Great place to stay! Quaint cabin that encourages spending quality time with others and is an escape from reality. Cabins close to the road definitely get road noise, but as city dwellers it did not bother us at all! Well worth it.

Beautiful log cabin with views of pristine lake — this was a great spot for our family with little kids. We loved location with access to all that the area has to offer and took advantage of the lake and the paddle boards. The kids loved swimming in the lake and the hot tub was great to relax in after. Extremely responsive and helpful host.

Our stay was great. Directions were accurate and Google Maps found it without any problems. Everything was very clean and welcoming. My wife and I were looking for a comfortable halfway point to take a day that would break up the road trip into 2 nice pieces, which of course one day of rest equals 2 nights of payment. Everything was great during that day of rest. The hot tub was wonderful- It's been years since we enjoyed one. I look forward to staying here again and so does my wife. ps the Rise & Dine restaurant in town was great. Do your life a favor and get the stuffed French toast for breakfast-You're welcome!

This was the perfect location to explore Northern Michigan. It was so close to many places we wanted to visit. The resort itself had so many amenities. We loved the pools and the beautiful neighborhoods. I highly recommend it because it’s a peaceful landing spot after a day of exploring the breathtaking region.

We loved our stay at Wildwood Lodge! The property is on a barely traveled road and feels secluded (only one neighbor is visible but it does not impede on enjoying any of the hang out areas). The house was really well appointed with amenities (towels, kitchen gadgets/utensils) and was kept very clean. Loved the oversized couch to hang out on and then front porch for morning coffee. The small front fenced in area was perfect for our pups. We will definitely be back!

This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The house is in a quiet area with easy parking and views and an easy walk to the bay. Check-in was simple, with Kate providing great instructions for the keypad to let ourselves in. The house was cozy with all amenities as described, and we felt right at home. All the Traverse City attractions were easy to get to, and Kate provided great recommendations. We had an awesome time and would definitely stay here again.

We had a great weekend. The cabin is lovely. We hiked at the nearby nature area, fished in the lake & surrounding areas, and explored downtown. We made breakfasts and dinners at the cabin and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were all comfortable. We enjoyed the variety of boats available.

It was a real treat to stay in the national forest. I miss it already! If our daughter stays in Manistee we will be back.

Loved the house. Plenty of space. Clean. Soft bed, hot water. Loved the river behind the house, the dogs loved watching the fish as well. It wasn’t as private as I thought, there is a neighbor right next door, and one down the street, and one currently being built across the street but down a little. But the neighbor is nice and keeps to himself. Personally I thought it was going to be a little more private, but that would be my biggest complaint. I would definitely stay again. It was close to everywhere we needed to go, but far enough out of the big towns that it felt private. Definitely recommend the hot turkey sandwich at the Cherry Hut. Good food at Dilbert’s cafe and platte river as well. Hiking is great at sleeping bear dunes, and if you have time, check out Traverse City nature center, they have a hiking system and it’s got some great trails. Some great shopping in downtown traverse city as well and Glen arbor. House is easy to find and would def stay again if in the area!!

My husband and I stayed in the cabin with our two kids and mother in law. It was very secluded and peaceful. We really enjoyed using the kayaks and tubes. There were plenty of downed branches in the woods to make a fire each night, and there was a small hatchet on the property to cut them up. I would recommend bringing groceries or going to the Pineview Discount store about 30 minutes away. Overall, I would absolutely rent this place again.

We loved Dave's place! The house was very comfortable and access to the lake was excellent. My family loved being able to fish and play in the lake when we weren't out sight seeing in Traverse City. We had the resort all to ourselves the week we were there, so it was our own private oasis!

If you're looking for a nice place within walking distance to downtown Bellaire, this is it. I would stay again in the future.

This was such a great find! It was so peaceful in the woods. Having coffee on the porches in the morning was a great way to start the day! Craig was such a communicative host! We really felt like we had all the information we needed well before check-in.

Perfect cabin in a secluded location with nice river access. Would stay here again. Erica was proactive with communication and very quick to respond! Our stay at this charming cabin in Benzonia was absolutely perfect and exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a true gem. The highlight was undoubtedly the private lake right in the backyard. It was incredibly well-maintained and offered a serene and picturesque setting for a truly quiet getaway. We spent hours enjoying the peaceful views and the sense of seclusion it provided. The cabin itself was impeccably clean and incredibly well-equipped with everything we could possibly need. It truly felt like a home away from home, allowing us to relax and unwind without a single worry. A special shout-out to the hosts, who were simply the sweetest and most helpful individuals. Their warmth and attentiveness made our stay even more enjoyable. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, testament to their thoughtful organization. We spent the weekend here for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! It was great to escape for a few nights - we loved the private location & all of the amenities with the cabin (record player, dvd player, coffee maker, etc.) as well as the campfire area. This is very close to Torch Lake, as well as only ~45 minutes from Traverse City so there is plenty to do if you are looking to go out. The cabin was cozy & relaxing, so you may just want to stay there the whole time. I would caution future guests to prepare yourselves for the drive in - it’s hidden in a wooded area, so your car may be stuck in the mud or blocked by fallen trees - just be prepared for that. Otherwise, this was the perfect getaway & we can’t wait to return!

Exactly what we needed for a long weekend, peaceful surrounding, disconnected to regroup and breath. If you want to admire the star without any light pollution, perfect spot. House was great, plenty of space and of course dog friendly (our trusted Viszla loved it too….dog approved). Just 10min from Suttons Bay and 20 from Traverse City. Jess was super responsive and accommodating

Lovely little getaway up north. My family and I stayed for thanksgiving and we had a great stay. The place is very clean and spacious enough for our family of four. Would definitely return!

A peaceful and relaxing cabin setting right on the water. A nice outdoor area with porches, chairs, fireplace and dock. The place was cozy and well appointed with modern amenities and supplies. We enjoyed the location as a base to relax and do day trips around the area.

Wow! This gorgeous, peaceful cabin was just the getaway our family of five needed. Charming space and spacious outdoor area perfect for kicking a soccer ball and making s’mores by the fire. One of my favorite cabins we’ve ever stayed at!

My husband and I enjoyed a week of blissful rest in this quiet and private cottage. We walked to the beach of Torch Lake and took photos of the sunset. We took the ferry to Mackinac Island and traveled by horse and buggy around the island. We enjoyed shopping in Alden and Bellaire, including Carters Candles and Brownwood Acres. We liked having a Keurig coffee maker and new cookware to make our meals. The large standard fridge, stove, deep farm sink, and washer/dryer gave us all the comforts of home. I highly recommend staying at one of Chip’s properties!
