The property is highly recommended. Oguri is a very friendly and professional host who runs his place impeccably clean and tidy. We really enjoyed it there. Only we underestimated the distance to the center of Kyoto a little, as it takes less than 45 minutes by train to get there. Everything else you need can be found in the immediate vicinity. Perfect spot for Kyoto exploration! Yukari was very friendly, and it was amazing to be able to rent bikes.

Oguri's place is a short walk from Kintetsu's Kutsukawa station, which made it a wonderful place to stay for my time in the Uji/Kyoto area. There was some road noise from the active street, but earplugs were more than enough to cover me during the night (even when I am a very light sleeper) Oguri was kind and very proactive with getting me checked in, even when I was very late with my check-in and late messages.

I loved staying here, Oguri was very proactive in making sure I knew the directions to the unit. He also has a great lists of recommendations in the nearby area, personally I tried his favorite ramen shop and I loved it!! Do not hesitate to book with Oguri!

Loved the room! nice and spacious compared to other places we stayed in Tokyo and Osaka. location is a bit out of the way from tourist spots but you can access everything you need to from nijo station or via bus.

Great place to stay a few nights in Kyoto.

The place was very spacious and the bathroom was top tier. Even though it was very spacious, I’d say 4 people is the sweet spot. It was 3 of us staying and we had enough space for our luggage. Would definitely stay again.

Papuru’s place was truly a gem! Lots of space, close to bus and train stations, and in a super quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Bathroom was squeaky clean, shower easy to use. Having the AC unit was great too. Linens were clean and cozy

charged extra .... i was 35 min late to checkout and was charged 2000 yen extra .....I don't think it was a right decision to do this and charge me extra as I requested a lot because I was having a baby with me

Second time staying at Toki and it’s just perfect for me. Quiet location within walking distance of sights and restaurants and access to public transport for getting further afield. More than enough space for a couple of friends sharing. Will always be my first choice accommodation for Kyoto!

Very clean and spacious! Host was very accommodating. Really nice location next to To-ji temple and Kyoto station.

The place was perfectly sized for me travelling on my own, the bed was comfortable and there was a place to store clothes, and a functional kitchen. It was a bit out of the way, an 8-ish minute walk from the metro, but I tend to like that when I’m travelling. The host was very helpful and replied quickly when I messaged with questions!

extraordinary host, helpful with check ins and other matters during the stay. found my lost phone :)). location: near sukiya, macs and 3 kombinis. but a bit harder to get to (need take bus then walk) but this makes it rather peaceful. washing machine is free to use but dryer takes a while to dry. room is clean, pillows and sheets are clean. toilet clean. no complains. room just nice for 3 ppl. able to open 3 big luggages (opened in dining room, washing room and bedroom)

Great place, with an amazing kitchen. A perfect way for a group of people or a family to spend time together in Kyoto and feel more like staying in an apartment than in a hotel. Note that there are two "bedrooms" -- the small bedroom is fully private, has a door and is near the apartment entrance. The large bedroom doesn't have a door and is mostly private but opens part of the way to the living room. It was very comfortable for us -- we were an adult couple who took the small bedroom with the door, while our single friend took the large bedroom which was semi-private and partially open to the living room. Great internet, lots of bottled water included, great shower (one shower/bathtub).

The accommodation was clean, and I stayed well before heading out.

Good access from Kyoto Shijo.There are 4 bunk beds in the room, but the beds on the upper level are difficult to climb.It is a mixed room, but the shower is in the room.
