Sophie's accommodation was really nice, very beautiful setting and very quiet. Sophie was very friendly and accommodating and always very responsive. The accommodation is ideally located for visits to the various historical places and has the necessary amenities. We recommend it without hesitation!

On arrival we were greeted in a very friendly manner by Anne and Yannick. There were fresh flowers on the table and a range of local delicacies for us to sample. The home made mirabelle jam was very tasty. The main open plan kitchen / lounge of the gîte was spacious, airy and light. There was a huge array of local information pamphlets, and a wide range of interesting books and games. The bedrooms were spacious with good storage and a comfy bed. Portable fans were available. The en-suites and toilet were spotless. Outside, the terrace looked out onto the river Meuse with exceptional ever changing views. There was a large parasole which gave shade over the dining table for al fresco meals. The garden was well tended and a charcoal barbecue was provided. We found much to do in the area and the Verdun museum and Ossuary are well worth a visit. Easy access onto the canal towpath enabling bike rides into Verdun. Excellent boulangerie just 10 minutes walk from the gîte.
