Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Hexham

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely little cottage. The attention to detail and the welcome pack made us feel at home straight away. Even the dog was included with a blanket and water bowl. It’s in an excellent location to explore Hadrian’s Wall and the Roman forts, as well as Corbridge and Hexham, both worth a visit. These are only a short drive away from the village of Wall itself, which is very picturesque and peaceful. All in all we had a great break in a great place.

Fantastic place - one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. Immaculately presented and in a quiet farm location adjacent to some woodlands which were great for walking. Perfect for anyone seeking a relaxing and peaceful break. Jane was a fantastic host who responded quickly to our messages. The welcome pack and information supplied for visitors were excellent.

Oriel is a beautiful and spacious home where you feel pampered as soon as you arrive.The house is very spacious and decorated beautifully and ideal for 2 couples. Excellent location with a really pleasant walk to the beautiful beach of Warkworth and many places of interest in the area. we had an excellent meal ar Bertram's in the village and would recommend it.

The cottage is delightful, very clean and well equipped. The bed is very comfortable. The location was great, a short walk to the city and we loved climbing the hill back to the cottage. There is a Sainsbury’s mini market within walking distance. Wendy was a great host and answered our questions promptly.

A lovely cottage, in a great location. Had everything we needed and more. Easy instructions to get to location and for check in and check out. Visited Ingleton waterfalls trail, only half hour drive from cottage and well worth visiting, beautiful! Would definitely stay at the cottage again.

Perfect location. 10/10. I did not want to leave. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, unbelievable views, superb location, easy access to logs for fire with which my husband was delighted. 100% would return... tomorrow if it was possible! Our dog (border terrier) had a fantastic time too and was very interested in the wee hedgehog who appeared to be living in the bushes outside and the free range chickens!! There was also a free range doggo popping round to the garden in the evening. Vigilance/ Lead/ supervision was a must for our super inquisitive pup.

A very comfortable apartment in a brilliant setting, ideal for a week away. The view from the bedroom was amazing. Loads of walks nearby, Cragside a couple of miles away. Andy and Lyd were friendly and helpful and the provision of bird seed to feed our feathered visitors was a very nice touch. We'd definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Anna’s place! It’s a beautiful home that has been lovingly renovated and thoughtfully equipped for guests. Anna even provided treats for our dog as well as other goodies to make us feel welcome. Thanks for a great stay!

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. A really lovely little bothy in a beautiful spot. Perfect for a weekend break. We were breaking a journey north but it would be ideal for a few days walking or cycling. Thanks so much Marcelle and Alan and the dogs!

This was one of those places that you would wish to keep a secret. The views are breathtaking, the area is quiet, perfect for a retreat for people willing to charge their batteries from their busy lives. It's a bit off the beaten track, so you need a car or a taxi from the train station to get there, but you can rest from the busy touristic towns of the Lake District. Jeanette was a very discreet and lovely host. She furbished the place with great care. Thank you Jeanette for hosting us, your place was a dream come true!

This is a lovely ground floor flat in an excellent location, it is very well equipped with a lot of nice features and has everything you could possibly need. It is also really nice to arrive to find coffee, tea, milk, etc when you get off the bus after travelling. There is even a little garden area to sit in or hang things out to dry, which is a big plus. Would recommend. It is fantastic for one person or couple.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The place is beautifully decorated with so much character—stylish, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The setting was perfect too—peaceful, charming, and a great base for exploring the area. What really made the experience stand out were the hosts. Super friendly and welcoming, with incredible local knowledge that totally upgraded my trip. From hidden gems to the best spots to eat and explore, their tips made all the difference. Gorgeous, stylish and comfortable flat in a great location for exploring the city. Everything has been thought about: the interior design, the kitchen equipment, the parking permits and the coffee pods, and everything was comfortable and stress free. Spotlessly clean, impeccable comms and a really friendly welcome. There is some road noise, so if you're not normally a city dweller, you could be disturbed. Wasn't a problem for us - highly recommend.

Linda's apartment was just perfect for our stay. Absolutely spotless, everything you could possibly want was available. Great location, 5 minute walk to the Metro then just 3 stops into the city centre or a little bit longer to the coast. Linda was lovely, very welcoming with great communication. Absolutely 5*. We loved staying at Chris’s place in the lovely village of Gainford. The apartment was light, spacious, clean and comfortable and provided everything we needed for our four day stay. It was beautifully renovated and furnished and was above the small local store if there was anything we forgot at the supermarket in Barnard Castle. Chris was a proactive and generous host & we’d be happy to recommend The Nook to other travellers.

Adrian’s accommodation was the perfect place for 2 families to gather. There were 4 adults and 4 kids and the place was absolutely large enough to accommodate all of us. Really like that most rooms had an ensuite. The property had everything we needed and there was even a welcome pack which was really thoughtful. Location was pretty good. There was a Co-op right opposite so that was convenient if we needed any additional supplies. Thanks Adrian for making our stay such a lovely one. We look forward to coming back again in future.

Beautiful property, excellent location. Would love to have stayed longer. Would have preferred the garden to be more private and secure, but this didnt spoil our stay and we had a lovely time . Kitchen was well equipped and the property was bigger than it appeared on the photos!

We stayed here with our two young children for two nights, and we had a great time. A nice, peaceful site, which helped us to relax. The lodge had everything we needed and we would definitely return. Great location within easy reach of the castles and beaches.

We had a fabulous weekend and the house was perfect for a gathering of friends. Really well-equipped, beautiful surroundings and lovely communal areas. Dean was so speedy with communication and came to save us with the lights too!

The place was absolutely stunning. We were awestruck by the gorgeous interior. Visitors can expect a fantastic time staying in the accommodation. However, having a vehicle to travel is a must. There is parking available. Indoor heating (radiators) is provided in every room and common areas. Fireplace was used during our stay in the winter season. The host is very responsive and friendly. While the location provided is accurate. The drive up to the accommodation can erroneous as google map did not consider the closures at Forest Drive. Hence, it will be good to check with the host properly.

Really brilliant place. Lovely house and great amenities. Really well stocked (unusual to have such good wine glasses!!). Well def use again!

We've stayed at other places in the past, but none have given off the positive vibes we experienced here. The care and attention given to the extensive grounds is truly exemplary, right down to the precise way the grass was mown. I never seem to get a good night's sleep except in my own bed, yet here I slept like a lamb for three nights straight! Great beds and luxurious bedding. Finally, the cherry on the cake has to be the privacy and tranquility.
