The view alone is worth the price! Everything was so lush and beautiful! We felt like we were in our very own private resort. We enjoyed the spacious house itself and the outdoor area. The pool was great and the beds were super comfortable! This was a great base to explore the entire Big Island of Hawaii! I would recommend this home to anyone! Just book it already!

This is our 2nd stay with Debra & Mike’s house. It’s a great property with a salt water pool. We were in the pool morning and afternoons. After a long day we enjoyed cooling off in the pool. Beds are very comfortable and there is an outdoor lava rock shower. If exploring the volcano and driving to black sand beach, this is a great location. The house tends to warm up during the day but the pool area is nice place to lounge. Very peaceful place to come home to.

This has been my family’s favorite Airbnb so far! We had such an amazing time for my son’s 5th birthday! Michelle and her husband made our trip so memorable with their stunningly clean home. They had everything we could have thought of and more, I loved every thoughtful touch and the beautiful decor! They were both so accommodating and flexible with check in and check out and we will be returning again asap. Thank you again you two are amazing hosts and we are so grateful for the time you gave to our family in your beautiful home!

We had an unforgettable stay at Sina’s beautiful Japanese-style home! The design of the house was stunning—open, peaceful, and incredibly accommodating for our entire family. The kids were in heaven with the spacious yard, spending hours exploring, playing, and splashing in the pool. The location was perfect—peacefully secluded for privacy and relaxation, yet conveniently close to stores and everything we needed. Sina was a fantastic host: extremely responsive, thoughtful, and supported by a wonderful team that ensured our stay was seamless from start to finish. To top it all off, we were lucky enough to witness the volcano's 25th eruption during our stay—an absolutely breathtaking and once-in-a-lifetime experience! We highly recommend this stay and will definitely be coming back. Thank you, Sina, for sharing your amazing home with us!

Mike and Kim were very friendly and made us feel right at home. Although they live in the property, they respected our privacy. House was clean and had everything we needed for our 6 week stay. The pool was incredible, which our kids and us frequently enjoyed. It was hard to leave and hope to be back again.

This is an absolutely amazing Airbnb with all the amenities to have a memorable time on the Hilo side of Big Island! Lynne and Jerry are wonderful hosts, who are very responsive and attentive to detail to ensure that their guests have the best experience possible. The home is spacious, immaculately clean, very comfortable, quiet, and very private. There's an automated gate that secures entry into the property, however, the surrounding area is very safe with many friendly neighbors who embody the Aloha spirit! The home is newly built with modern appliances, as are the bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bathroom. It was built in a very eco-conscious and sustainable way. We had many plans scheduled during our time on this side of the island and this Airbnb is very strategically located near all the main tourist attractions, including Hilo/greater Hilo area as well as Mauna Kea. I cannot recommend this place enough and it would be an absolute pleasure to stay here again!

Such a cute spot for if you have a group or multiple families traveling together, as you can reserve all the different cottages. Well equipped kitchen and comfy bed.

Beautiful house with tasteful furnishing. A bit cramped if the tv is pulled out because the tv is set up on a rollable cabinet but still very beautiful and comfortable place to use as base for exploring the volcano national park. Host is friendly and communicative.

Beautiful home, the waves put me to sleep every night as well is the comfortable mattress. Kids enjoyed playing Pac-Man and watching the Nena from the back deck. Coffee and the sunrises were the best. Thanks a lot!

Peaceful and private secure residence. Has everything 2 people need without feeling claustrophobic. Cooktop, pans/plates/cups/utensils, fridge, etc. No AC, but there are plenty of ceiling fans to keep the home cool. I appreciate the convenience of the parking space and a reasonable distance to everything we did. There’s plenty of local restaurants nearby along with conveniences like laundromats, gas stations, and a longs drugs. The places we visited were Maku’u Point (down the road), the botanical garden (40 min), Volcanic National Park (45 min), Pohoiki thermal pools (42 min), Leleiwi beach (45 min), and Mauna Kea (1 hr 20). While the drive may seem like much, we often broke them up with meals halfway. Leleiwi is the far end of downtown Hilo so town is really only 30 minutes away. If you go to Mauna Kea, I recommend eating downtown beforehand to shorten the drive. We were blessed to view Kilauea’s eruption (a smoke column rising above a sea of clouds) from Mauna Kea at sunset!

Great place to stay south of Hilo. Clean, well equipped kitchen, and responsive host. The area is peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed our week stay here.

WOW! I'm not sure I have the appropriate words to describe this home. We slept with the windows and doors open (screens were closed) every night and listened to the ocean crashing on the rocks, the critters that lived nearby and the rain. It was like nature's own sound machine. Everything was as described. We would definitely recommend. Susan was great to work with, as she allowed us to drop our bags off before check-in. If you are staying in the warmer months, it is warm and there is no A/C.

A unique experience! We loved feeling like we were living in a private jungle – the plantings are stunning and offer a great sense of privacy even though the neighbors are actually nearby. You will hear the sounds of the island (frogs, chickens, music) but for us that was a plus. This location gave us great access to some places we hadn't explored on previous trips. Definitely take care with any food or crumbs left out in the kitchen, as the tiny ants arrive quickly : )

The place was as described and a convenient jumping off location for many activities on the eastern side of the Big Island. Quiet and comfortable!

Home just as pictured and described. A/C was such a relief with the tropical climate. Everything was very clean and welcoming. The master bedroom restroom had a very cool imitation of volcanic rock for the floor. Only *minor* issue would be the entrance to the driveway is a little on the steep side. we bottomed out our car on 2 occasions but as long as you take a really sharp approach angle when leaving, you'll be perfectly fine; or an suv/truck would have no issues at all. Overall, great stay and worth every dollar!

We had an enjoyable stay at the jungle get away. It was very peaceful and beautiful. Liz gave us a number of local places to visit though we did not have the spare time but will if we are ever there again. Liz was very responsive when we had questions and would definitely stay there again.

We had a great time in the house of Tabitha. The house is very nice, comfortable. In the heart of the forest, it is a magical place. The balcony with the observatory to the stars is so nice. Thank you for everything.

This has been my favorite stay by far. Sandy’s place made us feel right at home. It was very clean, friendly communication before & during our stay, an easy check in, & the house manager is next door to help with anything. The amenities were great, updated appliances, & beach supplies. The Ohana room was a dream for our oldest girl to feel like she had her own space. The whole layout was perfect. The lanai had seat & swings in the back to give the perfect morning coffee spot. The front door retractable screen was so cool too! We had the doors & windows open for the perfect breeze. I seriously cannot recommend this stay enough to anyone. We were all so sad to leave the house. It felt like a second home during our week stay. Sandy was incredibly kind & I can’t wait to come back. We will absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful home in a gorgeous location in Keaau. Ocean views from the lanai and could hear the sound of the waves crashing on the cliffs just across the quiet street. Very peaceful and relaxing.

My friends and I had the most lovely weekend! Louona is extremely responsive, knowledgable about all the fun local spots, and incredibly welcoming. This home is equipped with much more than most rentals. From beach supplies, abundant towels, extra linens and the absolute best tea selection! We were all suprised that the home was much bigger than we anticipated. Three of us had ample space to relax, make meals and find quiet corners to read in. You will not regret booking this home.
