Charming 1940s farmhouse. Updated 1 1/2 story house in a rural setting overlooking the Mighty Mississippi River, but close to the heart of Cape Girardeau. This place was way more than enough space for three of us, in fact at the price point it’s a great deal for the size. There is a beautiful waterfall right by the entryway, I kept my bedroom window open all night so I could hear it. Everything was really clean and we were able to use the kitchen to cook breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. They have some older TVs that are CRT based, so if you have an old NES with Duck Hunt bring it!!! Duck Hunt won’t work on new HDTVs. We were on motorcycles so we parked out front. The back parking lot is gravel and there’s a little bit of a rough entryway if you’re on bikes. Laundry room is big and works great. I wish we had more time to spend around the area. It was nice and quiet and very clean.

We enjoyed staying in Mary Ann's home that once belong to her grandparents. Everything was right where we needed it to be. We were on a bicycle tour in Carterville and took advantage of having a nap on the screened in front porch wicker furniture. We were able to cook most of our meals and do laundry before we left for the next location. We would stay there again if we are in the area. Thanks.
