Cabin holiday rentals in English Channel

Just back from a lovely weekend away at Tom’s cabin. The cabin was in a great location, private, peaceful with beautiful wildlife surroundings. The hot tub was a real treat. Great communication from Tom during the weekend if needed, check in and out was a breeze. A perfect weekend for my wife’s 40th birthday celebrations.

My wife and I stayed four nights at Oak Tree Retreat In June. It is a lovely place. It is obvious that a lot of work and care has gone into making this a relaxing and comfortable place to stay. Our hosts, Alexia & James, were very friendly and helpful. The gifts of bread, biscuits, hot chocolate and marshmallows on arrival were a generous touch and much appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable. The cabin had all we needed for our stay during which we mainly self-catered. The cooking arrangements were great. The absolute highlight was the hot tub which we enjoyed for three of our four nights! There is lovely walking country within a five minute drive from the Cabin. Local shops and food outlets are close by. I would certainly recommend Oak Tree Retreat to anyone.

Lovely spot, the lake house feels very secluded perfect for a getaway. The place feels very considered, lots of attention to detail to make the stay good. The cabin has everything you need, had a lovely stay :)

i Booked for a night away with my partner, was everything you could of imagined! The Hot tub was obviously the highlight of the night away with the colour changing lights and bluetooth speakers. Carly was a wonderful host, answered any questions i could of had ( i messaged and asked for more towels, which was kindly brought down to me) i couldn’t of asked for a more private, peaceful and uninterrupted night away! The bed was extremely comfortable! The garden was just so beautiful, I could very much tell it was a well taken care of space as soon as you entered. With greeting signs and instructions on how to work the blinds and AC, Netflix was provided also on the tv which was a huge plus for watching a film in the evening. Finding the house was also very easy if you obviously read the instructions Carly has provided you with when you book. Couldn’t wait to come back within 10 minutes of getting there and that thought still hasn’t changed! 100/10 experience!!

Wow - the most beautiful cabin! The owners really have thought of everything, even a toy for our dog 🥰. The garden is enclosed which was perfect for our dog to run around. The hot tub was really hot on arrival, the bath and shower facilities are stunning. We will 100% be visiting again.

Simply stunning couple of nights away. The location is beautifully quiet in the woods. The only note is that it is next door to a holiday home so there can be some noise in the evenings which we experienced, but it didn’t matter one bit to us. Cosy living space and a nice comfy bed with a lovely en suite bathroom. The Chicken House is the best air b n b we have stayed in and we will absolutely be back to use the hot tub as we are gutted we didn’t get the chance to use it this time as we were too busy :) Thank you again for a lovely stay!

this stay was absolutely worth it, it was so peaceful and private, which is just what me and my partner were after. as soon as we arrived, all we could hear was nature and animals which added to the peacefulness. the place was very clean and tidy, with fabulous decor. few added touches by the host that made it feel like a home from home. we will 100% return in the near future, very sad to have left.

Beautiful surroundings and so peaceful and private. Great amenities and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfy, and having the skylight above was a bonus. Lots to do around the area, many pubs, restaurants, and a short travel to cafes, garden centres and zoos!

We had a wonderful stay at The Old Stables. It was perfect for us and our dog with the fenced garden. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. There were clear and easy instructions to check in and out. Fay had left croissants and other bits for breakfast which were greatly received! Thank you very much!

Couldn't praise this stay any more, wish we had booked longer than a few days. Home cooked pizza, then the hot tub and watching the sun set over the hills, watching the deer in the fields and surrounded by the horses was absolutely wonderful. Nearby to Weymouth and ammenaties for exploring and stocking up. Made us and the doggo feel so welcome. Thanks so much for having us. We would love to come back!

