Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Hersonissos

We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

we had a great week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with a magnificent view of the sea. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk away, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort very well located to visit the north of the island. Beautiful discovery

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Majo with my family for two weeks in August. The villa itself is beautiful and ideally located in Agia Palagia, just 20 minutes from Heraklion and about the same distance from the airport. The property is brand new and impeccably maintained, featuring five comfortable bedrooms. The upstairs rooms offer stunning sea views, making mornings truly special. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional hospitality. Maria, the owner, is incredibly attentive and goes above and beyond to cater to your every need, acting almost like a personal concierge. Whether it's arranging beach trips, restaurant reservations, or even a manicure, Maria has it covered. And the massage—simply the best I've ever had! Rena, who looks after the villa, prepares and serves delicious breakfasts daily and cooks amazing dinners in their charming wine room, separate from the main house. Her culinary skills are outstanding. I highly recommend villa Majo. Perfect stay !

It was all perfect!! The apartment is bigger than it looks in the pictures. Everything is very, very clean and lovingly furnished. There's nothing missing! The balconies are great, I enjoyed lying on the lounger in the sun and looking at the trees. No one can look up at the balcony by the bedroom, you really have your peace here. Just a few minutes' walk and you are already in the lively old town. Nevertheless, you have your peace and quiet here. I was able to sleep well and the bed was very comfortable. You have everything you need here and I immediately felt very comfortable. The hosts are very pleasant and warm. I love Crete and especially Malia and can also recommend this accommodation without restriction. There is also parking is available right in front of the house. Price and performance is excellent!! We stayed at Villa Elena for a week. ( Family of five / three children age 8,11 and 14. The Villa was lovely - nicer than the photos. We loved the pool - great size, a bit bigger and deeper than expected. The view was was amazing, i miss it already. Beaches, restaurants and shops in walking distance. Everyone was so friendly. George was a brilliant host - very responsive and kind He spent time giving great recommendations which was very helpful. We loved our time in crete and would definitely recommend booking here.

My husband and I spent the whole of September in the great house. We felt at home from the start. It is comfortably furnished and has fantastic views. The tranquility is impressive. You only hear goats, cicadas, crows and vultures. We enjoyed every minute and will be back again. Aiga and Josef have prepared everything superbly, so we easily found the house and great taverns. We had a wonderful and unforgettable stay in Crete. Katerina welcomed us very well in this paradise island me and my sister. Indeed, she welcomed us at the bus stop to show us the beautiful apartment which is a 10-minute walk from the beach. The apartment had all the necessary amenities and it was very clean (the bedrooms, the kitchen, the shower, the sheets,...). Katerina was listening and answering all our questions throughout our stay. She showed us the supermarket which is 10 minutes away by bus where you can find tasty vegetables and fruits and local products like olive oil and honey. It also showed us the tourist places: the most beautiful beaches of Crete like the sublime Sarantaris beach, the beautiful Heraklion Cruises to Dia Island and the beautiful neighboring towns like Nikolaos. Thank you so much for a lovely holiday in your beautiful apartment, we loved it! The apartment is just like the photos with the view from the balcony absolutely fantastic. We loved walking down the steps and straight onto the beach for a swim each day. Such a wonderful location. My husband and I spent a lovely week at Asteri Home. The house was exactly as expected and just what we wanted for our week in Crete. The kitchen was well-equipped and allowed us to make breakfasts and a some dinners at home. The main double bedroom was big enough and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dark and the shower is quite small, but we made do. The most amazing part of the house is the huge garden overlooking the sea that has 4 sun loungers, 2 outdoor tables for dining, a BBQ and a dart board. We spent a lot of time sitting at the end of the garden enjoying the view. Véronique and Yiannis are amazing hosts. They were so helpful right from the start - arranging transport from the airport, a rental car, offering suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Kokkini Hani is quieter than other more touristy parts of Crete we visited. We found wonderful Greek restaurants with fresh seafood everyday. The supermarket and shops are all in walking distance. A lovely place!

