Wendy’s Airbnb is in a very convenient location, especially if you’re having to walk at all. Wendy will greet you upon arrival, and I found her to be incredibly friendly and personable-she’s truly great to chat with and was very accommodating throughout my stay. She and her husband reside upstairs which makes for quick and easy communication. Personally I find it valuable when the host is on site as it makes it feel safer, and I’ve had issues at other properties where hosts weren’t present. I’d seen this ad before but hesitated because it’s a basement apartment. Upon checking in, I was pleasantly surprised-it’s much brighter and more welcoming than the ad suggests. The apartment was very clean, the bed is soft and comfortable and coffee pods are provided, which is all I really ask for when staying somewhere.🙂The beautiful little backyard is obviously well-tended, and there’s an area where you can sit out in the sun. This Airbnb feels like a home away from home, and I’d stay again.

We loved staying at Cassandra’s place! It was beautiful, the place is clean and cozy. It has everything that we need for a weekend stay in the north shore area. Close to state parks and the area is nice to explore. Definitely would recommend!

This was a welcome stopover on our tour of Lake Superior. The AirBnb is in a quiet location and was spotlessly clean, and was easy to settle into. A great choice for people looking to stay in the area for both a long-term stay or quick overnight trip.

Definitely recommend staying here! Keith was very friendly and responsive after booking and leading up to our stay. Right away, we noticed how clean everything was. This really made the space comfortable. Everything is also updated and modern, which was really nice. We stayed here to take a class at the Folk School, and we were so glad we chose to stay here, as it was only a couple of blocks away. Also, it's within walking distance of restaurants and coffee shops. What a beautiful location! The only minor thing we noticed is that the space had a musty smell. It was something you could get used to, and it is likely due to the age of the building. It could have also been because of the time of year (early May). This still wouldn't stop us from staying here again.

I stayed here for three days with my wife and 2-month-old daughter. We received a warm welcome from Robert and Chester. We also got to meet Emmy Lou the following day. We loved everything about the stay. We woke up to the beautiful sounds of nature and felt one with it as we walked around the place. Robert recommended some local spots that we couldn't find on Google, and we enjoyed them. He was always ready to help us feel at home, and we recommend his place for anyone visiting Thunder Bay. P.S.: If you like "The Outdoor Boys", then you'll enjoy interacting with Robert, learning about his projects, the place and everything about the overall experience.

Amanda was very easy to communicate with and friendly. I would’ve stayed more than one night if the situation were different. There is a lot to do in the area. The unit was very attractive and clean. Also, the checkout procedure was seamless.

The cozy bear den was clean, comfortable and cozy! It’s in a great location, close to all of the north shore parks and other attractions. We needed last minute accommodations and the owners were responsive and able to help. The sauna was an added bonus. Recommend!!

Kelly’s place made my family’s trip to Thunder Bay a memorable one. I was really impressed with how fully stocked the place was with supplies! We didn’t need anything extra. There were so many games and activities around, we never got bored. The space and size of the place was perfect for hosting a large group. I would highly recommend! The only thing very minor thing I would’ve wished for was the dock have been in the water, as we did a lot of swimming through the weekend. Overall 10/10. Thank you Kelly for an amazing weekend!

Great place! Close to the airport, shops and restaurants. Danielle is very responsive and super friendly! We didn’t have time to take advantage, but the backyard is a great space for family and fury friends! Would definitely stay here again, it’s super spacious too!

This was our second time at Deidra’s Tofte home, and if possible - it was even more magical than our first time. Not only is she an amazing host - we basically planned our itinerary around all her wonderful recommendations - but this house is just a gem on the north shore. Well stocked, better than photos, and pristine views of the lake each day. We’ll be back again and again 😊

This house is in Hovland on the North Shore (relatively close to the Canadian border), and the view from the house of Lake Superior is breathtaking. You can just sit there and enjoy it. The home is well-equipped, with a lovely wood-burning fireplace (it made an especially lovely aroma in the house). We also liked the charming river bordering the property, it's literally a small river going through which gives more feelings of wilderness. Easy access to Grand Marais, Lutsen, and Grand Portage, and also to abundant hiking trails, which we really enjoyed.

We had absolutely everything anyone could possibly need at our fingertips and we would stay here again in a heart beat. I rented this place for family members who were in town for important appointments. They were so impressed with how friendly and responsive both Jordan and Stephanie were from the start of their stay until the end. They described the rental as “beautiful” and were impressed with the newness of items in the home, including in the bedrooms and kitchen. They would recommend this place to others and would gladly rent again.

We have stayed at Chateau LeVeaux many times and it never disappoints!

On both nights of the stay, host reached out to let us know if we stepped outside we may be able to see the northern lights. Before the stay, had several lists of recommendations and things to do in the area. Quick response time and very friendly. The condo is in a beautiful, serene location that is perfect to escape to.

I'm not one for words but it was absolutely spectacular plenty of room for a family of five super quiet and absolutely gorgeous scenery. Will definitely book again as soon as I can.

This was a great place for our family, right on the lake. We were close to lots of parks and hiking trails. Quick drive to restaurants and shops. There was plenty of space and the indoor pool was a great spot for our kids.

Wonderful stay for a long weekend. Vienna was quick to respond to any questions and the location was spectacular.

We had an incredible stay with Jill!! The space had everything we could need and was perfect! We ended up using the fireplace on a cold night and it made for such a romantic and cozy ambiance. I loved that the bed was high enough to be able to see the waters of superior while lying down and it was dark enough to see the stars through the window at night. Jill responded right away to our questions and was very accommodating and polite. 10/10 we would absolutely stay here again ! Thank you very much!!
