place to spend the weekend. No cleanliness issues. Lovely area right around the corner from a big Tesco. Would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is clean, tidy, well equipped and ideal for two people. On arrival, we were grateful to find the milk and water in the 'fridge and a written answer to a question we had asked relating to Anfield. Many thanks

We stayed in John’s apartment for 4 nights. The weather was perfect and we got to sit out and enjoy the beautiful garden. Everything was perfect and we really enjoyed coming back after a day visiting family to relax. The location is close to restaurant and bars across the park from the house. The kitchen is amazing and their living room area is stunning. Thank you John for a relaxing stay.

Great accommodation in a brilliant location, and fantastic hosts that were easy to communicate with. We had 11 people staying and there was easily enough room. I would certainly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in Liverpool.

Such a lovely place, had a nice girly weekend for my hen do with my bridesmaids and maid of honour and the hosts were really sweet. They were happy to co-ordinate with my maid of honour so the whole thing was a really nice surprise and it was overall really private and peaceful with such stunning views. Would highly recommend and think we will definitely be booking again 🤍

We stayed here for a weekend away as a group of school mates all turning 30. The property was the perfect base for us, providing us with the best possible experience. We’re an active, activity based bunch and this stay had something for everyone. Multiple activities, from the pool table, darts board, table tennis, air hockey, and yes the Pool and Sauna. Many of my friends couldn’t believe just what we had found for this stay. Private use of the pool is a great bonus. All beds were made, fresh linens and towels provided. We used the kitchen to cook our breakfast each morning. There’s ample parking for 3-4 vehicles inside and plenty on street right next to the property, which is a quiet street so not a stress. Whilst the decor is aged, we are not particular on this and found it added to the charm. Plenty of beds, bathrooms and spots to relax. We would stay again! The host was fantastic in communication and response to questions posed and made the whole process easy.

Great place to stay with beautiful views. Struggled getting the hot tub up to temperature that was the only issue encountered (very windy conditions)
