Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Chickamauga Lake

This is our second trip here and for good reason. There’s something special about this simple cozy cottage. It’s so clean has a modern rustic touch, and is peaceful to boot. The animals out back provide the perfect ambiance to this quiet tucked away cottage. Wed give this place 10 stars if we could - such a special place. Hope to come back again.

Lookout Mountain Birdhouse is a new property, so everything is shiny and clean. While just off the road, it's very private. It's ~30 minutes to Chattanooga proper, but that worked OK for us. Lacy is a true gem of a host and great to work with. She promptly answered any questions we had and stayed in touch. The good and the bad: the tall, west-facing windows make for a bright house and a beautiful view, but the windows in the living area have no shades, which can render that area almost unusable in the late afternoon on a clear day. That said, we would definitely stay there again. We particularly enjoyed the Sunset Rock via Craven's House Trail, and the Montague Sculpture Garden in Chattanooga. The tour of Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery was fun, too.

We had a great stay at Lisa's house with our pups! The location was incredibly convenient for exploring all that Chattanooga has to offer. We were in town for a race, and Lisa's thoughtful gesture of bringing us fresh towels was so kind and truly appreciated – a wonderful and unexpected touch! We're already looking forward to coming back and trying those famous muffins we read about! Recommend Lisa's place for a comfortable and welcoming stay in Chattanooga with your fur babies.

If you’re looking for a spacious lake home that’s perfect for large families and packed with amenities, this is the place to book. From the private dock and boat landing to the kayaks, bonfire pit, and hot tub, you can truly enjoy the lake in comfort and style. The hosts were responsive and accommodating, and we had a great time during our stay. Highly recommend—thank you!

This was the most magical little piece of heaven that my husband and I stayed. The architectural design and decor were amazing, and the views were breathtaking. We would highly recommend this place for a getaway to enjoy some r&r.

The second you walk into this beautiful house you are home! Great details, comfortable furniture and one HUGE TV! Amazing views from the dining room and deck, just perfect.

Perfect location for our family and a great layout. We came with a preschooler and infant and there was plenty of space for our pack n play and the location was excellent to get to the aquarium and children’s museum. We parked right by the park overnight and it was easy to find a spot in the back to unload and load. Would stay here again!

I needed a place to stay for 3 months after my home in another city sold until my new place in Cleveland was finished. Rhonda’s place worked out perfectly. I was able to continue working from home. Internet worked perfectly. It was neat and clean and furnished so well. Rhonda and her husband were great and answered my questions promptly. So friendly. I would recommend to anyone.

The condo was exactly as listed. We had a great stay. The condo is clean and comfortable. The views are beautiful! Kitchen stocked with all the basics. Close to grocery stores, restaurants and you can be downtown and most attractions in 20 minutes. The mattress may need a rotate & flip there is a dip in the middle.

Absolutely loved staying here. It had everything we needed to cook there instead of going out. The bed was so comfortable I slept soooo good every night. Couch and recliner were great to sit and watch the big tv. We will definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

We booked this airbnb because we were rafting on the Ocoee. We were 5 minutes from Cherokee Rafting, our outfitter of choice, so very convenient. Our group was very comfortable and had plenty of space with 2 bedrooms. We used the kitchenette to prepare some simple meals and chose to eat out our dinners in Cleveland- 20 minutes away. We enjoyed sitting by the river in the evening and my husband enjoyed the patio in the morning. The property is well taken care of and beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolute top knotch host, and stay. The apartment is beautiful, spacious, and spotless. The stocked kitchen is a huge bonus. The morning muffins were a big hit, especially for my kiddos. The host honestly thought of everything, and went above & beyond with SO many amazing extras!! You can definitely tell LOTS of love has been put into this home away from home. The place was honestly a bit smaller than I had expected, but it was my first time ever renting Airbnb so I didn’t even read descriptions before renting, so that’s on me. Everything felt pretty comfy and my favorite part was definitely the sound of the river at night, gives an extremely peaceful vibe to the stay. It’s also a great location to find waterfalls for those wanting to hike. Excellent location, would definitely rent again.

My husband and I came up to Chattanooga to spend time with my daughter and son-in-law as well as to see a comedians show. The Airbnb was in lovely surroundings and very peaceful. It felt like we were out in the peaceful woods even though we were minutes away from downtown, the arena where Nate Bargatze performed and multiple restaurants. It is one bedroom and not incredibly spacious but has beautiful outdoor space and is perfect for a private retreat or a quiet getaway. Bonnie was friendly and easily accessible.

Sarah and Brandon's place was great for our family of four. There was plenty of space for us. It is in a convenient location to get to the aquarium and restaurants, and was easy to navigate to from the interstate. Our kids enjoyed the pool and appreciated the provided pool towels. It was just right for our visit to Chattanooga, we'll book again when we're back.

Beautiful place to stay, very quiet and peaceful, everything was as described, loved that it had everything we needed, the games and toys were a hit with my granddaughter, I love that it was so clean, and there is lots do within walking distance, will definitely stay here again!!

Great and comfortable place to stay. Check in was easy. Very close to everything, restaurants, museums, ruby falls, rock city, etc. Noise was not really noticeable from Main Street. Had most amenities. Paper towel was half of one and only two laundry pod were provided. We traveled with a two year old. They provided a pack and play and high chair which was great. Host was very responsive, attentive, and friendly. Overall, I would stay here again. Good experience.

Boyfriend and I visited for his bday. Cute little studio downtown Chatt. Walkable to the main strip with a lot of restaurants, bars, aquarium, etc. We even stumbled upon a dive bar directly across the street that had a punk show going on one night (we love). Would recommend to anybody, especially couples!

We absolutely loved our stay! Perfect for a weekend getaway. We were within 20 minutes max from different attractions. I think some of the reviews mentioned noise from the traffic but that did not bother us at all! Yes, you can hear it but it wasn’t too loud that we couldn’t sleep. Would definitely recommend!!

It was a very nice place close to everything. If you don’t have the patience or means to pay for parking this place isn’t for you. Being so close to downtown the parking is limited and we had to pay for parking for the entire trip. But we knew that was part of the risk of being downtown. It was so nice being able to walk around everywhere. The flat was so cute and had everything you needed. I would recommend this place! But like I said if searching/paying for parking and occasional city noise isn’t your thing don’t stay here! But in my opinion it’s worth it for the convenience to everything!

We come to Chattanooga quite often to visit our daughter who lives there, and this is now one of our favorite places! It has the charm that only an older home can have-beautiful architecture and some squeaky floors which actually just adds to the charm! Jennifer left plenty of coffee, water and snacks which was a great touch that we enjoyed. The air conditioner worked great on a warm June night and the bed was very comfortable. A special bonus was a fantastic vinyl collection and record player that we used throughout the evening. Also loved coffee out on the patio in the morning! The neighborhood is stunning and beautiful and quiet. Can't wait to come again another time!