Eirini was lovely. Her apartment wasn’t located in the nicest of areas but inside made up for it. The outside area didn’t quite live up to the photos but still was nice. The shower was an issue we had many cold showers even after following her instructions. All in all lovely host

We stayed in a really well furnished home, with all possible comforts available. The host is really nice and welcoming. The only thing is the neighborhood, quiet but a little shabby. However the house is amazing, we couldn't ask for better

Leaving Emmanouil’s lovely Airbnb in Crete was very sad. The view is unbelievable and the place is very spacious. Easy access to the city center, the ferry station, and the airport. Emmanouil is a wonderful host and was gracious enough to provide some wonderful recommendations. I can’t wait to come back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation had everything we needed. Our host was very communicative and even brought us breakfast one morning – a very kind gesture! Within 5 minutes, you can reach the beach, a café, a restaurant, and a supermarket. Other than that, there isn’t much in the immediate surroundings, but the location is perfect for a relaxing stay.

Friendly communication with Frank. He was quick to respond and with "issues" it was quickly resolved. The house is beautiful and met all expectations. The only downside we have experienced is the barking of the dogs nearby, mainly at night this was sometimes disturbing.

We just loved everything about this airbnb!!!!! The house was AMAZING, incredible views, incredible features, we went to the pool, did barbecue, breakast with ocean view, everything and more we expected! Konstations is THE BEST host we ever got!! Not only he was hiper reactive, attentious ( he made sure to got us on the airport so we arrive well, his mom cooked us food because they would imagine we would arrive late and hungry), incredibly generous and nice!! We loved our stay at this comfortable, immaculate property with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Dimitris was extremely responsive and helpful, Popi who met us at checkin was friendly and welcoming, and Maria who came by to clean was sweet. The apartment is located in a great area as it is a small seaside community but still has a grocery store, restaurants, and pharmacy within walking distance. We rented a car and drove all over. I really enjoyed the time we spent outside on the patio listening to the waves crashing.

We had an extremely nice stay at the villa. The pool and the view are simply breathtaking. The rooms are very spacious and there is plenty of space to relax. Everything was very clean and we didn't miss anything. Thank you for everything Stavros. We'll be back!

We stayed here for my bachelorette trip with a group of girls and had the most amazing time! The villa was even more beautiful in person – clean, spacious, and full of charm. The outdoor space was perfect for lounging by the pool- he even tried helping us heat the pool bc we got a chilly day so we still had a great time and soaking in the Greek view. Our host was incredibly responsive and kind, helping us with everything from local tips to arranging transportation and a private boat trip and massages . It truly felt like a dream getaway – peaceful, private, and full of good vibes LUXURIOUS- 5 STAR Highly recommend for anyone who wants a good trip all the way around- group trip, girls’ getaway, or any special occasion! Our family spent a wonderful 14 days in Manolis’ house at the end of October. We fully recommend this place if you’re traveling with kids! Our twins spent nearly all their time outdoors, feeding the friendly cats, collecting stones, and playing in the treehouse – they were absolutely delighted. The house is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a large family (we were 5 adults and 2 kids) and is beautifully furnished with a stylish and cozy feel. The outdoor area is perfect for children to explore and play safely, and the quiet surroundings made for a relaxing retreat. Manolis and his family were excellent hosts, providing everything we needed to feel at home and ensuring our stay was perfect. If you’re looking for a family-friendly destination with plenty of charm and warmth, this is the ideal spot. We would love to come back!

Our stay was perfect all around! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a lovingly prepared welcome gift. Communication was clear and straightforward from the start, and thanks to the great restaurant recommendations, we discovered some culinary highlights. The house has plenty of space. Furthermore, there were some amenities for the kids such as a trampoline, baby chair, crib, etc. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend this accommodation!
