Small Paradise above the Walensee

A beautiful old countryside home, lovely furnished in a paradise-like setting. The house is perfect for people who are looking to get a break from the big, loud world or would like to discover the beautiful Swiss mountains by foot. If you are coming by public transport you will need to hike one hour on a very beautiful hiking path (Weesen - Quinten). If you decide to come by car you will only need to hike 15min from the parking lot to the house. We highly recommend to wear good hiking shoes.

The renovated 3.5-room holiday apartment is located on the quiet outskirts of Churwalden, a charming village that serves as the gateway to the Arosa-Lenzerheide ski area. The village center, with shops, restaurants, a swimming pool, an ice rink, and cable cars, is a maximum of 10 minutes on foot. The return journey from the ski area to the house is possible with skis, or alternatively, the bus can be used. The Furnerschhus bus stop is located about 100 meters from the apartment.

The guest room and bathroom as well as the living room (where there is a small fridge, a Nespresso coffee maker and a kettle) are located in the attic with beautiful views of Lake Walen and the Churfirsten. OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES Our cat also lives in the attic, which shares the bathroom and the living room. It has a parking in front of the house and a seating area with a fireplace. This 200-year-old Appenzell house towers high above Herisau AR and is lovingly called "GöttiFritz" by its owners. It shines authentically in a fantastic mountain and hill scenery – a true retreat for the soul.

This unique place has a style all its own. It is new, well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and a large balcony. Well located for skiing, some ski resorts can be reached in a short time. The bedroom has a box spring bed 180/200 cm for 2 people. For another 2 people, there is a sofa bed in the living room, so it would also be possible to book the loft with 4 people.
