Green Plains Cabin

Located on 66 acres of rolling farmland and wooded countryside, this restored, 19th century log cabin is rustic but not the least bit primitive. A massive stone fireplace makes relaxing in the winter cozy. Enjoy your morning coffee along with a beautiful view of Ohio farmland from the screened-in porch. Jump into the outdoor shower or hot tub after a day of hiking or shopping in nearby Yellow Springs. Centrally located, the Cabin is just 20 minutes from Dayton and 50 minutes from Columbus.

The Buck Creek School House

Welcome to the Buck Creek School House—an original 1850s one-room schoolhouse just south of Urbana. Set on a peaceful acre surrounded by farmland, this cozy studio features 13-ft ceilings, 7-ft windows, and a newly remodeled kitchen and bath. Enjoy a fire pit, hot tub, and quiet countryside views. The only nearby neighbors are cows! Centrally located near Urbana, Springfield, and Mechanicsburg—less than an hour from Columbus and Dayton. A perfect rural escape with vintage charm.

This historic structure was originally a 2-story log home built in 1813. The home was used as an Inn or tavern along the Old Federal Road leading from Columbus to Springfield. In 2020, the decision was made to disassemble the second floor of the original cabin and then reassemble it on a new foundation with walk-out basement. This rebuilt cabin overlooks Deer Creek and a 50 plus acre wetlands area. The property is 1 mile from I-70 and is only a 30-minute drive to Columbus, OH.
