House holiday rentals in Brixham

Absolutely lovely home , very responsive to messages, had an issue with the electrical gate it’s no one’s fault but they acted and responded so quickly. The only issue I had was with the pool not being open even though it’s listed in the title “ villa with pool “ and I searched air BnB using the great pool section . I was gutted because it did state in the more about section that the pool wasn’t open until may , I trusted that using the search with great pool would be enough but unfortunately It wasn’t, I did feel this was wrong listing a property with a pool and in the title but hiding the fact it wasn’t open in the click more section, this definitely needs changing.

Clean, cozy and well equipped (kitchen, etc). Peaceful location and the extra amenities were great! (Swimming pool, etc). We would stay again.

A fabulous property. Mandy and Lino were excellent hosts. Lots of room and everything was provided. The heritage railway running next to the property made it extra special and nostalgic. The pool was warm and the outsidde space very welcome. We took our two whippets who loved the garden and the walk down to Broadsands beach through the fields. The decor is beautiful and every bedroom is different. Mandys art work is amazing and really adds to the character of the property. Parking is off road down a short driveway. A quiet spot, no traffic noise, just birds and the occadional chuff of a steam engine. I have a feeling we'll be returning one day. In two words, fabulous, relaxing.

It was an amazing stay, the place is apart of a big holiday ket that has a restaurant and spa. It exceeded expectations! All the staff at cary arms were really great and approachable. People will need to realise in advance how steep the hill is to get to the holiday homes. I had difficulty driving my car back up so Chris and Harry from the cary arms helped me out with that and I tree really appreciated it.

Mewstone is an outstanding property and Maria is a top notch host. The property description tells it all accurately except it understates the beautiful views across Dartmouth from the upper windows and balcony (which is a real sun trap). Maria told us the property was being cleaned early and she kindly offered us access from 12 noon which was handy. Oh and it was very clean. All the furniture, fittings, appliances, beds etc are of high quality. We had been told in advance that the shared pool heater had broken down which was a shame and Maria was very apologetic and keen to make amends. She is a very friendly and responsive host who genuinely wants her guests to enjoy their time at Mewstone. 2 minutes walk to the market square and shops and restaurants, another couple to the riverside. With the bonus of two parking spaces given the central location. As a couple with three young adults we loved Mewstone and are already talking about returning.

Great home with outstanding facilities and location. Pool is a highlight, and hot tub right next to it which is great for when the kids get chilly! Fantastic playroom for them too. Boiling water tap for grown ups teas and coffee with good indoor and outdoor seating areas. Fun for all the family!

A great house for a family birthday celebration . The open plan living area with huge windows was perfect . Quite a hill to walk up from town but that is true of most houses in Salcombe!! We had a wonderful few days there over New Year

We had a fantastic stay at Selina an her families beautiful Airbnb. Hosts were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The property is stunning, beautiful location. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending. Fantastic!

Superbly appointed AirBnb - from the chocolates to the tea. bags and the milk in the fridge to the thoughtful and carefully appointed facilities this was top notch. Bed was comfortable and our dog made very welcome. The furniture and ambiance is simple and comfortable. It's a little bit of a walk up the hill, but that walk takes you past a supermarket which was really useful. We visited for the Pirate Festival and the fact the wardrobe had lots of hangers in it was rather helpful. 15-20 Mins walk down to the centre of town ( thats taking it at a very gentle pace) and maybe 25 mins back up ( we do not walk so quickly nowadays!) The coastal path which is not far away is a delight and a wonderful calm escape after the Pirate Festival. Recommended.

We had the most amazing week with our 4 boys at The Old Guard in May. We have been renting various properties in Hope Cove for many years. Wendy's property is now our absolute favourite!! Not only did we have fabulous weather but the location is just perfect for getting out on the kayaks etc The warm outdoor shower is brilliant for when you get back! The balcony is very large and a great space! The views from the balcony are spectacular and the sunsets incredible. The kitchen had everything you need. They utility area with washer and dryer is very useful staying with a family. The property was really well designed & clean and comfortable to stay in. Wendy had said the parking would be tight, but we got our 2 vehicles in no problem just a bit of time to go back and forth and one is a long wheelbase Mercedes Vito! We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back again! Thank you Wendy for all your messages and prompt replies when we had any questions.

Luke is a fabulous host! Not only is the cottage idyllic, peaceful and charming, but Luke left us some goodies for our arrival. These included a bottle of fizz, some delicious bread and eggs from the chickens he keeps on his small holding. There was loads of good recommendations for walks and activities within the cottage and Luke trod a wonderful balance between giving us our space and being there to offer advice and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the countryside!

