Beautiful, quiet, peaceful getaway spot! Donna and her crew are incredibly hospitable. We had a wonderful time during our stay! Absolutely recommend! Please take the time to look at the binder filled with pictures from when the cabins were built and post cards from early 1900s.. so cool!

Serene, scenic, and so comfortable! We loved our stay at Trout Creek Cabin, and hope to stay again sometime. On this trip, we managed to dodge some rain for a bike trip in Lanesboro one day, and a hike up to the lookout another day. Otherwise, we indulged in the view, took naps, read books, played games, had long meaningful chats, and realized in the hot tub. We couldn't dictate the weather, but we could not have asked for a better stay. Thank you!

Our stay at Justin Trails Resort was beyond our expectations! We stayed in Little House on the Prairie after we got married in Sparta as a little getaway. Their property is absolutely gorgeous with an abundance of hiking trails and even disc golf. They had llamas, Rusty and Dusty, that were so fun to watch and feed them! Donna had breakfast prepared every morning with all fresh or homemade foods! It was excellent. We were lucky enough to bring our St. Bernard puppy along and she had so much fun hiking and playing with Donna’s dog, Heidi, in their dog play area. They were so accommodating to everything we needed. We couldn’t say enough great things about our stay here. It’s outstanding!

Great place felt right at home and fully stocked kitchen and linens and blankets and towels for our group! Little slice of heaven to relax and rest and enjoy our weekend.

Excellent responsive host! Beautiful, private cabin with a phenomenal view of the Mississippi River valley. Inside there is a Lovely, enchanting & comfortable cabin atmosphere. Great fireplace! Good hot tub. Nice kitchen with everything you need. Except they need to upgrade the skillets & pots, which are very old. We left a note communicating this point. If you like pure privacy....this is the place! Transporting heavy luggage to and from the cabin can be a challenge. A long descending sidewalk can be difficult, especially for older guests. Young & strong....no problem. Overall we really enjoyed our visit. This cabin is a Gem!! We will consider a return trip.

I stayed here with 4 college friends and we had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed to cook meals and relax. The hot tub and fire pit were fun extras. The hallway bunk beds are reasonable for shorter/smaller adults and were actually quite comfortable. The location is absolutely quiet and private with a great view over the river bottoms. Highly recommend the Stockholm Pie Company, Villa Belleza Winery, and the Stone Barn pizza in the local area!

This was our second year renting from Curtis, and once again, we had a fantastic experience! The home was the perfect location for our two families to meet and spend the weekend together. The space is well-designed and conducive to everyone feeling comfortable and connected. Curtis has made some really nice upgrades to the rental, making it feel even more welcoming. Communication was clear and quick throughout our stay, and he was very flexible, which we truly appreciated. Overall, this home has been a great fit for our group two years in a row, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Cute little Cabin. Perfect little getaway out in the woods.

Enjoyed our stay. We visited quite a few Amish businesses and their produce auction. The beds were comfortable and the birds were amazing. Loved sitting on the porch in the morning listening to the birds. Also had a doe and fawn come walking right by. We had almost perfect weather so were able to have the windows open. Nice hot shower and plenty of space. I preferred the outhouse over the incinerator toilet but that was just my preference. We did have rain one morning and couldn't cook outside. A hot plate or electric griddle would be a great addition. Other than that the stay was great. We would definitely stay again. Check in was easy and a nice note with local suggestions was so nice. We did travel to Fennimore and I would recommend the train museum if you are looking for things to do.

Roland was extremely kind and easy to talk to. He gave us recommendations for food and activities in the area. He was very respectful of or privacy and gave notice any time he had to do yard work. The honesty Bar(n) was an awesome space to hang out in. We LOVED the cats that hung around also.

We just needed a place for the night and found a real gem! Greg’s place is adorable! And it was spotless, both inside and out, which is no easy task ten minutes after all the snow melts!! Beds were comfortable. Shower was hot. Everything we needed was there. We felt right at home and fell just a little more in love with the area. We will be back!!!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was cute, cozy, and incredibly relaxing, exactly what we needed for a peaceful getaway. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. We’d definitely come back!

Large, spacious property that can accommodate big groups with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms and a functional kitchen. Highly oriented to the hunting community and had the appropriate decor to match. Quick trips into Mondovi and a manageable distance from Eau Claire. Overall, the property well fit our needs to have a convenient location for our group of 10 attending a country wedding.

Second visit, & just as wonderful as my original visit. Cabin was clean & free of clutter. Quiet & safe neighborhood. Can’t wait to come back again next year!

We absolutely loved This place. The Cabin was perfectly rustic while well appointed with everything we needed. The surroundings are beautiful wooded ridges and hilly farm fields. My daughter loved the small pond to practice her paddling with me. My wife loved the loft bedroom that allowed her to escape my snoring. And we all loved the ever present birds, (Eagles, hummingbirds, orioles and goldfinches to name a few standouts) We will be sfaying here for sure when we visit our family in the area again. It was PERFECT!

Cozy and clean cabin, great for a family stay. We only spent one night but would be a great spot for campfires, grill outs, or walks to nearby winery and shops! Would recommend staying here!

Beautiful home overlooking gorgeous view of river!

The dock is awesome, definitely go up the street and grab suckers from the bait shop. Perfect house if you’re planning on spending time on the water. Huge dock and sandy beach definitely recommend if your outdoorsy.

Was a great place to stay had a lot of fun. Would Return. Chris did a great job of taking care of us when the beds weren’t made and making it right. Very good communicator. Would definitely recommend his place!!!

Awesome property and cabin, exceeded all expectations, the host was easy to reach and very friendly.
