Great place to stay! Quaint cabin that encourages spending quality time with others and is an escape from reality. Cabins close to the road definitely get road noise, but as city dwellers it did not bother us at all! Well worth it.

Awesome house for a long weekend with a big group! It is about a 25-30 minute drive into Traverse City but we appreciated the peacefulness of the smaller lake and beautiful views. Gets pretty buggy at night but that is to be expected on the water in the summer. Some of the most comfortable beds our group had slept in at an Airbnb! Only thing to note that the pictures don’t really show is that the trundle bed is in a loft so will be able to hear from the living room. Pontoon boat was an awesome value add. We’d definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect location to explore Northern Michigan. It was so close to many places we wanted to visit. The resort itself had so many amenities. We loved the pools and the beautiful neighborhoods. I highly recommend it because it’s a peaceful landing spot after a day of exploring the breathtaking region.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin in the woods! The hot tub was perfect to relax and enjoy the nature around. We seen several deer on the property. The house was accommodating and had all the basics. We appreciated the firewood as the days and nights were chilly and we love to cook on the fire. Communication with the owners was easy with quick responses.

This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The house is in a quiet area with easy parking and views and an easy walk to the bay. Check-in was simple, with Kate providing great instructions for the keypad to let ourselves in. The house was cozy with all amenities as described, and we felt right at home. All the Traverse City attractions were easy to get to, and Kate provided great recommendations. We had an awesome time and would definitely stay here again.

Nice cabin in the woods. Hot tub works but could use a new control panel. Inside is what we expected and more. Comfy beds. two fire pits outside. if you have small kids like us be aware there is a steep drop around one side and partly behind the cabin thats pretty close to fire pit. If i decide to stay near baldwin or go hunting the state game area i will deffinitly be back here. not the cleanist place but for the price im not even gonna conplain. wasnt terrible but could have been dusted and swept up a little more. i just grabbed the broom in the bathroom and used the shark vaccum on arrival and when we left. its not nasty dirty so dont take me the wrong way. for the price conpared to similar cabins and what we got out of it i feel its worth it by a long shot. A fantastic "Up North" vacation spot. Stayed in a log home with beautiful views. Great amenities -- fantastic pool/hot tub, fire pit for smores, gazebo, great deck, and pool table. Nice kitchen. Comfortable bedrooms. Easy access to downtown Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, shopping, fishing and nearby grocery stores and gas stations (as well as Starbucks). Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home just as described. Very peaceful setting and we enjoyed the deer that came to visit each day. Great location and easy drive to many local attractions.

It was a real treat to stay in the national forest. I miss it already! If our daughter stays in Manistee we will be back.

We spent the weekend here for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! It was great to escape for a few nights - we loved the private location & all of the amenities with the cabin (record player, dvd player, coffee maker, etc.) as well as the campfire area. This is very close to Torch Lake, as well as only ~45 minutes from Traverse City so there is plenty to do if you are looking to go out. The cabin was cozy & relaxing, so you may just want to stay there the whole time. I would caution future guests to prepare yourselves for the drive in - it’s hidden in a wooded area, so your car may be stuck in the mud or blocked by fallen trees - just be prepared for that. Otherwise, this was the perfect getaway & we can’t wait to return!

Great stay, worth the price easily. be warned that this cabin is very small, I am above 6' and I had some trouble in the shower and beds, but it was very peaceful and comfortable regardless. If you're using Google maps look for highway 31 cabins, the address can bring you to a nearby abandoned building.

Loved the house. Plenty of space. Clean. Soft bed, hot water. Loved the river behind the house, the dogs loved watching the fish as well. It wasn’t as private as I thought, there is a neighbor right next door, and one down the street, and one currently being built across the street but down a little. But the neighbor is nice and keeps to himself. Personally I thought it was going to be a little more private, but that would be my biggest complaint. I would definitely stay again. It was close to everywhere we needed to go, but far enough out of the big towns that it felt private. Definitely recommend the hot turkey sandwich at the Cherry Hut. Good food at Dilbert’s cafe and platte river as well. Hiking is great at sleeping bear dunes, and if you have time, check out Traverse City nature center, they have a hiking system and it’s got some great trails. Some great shopping in downtown traverse city as well and Glen arbor. House is easy to find and would def stay again if in the area!!

