Judith was great, as I had not read that the oven was a small box type. I brought a massive lasagne and I think it was slightly beyond the oven’s capability. After 40 mins when it was still not cooked through, I messaged Judith and she put it in her oven. She knocked later with my steaming hot perfectly cooked lasagne and a smile on her face. She was very helpful.

Fab stay at the cottage , great location to use as a base for visits/hiking throughout the marches / mid Wales and Prestigne is a lovely small town to grab a coffee or have diner.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Fforge! Beautiful, quirky interior, high-pressure waterfall shower and excellent location. The homemade granola and brownies were a lovely touch as were the other goodies. Mel was very helpful and friendly. We would recommend this place to anybody looking to explore the Welsh countryside or even as just a quiet hideaway. You are left well alone and made to feel at home. Thank you for having us.

Rita & David’s place was the perfect getaway my partner and I were looking for. It has the right amenities for a comfortable stay. Everything was spotless. We were looking to be off our phones and this worked out great with the weather. We were able to sit at the beautiful garden next to the little creek, we extended our our picnic blanket and relaxed. The beds are comfy, the black out curtains are great for the early dawns at this time of year. We’re already looking at our calendar to figure out our next stay at the hut, thanks Rita and David for sharing this slice of heaven!
