The Meadow House was the best! Peaceful. Beautiful. Simplistic. Pristine. Lara is very responsive to any questions you may have and is so cordial. Loved the added touch of a bag of coffee as a welcome gift. Highly recommend to stay here if you want to unwind & relax. The screened-in porch was our favorite spot!

This place was great. Wonderful views. Private and quiet. Non-stop hummingbirds visiting the feeder on the deck.

Exactly what my family needed to relax and recharge! The cabin was super clean at check in. It was also bigger than I expected and had plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. The views from the porch were breathtaking. Can't beat having coffee in the hot tub watching the sunrise. We enjoyed hiking, floating down the river and ended each night with s'mores around the campfire. The town was cute with lots of shops and great ice cream. Host was super responsive and gave detailed instructions prior to our visit. Quick to respond when I asked for local recommendations. Looking forward to coming back next year.

We did a rather long stay in the cabin for a little over a week and had a wonderful time as a family. Even though we had a ton of rain, we were able to watch through (what an incredible view!!!) the windows and enjoy the day spent together! We loved the location of the cabin as we could get to Boone and Blowing Rock quickly. I highly recommend this cabin for a trip to the area and will be sharing with family and friends!

The A-frame was exactly as described. Kitchen was well stocked, appreciate the coffee! Beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels, etc. we wished we had time for one more night here to enjoy all the board games!

Can’t say enough about this place. Everything was as described. Clean, nicely decorated and private. Lots of things to do around the area and if you just wanted to stick to the cabin. There wasn’t once where we thought “you know if would be nice if we had a” or “I need a”… and we opened a cabinet or drawer and there was what we needed. Made it very much like a home and not an Airbnb. Thank you. We will be back.

We absolutely loved staying at Rivers Edge! Cutest little cabin with the best view! We got to see a fox across the river looking for some food and a family of deer crossing the river this morning before we left! Cabin was stocked with everything you need and the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed in! We will be back and refer all our friends to stay at this mountain paradise!

Perfect couples getaway. We enjoyed the serenity, amazingly soft bed, rustic feel, and modern amenities. We will definitely be back!

This was our first time staying at an AirBnB and will not be our last. We were impressed! Paula’s SheShed was amazing! The view alone was worth it, you feel as if you are on top of the world. The SheShed is rustic looking but that is all that is rustic. It has everything you could ever want and Paula made sure you knew where everything was. She even went as far as leaving us a bottle of wine, glasses and a card from a local winery since she knew we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. The place is clean, very well appointed. There is even wood for the fire pit and gas for the grill. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of pillows which is something I’m picky about to my Husbands frustration, lol! If you are going to just relax, explore the area or just vegetate for a few days this is the perfect place. It is quiet and relaxing. Sparta and Mt Airy aren’t far if you need more.

Tranquil beautiful setting. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to a babbling Creek and enjoying the cool fresh Mountain Air. Enjoyed a stroll by the pond and watched the frogs and a chipmunks frolic. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Nicely furnished with comfortable seating and kitchen at all the needed amenities. Will definitely return again soon.

If I was someone on the fence about staying here, I would absolutely stay here! It was beautiful, very clean, well taken care of and very relaxing! It was the best way to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and we will certainly be back! The price was very reasonable for 2 nights in a beautiful relaxing cabin too! We were able to bring our puppy which made it even better! Firefly cabin is a must stay!

Jason’s place is perfect for a short getaway. You can see the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains while you’re enjoying the outdoor hot tub. The place is small but very well maintained and thoughtfully designed. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed our time here. To note for those who are not from this area, there might be some bugs. I recommend bringing bug spray with you. Yet I was able to enjoy the place with a peace of mind despite my serious bug phobia. So it’s absolutely fine for ordinary people. Highly recommend!

Super clean, great location, very peaceful! Such a beautiful place to stay if you are looking to get away from. Situated great for hiking and exploring local towns. Lance was very friendly, tagged along everywhere with us and was very interested in the dogs!

