Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Charlbury

Top marks all round. The house is large and ideal for our needs (a bunch of grey haired old school chums getting together to play board games, chat and drink wine for a weekend). Big kitchen, big lounge, decent bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, just across from a super country pub and in a picture postcard village. The house and kitchen is well equipped and it’s not pristine kitchen ware so you feel you can have fun cooking. All round it was great and we plan to return please.

We had a beautiful stay at Vanessa’s place. It was clean, tidy, and just what we needed for a little break in the Cotswolds. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at Acre Lodge over the late May bank holiday and it was brilliant. The lodge is clean, well laid out and with all the amenities and equipment you need for a restful stay. The fixtures and fittings are all great quality and the hot tub is good fun. The Mason Arms is a five minute walk away and a fantastic pub for food, service and atmosphere. Janet was a great host, and we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Everything about our stay was perfect! From the croissants left for breakfast to the private jacuzzi. If you want a private, peaceful getaway but with a 5 star feel then this is the place for you!

We loved the Little Forge! Such a nice cottage and would highly recommend for anyone after a peaceful Cotswolds getaway. Bledington is beautiful and the village pub on the green is only a 2 minute walk.

We had a lovely time at Arch Cottage. The house is in a great location, full of character, and with a lovely garden. Will couldn't have been more helpful, and quick ro respond. We were celebrating joint birthdays and it made it extra special being in such a lovely house. Thank you Will.

This is a really lovely place to stay in a beautiful village. Chris has thought of everything - the attention to detail and the design of the space is spot on for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Everything you need and a fantastically equipped kitchen. We really loved it and had a great 3 night break welcoming in 2025. Very good and quiet location and the 5 minute walk to The Lamb Inn was icing on the cake. Chris gave us lots of really useful information about local amenities. It’s also a great spot for getting to all the main Cotswolds sights very easily and quickly. Highly recommend

Ours was a short get away trip to rejuvenate our spirits and reconnect with each other in a home away from home. Susan’s home in Chipping Norton helped us to achieve that balance and harmony through her welcome gestures and in being proactive in meeting our expectations. We are thoroughly impressed by the thoughtful approach with all the walking aids like Wellie boots, umbrellas that helped us to do the rainy walk to St Mary’s church and the alm houses in our stay. A two minutes walk to the city centre , high street and all the restaurants was a great plus that kept us fully charged. A big thanks and admirations for the lovely host, great atmosphere and a superb location.

The amenities in this accomodation are excellent, considering it is a studio. It is comfortable and quiet. I would definitely recommend and would stay again.

This was our second stay at Susie's property and both times it has been exceptional. The location is perfect, quiet but close to everything. Free parking is a huge plus too. We had a fabulous break and would love to visit again some time.

We loved our stay at The Old Post Office. Elizabeth was a great host and made us feel welcome and right at home. The location in Broadway can’t be beat and we would recommend Elizabeth’s home to anyone wanting a great base to explore the Cotswolds.

A beautiful and peaceful cottage with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. It was lovely to have everything there to make up a yummy breakfast! The location is great and walking distance to the village and pubs and restaurants.

A very pleasant, peaceful studio located in a wonderful area of Worcestershire. Tracey was very welcoming and helpful. With their instructions the studio was very easy to find as was the parking.

An exceptional apartment with everything you may need for a short stay in Cheltenham. Suzanne thoughtfully left a welcome basket of goodies which was a very sweet touch. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lovely stay at this Airbnb, would recommend. Used as a base to visit friends. Peaceful neighbourhood and walkable to things of interest. Bed very comfy and Julian was a great host!

the house and garden made an ideal location for a family celebration. made for a fabulous time. loved the coffee machine and arga and bbq. great space, very homely.

Lovely stay. House was spotless and very spacious. The estate has great facilities (pool, spa, tennis courts, etc) and we loved having access to the lake for paddle boarding. Would recommend the private chef from Ballihoo on the estate. Alasdair was a very helpful and responsive host.

We had a lovely time at calm waters, the house is beautiful… the pictures don’t do it justice! The best thing about the house was the rooftop that gave us somewhere to sit in the sun all day, whereas other houses in the lake only benefited from morning or afternoon sun. A very comfortable clean spacious place to stay with full range of facilities and wonderful hot tub. A great scenic outlook over the lake and easy walking access to the spa close by.

Very enjoyable stay. Jan and team were very responsive throughout our stay. The villa was fantastic, beautiful rooms, spacious and lovely view over the lake. Would definitely consider coming again in the future, and the family all loved the place!

This property is amazing for all ages - we celebrated a birthday here and had the best time. The property is large enough that everyone has their own space but cosy enough that you still feel “together”. The location is beautiful and we made use of the pool and the lake. Lots of stubbing places to see locally and plenty of great restaurants. Recommend!!

Oldbury Barn is in a lovely location in the countryside with great views (though tricky to find, so the 'what3words' helped a lot!). The house was nicely presented and lovely and clean. Plenty of pots, pans, mugs (!) utensils etc for a large family group. The open plan nature of the kitchen/diner/lounge is great for a multi generational family gathering like ours, as you are always all together in one huge room. However, note that its a tiled floor and there isn't much in the way of soft furnishings so noise echoes around a bit and can be heard from all bedrooms - but this is only a problem if you have very young kids going to bed early or getting up early! The 2 ground floor bedrooms are large and with lots of storage. The 2 upstairs bedrooms are small with very low ceilings and little storage - fine for kids but we were were 7 adults and one toddler, so that didnt work brilliantly for us . The "slight height restriction" in the description is quite an understatement!!

A beautiful bright spacious modern house with wonderful views across the lake. It is just like the pictures or even better. The lounge and bedrooms are so comfortable and the kitchen is wonderfully equipped with everything you need. Communication was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here.
