Boutique hotel holiday rentals in Hilo

We stayed at Volcano Village Estates on 3/23/2025, our stay was spectacular. We were maybe 6 minutes away from the National Park, and then 25 minutes for a major grocery store. This spot is perfect for us you want to go to the NP at night to watch the lava (if there is any). John was extremely welcoming and attentive to all of our questions and issues. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this for while staying here in volcano.

Really liked it there. Spacious, clean, and a very responsive host. Plus, there was a sweet orange kitty hanging around to love on. (Hope the owner adopts her. I wanted to smuggle her back in my carry on.)

Absolute Gem!! This has to be one of the most cute cabins we’ve ever rented! The cabin is just perfect for 2, and is very well appointed. Gorgeous inside and the property around it is like a fairy tale filled with beautiful flowers, plants & trees. Let the rain tapping on the roof and the frogs serenade you to sleep. Perfectly located to allow you to explore the island during the day, come back for an early evening nap and get up to see the volcano lava flows at night! Amazing place and excellent host. Do not hesitate in booking this.

This is a review not so much on Cody's rental, but actually on Cody himself. My father would always say "son, there will times when your tested when nobody is looking, and that is called your character. You're character is something is how most men are judged behind closed doors without you present in the room. So before you do anything where you have to question if something is right or wrong, just think of your character." Well Cody did just that. He didn't have to do anything and just kept on with his life, but he made a decision to do the right thing without question. For that alone, I would never stay anywhere else when visiting Big Island. Thank you Cody for restoring my faith in humanity. You truly are a stand up guy who deserves more than just this review..Mahalo nui loa!

Great location, host was responsive and proactive. The cottage was clean and well put together. Definitely would stay again !!!

Nice place to stay, very close to the airport. Easy to find and easy check-in and out. Just stayed the night but was wonderful to sleep in a nice bed after a long flight that was nicely done up. One suggestion is to maybe get a area rug for the floor in the living room. Floor quite hard.

Love this Inn. So quaint and clean. Unique location with very cute shops in walking distance. Easy parking and responsive host. Highly recommend.

Genuinely the nicest inn we stayed at for our whole time on Big Island! Super clean, modern and very nice room, easy parking, round the corner from Akaka Falls, cute little shops and cafes on the same street too! Loved our stay here!

Beautiful! Such a serene and gorgeous retreat. Accidentally booked a different hotel for the wrong weekend, but luckily I found this inn the day of our stay. Everything was clean, exactly as described and pictured, and comfortable. The shades over the deck doors were a nice touch since the light outside was pretty bright as other reviewers described. Overall I’m super glad we stayed here and I’m sad we couldn’t stay another night.

Very easy to find your way around from this location. Very quiet.

Robert and Andrea were lovely! Andrea was on property when we arrived sweeping up some foliage and maintaining the grounds. She welcomed us kindle and had the AC running in our room upon arrival. We had everything we needed for our mini staycation. Thank you, we’ll be back the next time we need an escape from Kona!