Absolutely wonderful little place! Great stay for a couple and their pup! Bedroom: comfortable king size bed! Very roomy for a 1b1b apartment! Bathroom: the walk-in shower has beautiful green tile and bench! It is not really pictured in listing but it’s absolutely adorable! Living room: cute and comfy couch!! Kitchen: has everything you need for basic cooking! Plus a very nice grill outside! Patio: has a private hot tub and great seating for morning coffee with a view! Overall, the place was absolutely perfect and everything we wanted/needed. It was spotless when we arrived and we had no issues checking in. Highly recommended booking! The cabin is beautiful and spacious. We loved the peaceful feeling both inside and out. The jetted tub was a great feature and there was both a gas and charcoal grill available for us. We loved sitting out on the sliders on the deck and the swing around the fire pit. Hopefully it is available the next time we come visit our daughter.

There are some houses that need to be in a class of their own and Peaceful Horizons is certainly one of them! The views are breathtaking, the silence in the mountains is amazing, the house has everything you can imagine. Kitchen is very well stocked. There are clear labeled instructions on everything in the house. We arrived after dark and it was raining, we passed the driveway and had to do a very interesting turnaround. Try to get there in day light, it’s much easier. We loved it so much, we’re already rebooked in October! We celebrated our 22 anniversary and enjoyed having such peaceful time together. I couldn’t help but tear up every time I sat on the deck. Gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this incredible home. I’m so grateful to have been there.

Renee’s cabin is simply sublime. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care went into creating this peaceful oasis in the woods. Every detail of the tiny home is thoughtfully considered, offering a level of comfort that invites relaxation, reflection, and quiet observation of the surrounding nature. Renee was communicative, generous, and provided clear, easy to follow instructions for check-in. My only regret is that we could only stay for one night. We’re already dreaming of returning for a longer getaway—and another chance to gaze up at the stars from the comfort of that cozy bed. Thanks Renee!

The cabin was peaceful, clean, and perfectly tucked into nature. I took rose petal bubble baths, meditated by the koi pond, and reconnected with God in the stillness of it all. The host? A true gentleman — respectful, kind, and quietly powerful. The “Gotham” theme is spot on… because real-life superheroes do exist. I was honestly a little intimidated at first by his presence and accomplishments, but I left feeling inspired, safe, and seen. Chivalry is not dead — it just lives here. If you’re looking for luxury, nature, and deep peace — especially as a woman traveling solo — this is your place. I came to heal. From the moment I booked "The Summit" Barbara, the owner, was available to answer any questions about local cuisine or how certain amenities worked. The responses were always ultra fast, clear and informative. She treated us as friends as opposed to feeling like a renter. The property was exactly as described and was decorated nicely and in squeaky clean condition. We chose "The Summit" for its solitude and tranquility and boy did it deliver. The Views....simply breathtaking. you have to experience it 1st hand to appreciate the serene beauty of western NC. From the mountains to the lakes to the daily excursions that lead us to try so many new adventures we couldn't have been happier with the host, the house or the location. Memories that will last a lifetime were made and will be cherished forever!

We had an amazing stay! We had 10 in our party & everyone loved it! The driveway is a well maintained gravel road. The beds were comfy & the whole place was very clean. Brian was incredibly responsive & helpful. The dining table & water feature are truly a work of art, it creates such a fun atmosphere during dinner. Boone & Blowing Rock are both so close & awesome places to walk around. I hope we all can come back soon!!

We came to Purlear for a wedding. The mountains alone are awesome. When we saw the cabin, we thought is was quaint and well taken care of. The cabin views were outstanding. My in-laws always love sitting on the porch. We couldn’t get them inside because it was so calming and peaceful. The cabin had everything you would need to be entertained for whatever weather. The only thing that was a negative was the air conditioner was upstairs and the downstairs didn’t get as cool as we would have liked. But our experience was awesome and our dogs had a good time as well. I would definitely rebook this cabin if ever in that area again.
