Our eco-wooden house is located in the small town of Süderhastedt between the Kiel Canal and the North Sea. We ourselves live in Hamburg and have discovered this region away from the tourist hustle and bustle as an oasis of peace and a counterpoint to the big city. In the morning the rooster crows, in the evening the flames crackle in the fireplace and at night a heavenly peace under a clear starry sky. After the unfortunate fire of our cozy thatched cottage, we now have a light-flooded wooden house.

Kleine Heimat

Slightly away from the tourist strongholds of St. Peter Ording and Büsum, the Kleine Heimat is located in the heart of the march in the municipality of Oesterwurth. The 80m² apartment was completely renovated in 2017 and is located in the walls of an old cabbage barn on the rear part of a 1,500m² plot. It has a separate entrance, a modern, fully equipped fitted kitchen, a spacious dining and living area and two bedrooms (1 large double bed + 1 bunk bed).

In the district town of Heide, 20 km from the North Sea, we offer part of our house as a complete, completely separate residential unit of approx. 120 m2 for max. 4 people. The apartment is located in a quiet residential street, about 15 minutes walk to the Heide center/market square and is very convenient as a starting point for walks in the moor, forest and for bike tours. Bikes can be stored and the car can be parked right outside the front door.

This apartment is the old classroom of a school over 100 years old. It has been completely renovated and the charm of bygone times has been preserved. The accommodation is part of our Quellental forest estate in Odderade, Dithmarschen district and is located in the middle of a forest clearing, nestled in a picturesque pond area. Our forestry operation is part of the largest forest area on the North Sea coast, the Riesewohld. Here, 700 hectares of partly uncultivated, natural forest invite you to linger and explore.
