Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Empire

We loved our stay in this beautiful house! It's even better in person than the photos - and the photos are pretty great! Perfect location - peaceful and secluded but not far from anything. Melissa was amazing and communicated quickly when any question arose - we were able to check in early and check out late which was an awesome benefit with wine in the car! The amenities are perfection: such a well-stocked kitchen and a pristinely clean bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and the character throughout this lovely old granary really made it a stand out. The location is central to many wineries, breweries and great restaurants - we never felt far from anything but it was so quiet and peaceful to be surrounded by fields and so much green! The hot tub was an amazing bonus and we used it on an unexpectedly cold May night. Suffice to say, we will, without a doubt, be making a return visit to this wonderful place. - Lisa & Dave, Sawyer, MI

We loved our stay at the Hoxie Homestead. The location was central to all of northern Michigan’s cute towns and beaches. The property was clean and well laid-out. Loved the decor, and the master bed was super comfy and soft. The hot tub and sauna were perfect. We would certainly stay again.

Amazing place! Located 20 minutes away from a lot of great towns. Great home especially for the price too! Was a blast with great hosts!

The beach cottage is unbelievable. While the indoor space is relatively small, it is maximized! The outdoor space is private and amazing! The setup on the deck and the beach is exactly what a Lake Michigan retreat should be. 5 minutes Leland and 15 minutes to Glen Arbor makes the location unbeatable. Definitely will be back!

We were impressed by the comfort and welcome of the little red cabin. The hosts were wonderful, amenities plentiful and the cabin was cozy. We very much enjoyed the fire pit and the rocking Adirondack chairs. The outdoor space allowed us to soak up the sun and gain a quiet break from the city life. Easy to drive around this area + we really enjoyed our time spent at the cabin cooking meals and spending time with our dog (it was so amazing that there were bowls there for him). The location was perfect for us. We look forward to returning for another future visit.

We came up here to play Arcadia Bluffs and this was a perfect spot to relax in-between. The space had numerous outdoor areas to eat/hang out and was completely private. The beds are on opposite ends of the house, each with their own bathroom, perfect for 2 couples or a family.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here and I enjoyed this visit as much as the first. Extremely friendly hosts, beautiful surroundings, quiet and peaceful. Exactly what I was looking for. I will stay again for sure.

I absolutely loved my stay at this charming studio! It had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing solo retreat. The setting is incredible - right on the water. The views were breathtaking, especially at sunrise, and the private sandy beach made it feel like a hidden oasis. The landscaping is gorgeous , and the beachfront seating, fire pit, and beach toys made it easy to unwind and enjoy. The patio was a perfect spot to relax with a view and peaceful atmosphere. The owners were so kind and welcoming. It felt tucked away, yet still close to everything. Truly the best of both worlds. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, and relaxing stay with stunning setting.

My partner and I’s stay at Jeffrey and Holly’s suite was outstanding. The space felt incredibly homely, with cozy decor and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. It was spotless and well-equipped with snacks, coffee, beach amenities, you name it - and we loved using their kayaks for exploring Silver Lake. They were friendly and provided smooth check-in instructions. The price for the area far beats any hotel we could have booked considering how comfortable, clean, and private the unit was. As other reviews said, mechanical noises and footsteps can be heard, but this did not bother us at all. We loved this unit so much, we will probably check the availability for our next trip to TC. This was hands down the best AirBNB we’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend!

We had a great time, definitely a cozy stay, enjoyed the paddleboat, our kids lived being on the lake as well. we recommend this guest suite and look forward to staying again!

Heather's place was easily accessible. The listing had everything I needed for a lovely weekend at Walloon Lake. It was also very walkable to the waterfront and other things in the town, such as restaurants and the General Store. Great place to stay!

Lauren’s place was perfect for us to stay at when we had a wedding weekend. She was responsive and we had no problems! Recommend!

We had a great stay for a winter ski trip. 20 min to Boyne highlands. Airbnb itself is very well stocked and well maintained. Host was responsive. One thing to keep in mind is there is a steep staircase to get to the unit that I imagine may not be suitable for all.

This was my second time at the snowshoe cabin. It was a great base for finding local trails and parks. Lori was very accommodating with my checkout when I needed some extra time.

Very clean! Appreciated modern and fully equipped kitchen. Nice little table and chairs for my morning coffee just outside the door. Wonderful backyard! The firepit is nicer than some places I've been. This cabin is on a dirt road in a little neighborhood. Sort of private. Pretty quiet. Surrounded by many tall pines, walkable to trail head. Will visit again.

Great stay. Cute and cozy cabin. The pictures show it as brown, but its now purple and no addresss is on the outside, so it was a little tricky to find. Dog friendly. Everything you need and extras. Thank you.

Wow — this was maybe the best AirBnB experience that I’ve had. Monica has done such a wonderful job with this cabin. It was pristine, peaceful, and in the most beautiful location. The cabin itself was exceptionally comfortable with everything we needed for comfort. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials and cooking utensils, with a great grill outside — we used it for most meals! The porch was almost with the entire value of the place itself, a perfect spot to sit and relax and enjoy the day. My dog was in LOVE with her surroundings, and we enjoyed many a walk down the long grassy lawn to the water where she swam and laid out in the sun on the dock (plus was put into a kayak successfully for the first time with moderate success!). Monica was an incredible host who has quite literally thought of everything to make the stay perfect. We hope to stay again in the future!

Cute and comfy cabin! Private and serene location in the woods. Hosts were very responsive and flexible. Rustic feel yet modern comforts. Very nice new bathroom and updated appliances. Nice fenced-in yard surrounded by nature. Very clean. Very minimal to zero cell phone service but nice to escape that.

My wife and I came here for a couple days with our dog. The place was just what we were looking for to relax, unwind, and just enjoy a few days of peace to reset. Beautiful area, away from the distractions of life, and the campfire area was absolutely amazing. Our dog loved having a ton of space to roam and run. Amazing host and an amazing place!