Our stay at Louise’s property was really lovely, what an amazing property & beautiful location. Would definitely recommend.

The house was in a great location for seeing the local area and the wider Torbay area, we used the buses, steam train and ferries and never moved the car once. It was a spacious, clean and wonderful house and we would thoroughly recommend.

Great place with beautiful views. It has a peaceful, lovely feel to the house. The beds were comfy and the kitchen well equipped with everything we needed to cook. The cottage is in a little commune with some other cottages and there’s a great vibe to the whole place. Katie was super helpful and responsive whenever we needed anything. Perfect place for a rural Devon getaway.

I can’t recommend The Dragon’s Nest highly enough!! Stunning! An absolutely incredible home on 4 storeys, in the centre of Brixham, with glorious views of the Harbour. We stayed as a family of 8 adults for my Birthday. (My husband & I, our 3 grown-up children, & their partners.) We all had plenty of room! Even smallest double, (a beautiful cabin bed), was great! We loved the quirkiness of the place. So many interesting things to look at - Inside & out. Plus impressive tiered garden! Each eve we cooked a themed 3-course meal. Plenty of utensils, pots & pans, dishes, cutlery etc, for us all! The massive hob and ovens were perfect! The beautiful dining table extended, plus extra chairs. We enjoyed the Pac Man arcade games table too! The gorgeous upstairs lounge, had enough seating for all as well. The 4 toilets & various shower rooms, plus fabulous bath were ideal for a big family. We really had The Best Time! Thank you Lynn & Nick (& Sue) for everything! And communication was superb!

We really enjoyed our stay . the apartment was really lovely. The beds were very comfortable .It had amazing views of Torquay with lots to do . will definitely stay again in the future .

Just got back from a lovely few days break in this beautiful cottage. James is a very welcoming and friendly host and along with the information book in the cottage we had everything we needed to know. The cottage was just perfect and the outside and surrounding garden is like a scene from a fairytale. If you’re looking for peace and relaxation , then this is definitely the place. Inside the cottage , there are lots of beautiful original features alongside more modern amenities. Everything that you could possibly need to make your stay more comfortable has been carefully thought about by the hosts. It’s in a great location to get to places like Torquay, Dartmouth and Brixham. All in all a fabulous place to stay for some much needed R&R.

Really loved our stay in the cottage. It's beautiful, comfortable and clean. Had everything required. Caron has great communication and told me everything I needed regarding location, parking and access. And on hand to answer a few smaller questions to! Loved the stay and very much recommend!

The pictures don't do justice to the property. Is better than it looks. Spacious rooms, confy beds , cosy furniture, friendly host ...all reviews are spot-on . Is not possible to give more than 5 stars ✨️. There is remote controlled canopy which we used it (was warm but raining for 30 min )and enjoyed the whole afternoon without issues and I am underlining that because U can see it in the picture but there is a table with umbrella and won't pay attention to the rest(when got there found upgraded table ,bigger, square with gravity chairs) No words...we felt straight away like home. Thank you Stephen.

This was our second time staying so felt home from home. Beautiful, clean and peaceful cottage in a great location! Loved it and will be back.

Just had one of the most brilliant stays at "Little Spindles". A fantastic eco-built property situated down a quite lane with everything needed for a peaceful, relaxing time away. Inside, the property is just amazing; so clean and tidy, with top quality fixture and fittings and tastefully decorated. The garden area is mainly laid to lawn and is large and private, thanks to surrounding trees and shrubs. There's a little stream at the bottom of the garden and we were fortunate enough to see a kingfisher during our stay! It's close to the centre of Ashburton (lovely little place!) and ideally positioned for a wide variety of sightseeing and walking trips. Poppy is a great host and is always on hand to offer help when needed. We look forward to a return visit!

Beautiful, traditional yet updated cottage with plenty of walking routes, quaint little spaces to explore, enjoy and relax. Shrimp cottage was a stunning little place for me and my partner to share and enjoy our first days of married life. the area is home from home to me and a firm chosen location to spend time relaxing whilst enjoying the picturesque surroundings. Shrimp cottage was welcoming, comfortable and a beautiful little place for a quiet period away from the norm. If you're up for walking there's some great paths and routes to take but be mindful if you're not ok with the stairs, beautifully maintained but definitely some awkward stairs where traditional characters sit. Not ideal for those who can't do well with more than a stair or two but perfect for us! We will be keeping this in mind for our next adventures on this part of the coastline.
