Casa Castello - Lakefront Apartment

Recently renovated apartment in the historic center of Cannobio, situated along the lake-front of Lago Maggiore, just a few meters from the water. The apartment is distributed over three levels, and includes two independent bedrooms (one with a balcony of its own), two baths, dining room with kitchen and fireplace, and a double-height living room with rustic beams, an elegant corner fireplace, and a balcony overlooking the lake. The apartment is fully furnished, with usual kitchen accessories, dish-washer, clothes-washer, vacuum cleaner, and TV with DVD/CD player. Upon request, sheets and towels may be furnished for a modest charge. Within meters begins a choice between numerous restaurants, trattorie, wine bars, and ice-cream shops. There is a supermarket within five minutes walk, and a large street market every Sunday morning. Also within five minutes walk is the Embarcadero, where it is possible to take boat excursions to a variety of tourist attractions on Lago Maggiore, both in Italy and Switzerland. Cannobio’s nearby Lido offers sunbathing and swimming, with possibilities of various aquatic sports including courses for wind surf and sailing. Adjacent to the Lido are other non-aquatic sports opportunities such as tennis, volleyball, and rental of bicycles or scooters. 200 meters from the apartment begins the bicycle trail that follows the course of the river Canobino, up the valley to the Orrido di Sant’Anna. The mountains in the Cannobina Valley offer various possibilities for excursions, with a network of well-marked trails connecting rustic stone villages along the valley, and reaching Switzerland on the north and the Parco Nazionale della Valgrande on the south, which is a wilderness area with characteristic plants, animals, and historic memories. The apartment will provide basic information on Cannobio, the Canobina Valley, and its network of trails.

The lake house

Villa with direct access to Lake Orta. The villa is surrounded by a garden where you can spend a relaxing day on the shores of the most romantic of Italian lakes. Swimming lake with particularly clear waters. The water temperature is particularly mild and it is possible to swim from late May until early October. It is also ideal as a base for those wishing to visit the many tourist resorts in the area: Orta San Giulio, Lake Maggiore with Stresa and the Borromean Islands, Lake Mergozzo, the Ossola Valley, the Strona Valley, Valsesia and many others. The apartment is located in a dominant position on Lake Maggiore and the ancient village of Belgirate, located within a residence of only eight units, one of the few solutions with a swimming pool in the area (shared with a few and open from mid-June until the end of September). A few minutes' walk away, you'll find the lake and the village center, where you'll find all the main services: mini market, bars, restaurants, laundry, pharmacy, and tobacco shop. Parking is available inside the residence.
