Beautiful cottage and we had a fantastic time here. Poppy Cottage is extremely comfortable. We all slept great. Spacious kitchen and lovely garden to relax in. A really great property. Thank you for a great stay 😊

This was a lovely spacious house with lots of rooms to spread out socially. The pool was the most amazing feature. The host met us at the property to show us how the pool worked and to give us the lockbox code. They were friendly. They let us know we could message them if we needed anything, then they left us to our own privacy. You might need to bring a spare towel so you have one for the pool and one for the shower. Tea and coffee were provided but you need to make sure you have some milk with you. There was toilet roll, And kitchen roll. Washing up liquid. You might want to bring a box of tissues for General use and some multipurpose cleaning wet wipes. We had a lovely stay and we will definitely be returning.

This is a beautiful let to stay at, The pool is magnificent and the house is top class. Loads of hidden features all around and a ginormous TV! Great hosts & Lovely plot & local area. Highly recommend Bears Paw for food just 5 mins away. Thank you, We would love to come back

We LOVED our stay here! The home is fabulous, so many spacious rooms to explore, each one decorated in a great way. The outdoor space is amazing, and was such a highlight of our stay, from the stunning countryside views, the lush pool, the immaculate sauna out building (a hot tub on the balcony or outside would be a cherry on top of a delicious cake). We also loved that the house was so well stocked in the kitchen and cupboards throughout the house, which made it easier and more enjoyable to just chill at the house. Everyone said that they're beds were super comfy too. The neighbours were very welcoming and helpful too, it was a lovely start to our stay meeting Les! It was easy to communicate with the host, and they messaged us 24 hours before check out to let us know we could check out later which was fab. Would definitely recommend staying here with a big group, plenty of space for everyone with a fab social dining table. Diolch yn fawr

We had a lovely long weekend in Libby’s lodge. The lodge itself was much bigger and more spacious than we expected. It’s located on a beautiful, peaceful site, with lots of amenities and it’s only a short drive to the nearest town. Libby was really helpful and responsive. We’d definitely stay here again!

Outstanding in every respect, Paola and Chris were perfect hosts. The house was ideally located for us visiting the races. Stupidly we got locked out and Paola and Chris went out of their way to help us.

Great communication from the point of booking. Lovely house, no issues with parking. Great location for Chester and the zoo.

We had a lovely stay here, Tania and Jonathan (and Mya the dog!) were lovely and helpful. Home was just as described, if not better! Would definitely recommend as an escape from a busy town! The turn onto the lane was a bit tricky to navigate and the wifi wasn’t great but the rest absolutely made up for it. A gorgeous few days! ☺️

Lovely hidden gem! Tucked away but so close to everything, we loved staying here. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 bigger kids. Beautifully decorated and furnished with lots of additional touches like the very thoughtful welcome basket - very much appreciated. River views are beautiful, especially from the balcony on a sunny morning. We loved our daily wander into Chester via Grosvenor Park or by the river for a slightly longer a scenic route. Jaunty Goat was a favourite for breakfast, and we wandered round the walls to The Architect pub for a nice drink, but so many options within the city. Super handy Waitrose is just across the road. We even managed to tuck our fairly big car into the parking space (we were warned it was tight but it was totally fine with a bit of mirror manoeuvring). Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely weekend, the house was as described clean and very comfortable. It is close to police station so can be noisy at times however this not affect our stay. Bus stop right outside which goes directly into Chester. Lovely walk along the canal into Chester just down the street. We would recommend this accommodation to others.

This property is beautiful and in an amazing area. I travel to the UK and stay in Airbnbs often. This house and the furniture inside were more comfortable than what you get in most Airbnb in the UK. Usually, you get small sofas and beds in the UK, but there was no such issue here. We were comfortable and found everything we needed. One issue is that it wasn't clear beforehand that the lake is off-limits to guests. You receive a detailed information email a couple of days before your arrival, and there you read that the lake is private and it's not private to this property, you are not allowed around it. But others are, which means people are walking around the lake and in front your garden. It would be better if this was mentioned in the listing because I think the lake and the implication of privacy is probably a big factor in why people might book this house. Beautiful property overall but we were disappointed about the lake issue.

What a fantastic find! We had 2 days away with our dog, perfect location for walks along the River Dee & Shropshire canal. The house was clean & everything was the same as seen on Airbnb. Tim was very responsive when we had a query & we would definitely recommend anyone going to Chester if you can get in then it’s perfect. Thanks for letting us stay ☺️

It was a great place, well located for Shrewsbury town centre with a pleasant walk along the river to get there. I would definately stay here again. Note: finding the property can be tricky when following 'sat nav', and working out how to reverse a car into the off-road drive required a bit of strategic thought, but that all seemed to add to the experience! We stayed as a family (2 adults; 2 kids) for 2 nights and had a great time exploring Chester! Fantastic central location meant everything was walkable. Welcome basket, with treats for when we arrived, was a really nice touch; and made it feel even more of a holiday. Private parking space right outside was also really convenient; and made it simple to transfer luggage to and from the place.

Great time in cottage’s Melanie, where we could visit our family in a quite and friendly environment. The house is set to have all what you need and feel comfortable from the first second. We really recommend to visit the area. Very nice memories in family.