The cabin is just utterly magical. It has everything you could need and feels like a little haven. It’s so beautifully crafted and kitted out. And the location feels completely remote and private. I spent three nights here just reading and knitting and never left. It was a deep bliss. Kate was super helpful and responsive when my sat nav took me completely the wrong way! And the cabin felt so warm and cheery that even in a rain storm it was a joy to be there. Thanks so much to Kate for sharing this special place and for making my stay such an easy delight

Lovely, peaceful stay, just what was needed - cabin was tidy, clean and private, lovely touches with the eggs and homemade jam and the animals were the absolute highlight! Nothing better than waking up to find some goats ready to greet you☺️ Carole was friendly, quick to respond and made the experience smooth. Would definitely recommend for a quiet getaway with the option to explore towns and beaches further afield

The Bolt Hole is a delightful little retreat furnished with everything we needed for a great holiday. Tim was a very good host and we had a super break. The weather was good for us but the cabin is very cosy and we thought it would also be great in bad weather.

Absolutely amazing couple of days, both Heidi and Chris were super welcoming. Setting was perfect for what I wanted, local farm shop and walks, peaceful and beautiful. Thank you

The accommodation exactly matches the photos. The house is opposite François and Brigitte's house, but you have plenty of privacy. I really liked the sauna in the cottage and used it several times before bedtime and then slept like a log. In the garden, it is an oasis of peace and you can swing on the swing in the whole big tree in front of the house. François puts fresh bread and pastries in the basket at the front door every morning. Wonderful to start the day like this. François and Brigitte are very warm and give good tips on what to do in the area. I was there with my two dogs and took walks on the cliffs every day. Valleuse d'Antifer is about 20 minutes' drive away and is fantastically beautiful. Even more beautiful than Étretat and less touristy. In Saint Andresse, 2.3 km away, you can also enjoy beautiful walks on top of the cliffs.

We had the most incredible stay at this property. The views alone were some of the best we’ve ever experienced, with the deck overlooking the sea. The beach is a short walk down the cliff side from the property (the walk back up is a workout to say the least, especially on a boiling hot day!) and a stroll across the sand couldn’t have been more peaceful. Christian was a great host and was quick to respond to any questions. This is the perfect place to switch off, with bedrooms with great views and a spacious living room and kitchen. The only thing we’d suggest is possibly bringing your own essentials, such as milk, butter and cooking bits as local shops are about a 15 minute drive. Overall we can’t recommend this place enough, we really needed to reset after a hectic few months and we finally managed to here for which we are so grateful.

True to the description of the accommodation, we spent 2 days relaxing with nature and our animal friends (swans; coypus) that we were able to observe in peace with the binoculars provided. we expect to be back next year. thank you

Just back from a magical honeymoon stay at The Hoot—absolutely fabulous….. even better than the photos. The energy is incredible: soul-soothing, serene, and full of love. Every detail has been thought of, with quirky decor and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy, and soaking in the outdoor tub during a rainstorm was amazing. Jan and Dunc are kind, thoughtful hosts who give you complete space to fully unwind. Can’t imagine anyone regretting a stay here and we will definitely return ✨🌿🛁

This was one of the best stays I’ve had. The view was incredible and the hot tub was amazing! If you’re lucky enough to have the chance to book this place, I’d 100% recommend. We had amazing stay at Axe Valley View for a long birthday weekend in June. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay with beautiful valley views. We especially loved how wildlife and eco-friendly it was, both inside and out. A short drive to Lyme Regis where we attended the Fossil Festival 2025 and great local hiking routes, including Golden Cap in Bridport. Alison was a lovely and welcoming host and we would highly recommend a visit.

Oh my goodness, this place is absolutely incredible! Words can’t even begin to describe how magical it is. The location is absolutely stunning, like something out of a postcard. And the wildlife is absolutely breathtaking, all nestled in a peaceful and tranquil setting. If you’re ever looking for a truly unforgettable experience, I highly recommend booking this place. The offerings are simply amazing, and the hosts are incredibly friendly and attentive. They’ll make sure you have a time of your life. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

Anne's place is a little gem. Beautifully located with that stunning views, and so tastefully decorated. It really is as beautiful as the pictures show. Anne was super responsive with any queries I had. The full description is totally accurate with all the detail on access, walks from the area etc. I'll be returning :-)

Only one word: PARADISE This small cozy chalet is placed on the dune: the sea on one side and a field with cows on the other. Peace and change of scenery guaranteed The icing on the cake: Aude is adorable, considerate and caring.
