Sally is a welcoming host with delicious homemade cake on arrival. Filter coffee, milk and tea is also provided. The snug is comfortable, private and the upstairs space is well planned. We spent many hours on the decking adjoining the bedroom watching birdlife, and even a resident woodpecker. We have stayed here before and will return. I would recommend Barn Owl Snug for outgoing couples who like walking and peaceful surroundings.

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. We had a great stay as a family of 4 and the kids especially loved having the horses in the field out the front. Lucy was a great host! We would highly recommend.

Upon arrival we were greeted instantly by some cuddly cats. We really enjoyed sitting outside to drink tea, listen to the birds and take in the view of the beautiful landscape and adorable ponies grazing in a field just across from us. Highly recommend to anyone seeking some peace away from a loud busy city. Hot tub was super cosy and relaxing, though requires a decent fire to get going. Ailsa preheated it for us before we got there on the first night which was very helpful. Great space inside, very clean and cosy. Everything you need could be found tucked away neatly in a cupboard. We were even left some fluffy dressing gowns! Ailsa is a lovely host, super friendly and helpful.
