Family-friendly holiday rentals in Christchurch

Our second visit here, and will likely come back. Astrid is a great host and the stables are a lovely little space to stay with beautiful surroundings and a great location within the New Forest.

We had a lovely stay at Greenbank. The house was spacious, tidy and clean, and we appreciated the extras provided by the host (towels, toiletries, tea and coffee). The property is just a short walk away from a playground , shop, pharmacy and local places to explore, which we enjoyed investigating. Our 4-year-old loved reading the children's books from around the house and the garden was a lovely spot to play in. We paid to have the hot tub, which we found easy to use and great fun. We had a wonderful stay at the Old Farm Shop. It was in a lovely location - you could explore lots of beaches and also walk from the doorstep in to the countryside and to the sea. It was clean and tidy and had all the things you would need for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was a great extra! Susie and Sarah were super responsive and helpful. We had a really lovely time, thank you.

We missed the turning for the house the first time we went past so make sure you drive slowly around the lanes! Hosts (Lynette and her husband) met us at the house and gave us a tour. They helped us organise the private chef prior to the stay, really recommend Chef Gary, very reasonably priced and good food! House was clean and tidy. Breakfast bits and spare towels for the hot tub were provided. Hot tub turned on prior to us arriving which was really handy. We used the house more as a base as we spent the whole of Saturday out at the New Forest so unfortunately didn't get to make use of the golf or tennis. There are rules/expectations for checking out but this was clearly explained on the listing. There are quite a few rules compared to other airbnbs we've stayed at, but as there is a lot of white, marble, mirrored furniture, this does make sense and the house is super clean. Again this is all in the listing. Really recommend the stay, beautiful house in great location.

So nice to unwind, listen to the birds and decompress. Exactly what was needed with our hectic lives and schedules. Loved the quiet location and that our dogs could walk around the golf course and woods. Only recommendation we would make is a little freshen up and updating in some areas, like sealant around the bath (which was great by the way after a long day!) Having milk when we arrived was well appreciated, if there was a complimentary starter pack of some small jams/butter and scones - I'd give you 5* here! But a great stay nonetheless. Really comfortable.

It was an amazing family get-together with children. All the rooms were great, and the kitchen was well-equipped with all necessary items. The beds were a good size, and we had nothing to complain about.

Definitely recommend Sam’s beautiful house. Immaculately kept garden with hot tub and huge trampoline which kept the children busy. All rooms with clean and had everything that we needed. Beds very comfortable and bathrooms were clean and showers etc all in good order. Thank you!

We had a lovely, relaxing stay! The space was perfectly set up for kids and incredibly comfortable and warm. The hot tub was a real bonus! My 2yo has asked if we can go back to Sarah’s house ever since we left 😂 We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great stay!

Great location close to the centre of town but peaceful and easy parking. Super comfortable beds and an excellent shower.

The most gorgeous cottage in stunning surroundings! We have had a wonderful 4 nights here exploring the island. The local pub was great and the village store at Brighstone so handy! The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing, comfortable stay. Thank you!

A wonderful few days with friends in this beautiful converted barn overlooking fields. So much space for kids to run around and Sarah and Simon are so welcoming. Kitchen well stocked so easy to cook. Bedrooms all really comfortable. Lake and Zip wire were so much fun. Couldn't fault it, would happily return!

This was our second stay. Everything was as nice as we remembered from our first visit. The flat is spacious and well-appointed, the location is private and quiet, and the hosts are friendly and responsive. What more could you ask for in an AirBnB?

Had a lovely time with our 4 month old and wanted somewhere outside of Bournemouth where it’s more peaceful and this didn’t disappoint. The apartment was spotless and everything was to a very high standard, including all provisions you’d need plus more… Jonathan has literally thought of everything and gone the extra mile to make it a home from home. Would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Great location for a family break. Entertainment passes included. Kids will love the robots delivering food in the restaurant. Didnt try out the pool this time but looked great. Loved how close we were to the beach beautiful day and night, with stunning sunsets. Also enjoyed a walk around the nature reserve. Great base for getting out on our bikes. We absolutely love the new forest and this was a great base for a short stay. We'd happily stay for longer.

We had an excellent week at this property. Lovely location, we enjoyed our walks down to the beach each day with our dog. Such a lovely buzz on the beach, very chilled. The open top bus from the site to Sandbanks and Poole was great. Our teenage daughter and her friend made use of this a couple of times to go shopping and explore a little on their own. We visited Corfe Castle, which was in a lovely place and parked on the Purbeck car park (rather than the actual Castle Car Park) which gave a lovely scenic walk through and passed over the Steam Railway. We visited Lulworth Cove and did the cliff top walk over to Durdle Door, which was an amazing site. Weymouth is beautiful, very sunny that day so perfect for a sea side resort. We took a look at the Beach Hut, in a great place, with a green area, Cafe and play park. Would work really well as a base for enjoying yourselves, especially if you have younger children. The views from Seascape are wonderful and added greatly to our holiday. From sunny breakfast on the deck to cosy evenings watching the sun set we found everything we needed and we felt at home straight away. The lodge was immaculate and Judith dealt quickly with the only issue we had when the oven had a fault, so our holiday was not impacted greatly. It's a 15 minute walk into Swanage with an uphill return or free 2 hrs parking next to the Co op if you spend £10 there. Altogether a perfect place to enjoy Swanage and explore the Isle of Purbeck.

We had a blissful few days at Flint cottage. Wonderful kitchen to cook in, and multiple fabulous farm shops nearby. We ordered a heat and eat pie and a DIY breakfast pack for our first night, which made the start of the holiday so much more chilled out. The outdoor bath was also really special. We were so comfortable throughout we just relaxed completely. Can’t wait to come back!

My parents had an amazing one-month stay at Laura’s Airbnb! The apartment was exactly as described. Clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location was perfect, close to local shops, restaurants, and public transportation, which made exploring the area so easy. Laura was incredibly welcoming, quick to respond to any questions. We had a great stay. The place was easy to find, and there was plenty of parking in site. We could let ourselves in as the key was in a key-safe box, and just left the key in the door on leaving so the check-in/out was seamless. The place felt like it was in the middle of nowhere, very peaceful and beautiful countryside. The accommodation itself was basic, clean and comfortable, perfect for our needs. But for us the best bit was the pool and games rooms (the main reason for booking this place). The pool was a decent size, the water was clean and a nice temperature - the kids loved it and the parents loved the sauna which was pool side. The games room was very well equipped with a table tennis table and badminton court (the court was not full size but big enough for fun with the kids), although I'd advise bringing your own bats and balls if you took it seriously ;). The room also had loads of kids toys to amuse the younger ones.

We stayed here for just over a week with our three children -everything was clean and tidy when we arrived and it was a nice place to use as a base for going to the beach/Hengistbury Head. Lovely holiday!