Isla Fern is a hidden gem! We had the best time making memories in this thoughtfully designed space. There were many great amenities that you wouldn’t find in most rentals. We appreciated how dog friendly, and kid friendly the rental was. Check in and communication was seamless. I would highly suggest Isla Fern for your getaway!

This is such a special place. Enjoyed a nice weekend with my girlfriends. We enjoyed the privacy and the many areas to hangout here. Highly recommend

Loved this great find near Traverse City! The property was beautiful with a cute little beach. There were beach chairs on the sand and above on an astroturf seating area. There were also a couple docks to walk out farther onto the water. Our dogs enjoyed the slight waves and exploring the wooded area on leash. The cabin was clean and comfortable. It was about 20 minutes to Traverse City, so it was easy to get to lots to do as well as the beautiful beaches in the area. We loved sitting at the public beach with our dogs. Such a relaxing place to stay and a great town to enjoy with family and pets.

A hidden gem—nestled in the woods, yet close to everything. The charming cabin was spotless, well-stocked, and its back wall of windows opened to an enchanted view. The serene river out back—with a dock, kayaks, and fire ring—made it feel like a private retreat. Our visit was part of a brief family reunion getaway with our two sons and daughter-in-law, and Emily was wonderfully responsive, warm, and accommodating. Though brief, our stay was incredibly relaxing—kayaking, sitting by the fire with s'mores (provided!), enjoying the outdoor shower, and sipping morning coffee on the deck while soaking in the calm. We truly didn't want to leave. Highly recommend this gem to anyone seeking comfort and nature in one perfect spot.

Great place, gave it five stars, it’s a nice cabin. Don’t expect luxury, this is a cabin, but clean and all amenities work well. Went with my family for an archery event at crystal mountain and it was 3 min from crystal mountain which made it great for naps for my 2yr old. I’d stay again!

Our stay at this charming cabin in Benzonia was absolutely perfect and exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a true gem. The highlight was undoubtedly the private lake right in the backyard. It was incredibly well-maintained and offered a serene and picturesque setting for a truly quiet getaway. We spent hours enjoying the peaceful views and the sense of seclusion it provided. The cabin itself was impeccably clean and incredibly well-equipped with everything we could possibly need. It truly felt like a home away from home, allowing us to relax and unwind without a single worry. A special shout-out to the hosts, who were simply the sweetest and most helpful individuals. Their warmth and attentiveness made our stay even more enjoyable. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, testament to their thoughtful organization. We've stayed at many Airbnbs, but honestly, we've never been this satisfied! Beyond the cabin's tranquility, its location is fan

The cabin was exactly what we expected from the photos and description. Everything was clean, updated, and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for homemade meals. Our kids really enjoyed the loft. We would definitely stay there again!

Great cabin located driving distance from sleeping bear dunes and other great places. We had a wonderful time here!

The property is private and in a peaceful location. It was the right property for the trip visiting Crystal Mountain and relaxing in the evenings around a campfire. I highly recommend this property for a small family or group.

We had plenty of room for 8 adults and one infant. It was well stocked with kitchen utensils, dishes, a propane grill, and was in a great location for exploring this beautiful part of Northern Michigan. The beds were firm but comfortable, the property was beautiful, and we had a great time. It was on a busy road but the traffic noise inside the home was barely noticeable. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This place is amazing! Most of the windows and porch have views of the lake. It was so peaceful, calming, and quiet. We saw trumpeter swans and other birds, amazing stars, and beautiful sunrises/sunsets from the dock. It is very close to Sleeping Bear Dunes and other trails/sites. It was a bit off season and during the weekdays so not sure how private it would be during the summer - but we had the place to ourselves :-). The cabin is compact but cozy. The 2 bedrooms have full sized beds - great for 2 single people or a couple with maybe 1 kid. I can't imagine 2 couples staying there though due to thin walls and not a lot of storage.
