Holiday rentals with a washing machine and dryer in Crab Orchard Lake

Gave all 5’s because it’s a great place to rent and sleep for someone taking the train or needing something less…concerning…than other nearby rentals. Window unit AC’s so be aware of that if such a thing affects your sleep (not a problem, just a personal flaw of MINE). Location isn’t next door to anything cool, but it’s Carbondale so that’s a good thing. It’s quiet and people aren’t drunkenly stumbling past your door.

It was the best day the couple was so wonderful to me and my family. I would say there again.

Convenient location, easy to find, cute place

Ben has a great place centered in downtown Cape Girardeau and walking distance to restaurants and breweries and the Mississippi River. Not far from SEMO campus. I recommend Ben’s place! Thanks Ben.

We were all very happy with our stay! Everything was clean and tidy. We walked downtown to eat dinner, see the Mississippi River up close, and stopped for ice cream. Everyone slept so well! I would definitely stay here again!

Had a wonderful time at Frank and Gail’s place! Met a buddy I haven’t seen in a while and we had a great time. Plenty of space, great amenities, and good location. The owners were very friendly, checked on us when there was a big storm and made sure we had power and everything else we needed!

The place was exactly as listed. Very clean, quiet and spacious. Will definitely consider staying here again when coming back to the area. (Highly recommend Martel's Pizza! 4 minutes down the street)

Beautiful unit in downtown location with restaurants in walking distance. The bed was VERY comfortable! Both my husband and I were pleased with the bed and we usually have different requirements in a mattress to accomplish this. Host was extremely responsive, courteous and communicated quickly. As expected with a downtown location there was some street/vehicle noise (we have an early sleep schedule) but we were prepared with our sound machine/app which effectively masked the outside noises and we slept very well. Checking in/out was easy and convenient. Know that the door is on the alley side of the building but the door faces the street (we missed the door location initially but quickly figured it out). We would definitely rent again.

Peaceful and very comfortable. Pumpkin streusel cake was amazing and a very welcoming touch! Kitchen was fully stocked with needed supplies. House was large and very clean. Would stay recommend to anyone in the area.

Great place, recommend and would stay again

We had stayed 6 days and loved it. Very quiet and peaceful. Would highly recommend would stay again next year very clean and roomy it was perfect..

Jennifer’s place was perfect for what we needed, especially close to the hiking spots we were looking forward to along the Cache River. The house was clean and had lots of local recommendations, snacks, it was much bigger than we expected and Jennifer even reached out about what to do in the event of severe weather when the forecast looked not so great. Highly recommend!

This place is such a sweet retreat from busy highways and from the world! Our stay was short as we were en route but it was a wonderful respite and all of our needs were met. We would definitely stay there again!

Amy was very helpful, responsive and kind. She had many suggestions on things to do in the area as well as restaurants. Very organized! The place was cute, cozy, clean and very well stocked. Everything you need is pretty much in the place. Amy has added touches that other hosts do not. My wife and I enjoyed swimming and kayaking with the kayaks provided on the beautiful lake. We also loved the hot tub at night when it cooled down. It was very roomy and clean. We took numerous walks around the area...just gorgeous scenery and wildlife. We went hiking one day, did a few of the wineries and a distillery on the wine trail one day. We grilled on the flat top a couple times and that was well maintained. There is also a cute firepit on the property. We love this area so much we try to come down every couple years as the area is just breath-taking and a great reset from busy life. I would highly recommend and definitely stay at Amy's place again.

The Little House was absolutely perfect!!!! And we couldn’t have asked for a better host! I stayed and worked on a computer project while my husband fished Rend Lake. It was peaceful and we had everything we needed and more! Plenty of parking for the boat, strong WiFi, extra snacks and goodies, and just an all around fantastic stay! Tracy was easy to chat with and gave us great recommendations, including a beautiful walk at The Rend Lake Dam Trail! We will return to The Little House when we return to Rend Lake for sure!

My family of six plus one settled in comfortably at this home. I preplanned all of our meals so that I could cook them more easily once we got there. Although we took our own aluminum foil, parchment paper, food, drinks, and condiments, we used the cooking utensils, pots, pans, grill, and place settings provided at the home. The location was perfect, as it was peaceful while we were there and an easy drive from there to the marina, where we rented a boat for a day at Lake of Egypt. The home was very clean and cozy. It was perfect for our family’s weekend getaway. And the price was very nice! We’ve paid significantly more for places that were not as nice as this one.
